All this make bitcoin a perfect gift for your love, wife, and family.

1.  your gift for Christmas will be a bitcoin?.
2. your ways to gift bitcoins "Hardware wallet, bitcoin gifts, paper wallet, Physical Coins, Donate"?.

I think it is a unique thing to do. In my country there is an exchange that features voucher, with voucher we can give gift easily. even the service can make us directly convert to local currency. Maybe in some countries it also exists, but I think I am lucky because Bitcoin can be freely used in my place.

It is a nice idea but if the other person knows Bitcoin also because if they don't you need to teach, they might also have a hard time figuring out how Bitcoin work. also it is not advisable for children, it is still better to give children the traditional way giving them a dollars for every kid that you know you are their godparent. I already cashout some Bitcoin to give to all my godchildren.

Not a bad idea since they would be also digging it after it has gained some value or they realize that it can be traded with fiat and can also use to buy whatever the hell they want to. And it's like a geek's way of giving money for Christmas, too! They will appreciate the effort plus the value of the coin would also appreciate over time. $50 wouldn't hurt, just place it on a paper wallet and you're good to go!

Giving the gift of a hardware wallet with some coin on it would be a fantastic way to introduce someone to bitcoin it is also a very thoughtful gift!
I have given out some paper wallets in Xmas cards this year to a few select friends that are starting to become interested in bitcoin.

I popped $100 on each wallet and have given them full instructions on how to redeem the coins.

It will be a better way for New Year gift. On December 10, 2017, Chicago Exchange Cboe Global Markets for the first time in history began trading in futures. Through a broker, you can now buy a contract with a deadline until March 2018. The obvious disadvantages are the complexity of the purchase and the high cost, since one bitcoin is the unit of the contract.

Lol giving bitcoin as a gift is a welcome idea cos the person you're giving might not even know the worth in the next 1 year. So he'd be shocked when he gets to know the value a year on. You should tell the person to hodl for long to be able to suck the juice

Yes bitcoin is a perfect give this Christmas, yet, everything is I believe. Some higher rank members here done some bitcoin giveaways not too long ago, which I considered as a gift in a form of bitcoin. But I also believe, at Christmas, value doesn't matter most, but goodness is.

Bitcoin as a gift will certainly seem strange, if the people we love still do not know what Bitcoin is,
for now I only give physical things such as shoes and clothes to the people I love as a gift Christmas

That is absolutely a perfect idea if you want your christmas a merrier one. You cant help but just be thankful right? You would be the luckiest if you receive bitcoin as a christmas gift from someone. You can invest it or wait until it goes high so when you sell you would get higher earnings right then. It is very unusual if someone would give you bitcoin. Because you can use bitcoin anywhere. It is somewhat like receiving amount of money and when you sell it, you would get higher amount.

Because of bitcoins popularity and its market value, i agree that bitcoin would be really interesting and good present for Christmas. Giving bitcoin as a gift to someone, is similar as giving gold as an gift. It would be really original and valuable present, because if that person decide to hold them for a bit longer they could get even more expensive present. Tongue

Bitcoin is definitely going to make anyone happy if given as a gift. But, if you're planning to send one only now, your receiver might need to wait until new year's day.  Grin

I will not give nor receive bitcoin as a gift for Christmas. The reason is very simple, there are people near me who are using bitcoin so there is no sense to give them any and I can't expect to get some.
But this would be excellent gift for me and I would be very happy about it. Bitcoin is simple gift but very effective and has great value, it's universal gift for everyone.

Well to give someone bitcoin as a gift for Christmas is very smart, but you need to know what type of person he/she is. He might like a physical gift like a teddy bear or a jewellery. But definitely gifting bitcoins instead of fiat currency to someone is way better choice.
