I hope GME is added to Cryptsy.
Also, WTS 2.5k GME
GME is currently #1 on the list of potential coins to be added to cryptsy so we expect it to be added when BigVern next adds some coins. Outside of that I can't tell you anything. It may be worth holding any coins you have until then though.

Huh, alright, thanks for the info. How much are the selling for currently on this forum?
I don't think there has been much in the way of private trades as there has only recently been renewed interest. The market will ultimately decide their value but 2500 GME is only 2.5 blocks worth so it's not a great deal of coins when it comes to GME.

The dodgy peers fix is now be officially live and verified as working. If you check the debug.txt file you should now see that many peers are getting disconnected as soon as they attempt to connect to you for using an obsolete version with versions that were previously allowed to connect. you should see messages such as this: connected 97.81.165.175:9333 send version message: version 80100, blocks=58696, us=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx, them=97.81.165.175:9333, peer=97.81.165.175:9333 partner 97.81.165.175:9333 using obsolete version 70002; disconnecting If you're using GameCoin v0.8.1 you don't necessarily have to do anything. Peers with incorrect blocks should naturally get kicked for bad behaviour and once they're gone, there is no way they can return. However if you want to get rid of them instantly, restarting your client will result in you only connecting to GameCoin v0.8.1 clients and you won't need to wait for the peers to be banned for bad behaviour.

Looks good. The display error has gone. I currently show 20 nodes connected to me. All the new version. Great work.

Thanks for updating guys, I hope you're all enjoying a client that actually reflects the real state of synchronisation for the first time in GameCoin's history. We've lived with this issue so long, it's good to finally be over it.
Next milestone at Block 60,000 which should occur within 2 days, and of course a cryptsy listing should be coming soon too.

nice work. finally i can mine without losing accepted blocks That is really a ridiculous statement and you only make it clear you have no idea what you're talking about and are incapable of reading the information in this very thread. There was never a real syncing issue, it was merely a display oddity due to the QT wallet seeing clients connected with a much larger chain than the genuine one. GameCoin has had many checkpoints locking it onto the correct chain since the revival effort started about 3 months ago and new checkpoints have been continuously added as and when new versions have been released.

So, now that we got an exchange and a half decent client, can we start talking about the actual GME economy? People have to step up to the plate and get an actual economic system running. What games do we target for acceptance? Who is our average user? What other projects are there that involve GME?

I lost 2-3 blocks that have not been credited to my account because the server had lost synchronization with the network. these blocks have been generated, but does not own any. do not be blind to the problems.

Well once we were exchange listed we did intend to approach coingas and see if they were prepared to accept GameCoin as a means of payment for Steam codes. I'm not sure if our initial listing on the LTC market will be a problem there because the site would have to go from GME --> LTC --> BTC to work out any pricing but I'll still contact the site owner and see what he says. I do mention my own personal plan in post #3 and I have already begun work on this. Now GME is exchange listed I will be working as hard as I can to get a prototype up and running as soon as I can. As to other services, we'd love it if anyone contacts us with regards to accepting payment, just because the coin is called GameCoin it shouldn't necessarily preclude it from being accepted for other purposes.

If you lost blocks they were most likely orphaned by someone solving the block before you. There was never any real syncing issue, only perceived due to the QT wallet showing you incorrect info on the state of the synchronization due to dodgy peers in amongst the real peers.

I have a question, in the gamecoin specifikations you set the total coins to 1.67 billion. But how much is it ? In europe its 10 exp 12 and in the us you say one billion is 10 exp 9 . Is it 167.000.000.000 or 1.670.000.000 ?Gamecoin specifications 2.5 minute block targets 48 blocks (2 hours) to retarget difficulty subsidy halves every 840,000 blocks (~4 years) ~1.67 billion total coins 1000 coins per block Scrypt based

I have a problem, I have send some gamecoins to cryptsy with the old version and then later upgraded to 081 but the transaction dont have any confirmations and I lost my gamecoins. I have deleted all files in appdata roaming except the wallet.dat and then started the new client, but it dont give any confirmation.

In the UK (which is in Europe) a billion = 1,000 million (10 digits) and that is the convention used in the specs. I have a problem, I have send some gamecoins to cryptsy with the old version and then later upgraded to 081 but the transaction dont have any confirmations and I lost my gamecoins. Try running with the -rescan flag and it should detect your transaction never made it onto the blockchain and attempt to send it again.

I can agree with the above, I did the same and it took me another few hours with the new clients rescan option to send them
