The coin is getting killed off by the development team and a new one being started, lead dev went awol with health issues.

While they are moving to the new coin there is no point in mining, time for some good old Monero or sumo.

Should pop by HashVault and meet the new team and community, a lot has changed over the year!

If you fancy a punt on a new coin, these would be my recommendations

We do a fair bit to help miners, free public blockchain node for each coin we support, Discord, Forums and Full-Time staff.

If you ever have any problems or suggestions you can contact me directly on our forum via the messaging system https://forum.hashvault.pro/profile/1-snider or email me snider@hashvault.pro

If that is the case then I hope there is some kind of coin swap offered for all the people who have wasted weeks if not months mining Edollar and supporting the project.

Well, having some random guy coming and making big statements is the same speculation as from everybody else. Without proof it's pointless to believe him over any of the others. There are dozens of reasons such speculation could be profitable for him.

What I wonder about is, there is close to 1/3 drop in the network hasrate, some big miner left? Or the fork is finally getting implemented? Questions, only questions Cheesy

they seem to be doing a swap to the new coin, but people should always do their own due diligence, to the other people... I am some random guy yes, so go research it before saying I'm wrong.

and no, I'm not a dev, pool operator for HashVault.pro... as nothing was posted here I thought I would quickly mention that the coin has died in its current form... its a shame I liked the new website

take a look at their discord, https://discord.gg/Eq7HV4N

I assume that network drop you noticed is the fact we closed the edollar pool https://edollar.hashvault.pro

we will probably pick up the new coin if the community votes for it Smiley

As stated, it's a joke. First of all, when the development team is so "professional" that they rely so much on single person, without which they abandon it, how can they even want to develop something else? Do they have new leader to rely on or what? Cheesy That itself is SO much trustworthy that another shitcoin will be dead before it started.

Next, if they play like a developers or whatever, the largest community is here. Why there is no word here? Not on the official pools? Not on the official website? Who ARE those guys?! Or do they not have access to the site administration or what? What do they develop than? Cheesy What poll to they talk about, where did I vote for a new shitcoin? I do not remember. What's that all about, some chat at some shitsite? A pool operator randomly sees and has to relay instead of THEM wannabe developers coming forward? I trust no word they send, if that's even truth some THEM want to switch over. There is already over 1200 altcoins, after what they are pulling, who will care about another one? Who will TRUST them? EDL has both nice technology background AND also a good name.

Last but not least, if they premine 10k and there are already tens of MILLIONS EDL, how much am I going to get with close to half a mil, a 50 shitcoins? Which I'll mine in 10 minutes if I switch over? That's a good one! Maybe they should rather pick a career of stand-up actors.

No way. Besides some time, I did not really lost anything (one could only argue I could have mined 0.25 XMR or something like that, that's 50 bucks, I'll live with that). I won't loose anything by holding to it. Wish all the very best to the lead guy, hope he'll recover soon and come back, throwing those morons out and getting some ppl to the team who are both capable AND trustworthy.

it is amusing that a pool operator closing their pool was the one to notify the bitcoin talk thread. you are right on point mate.

Hmm, according to that screenshot we needed to be on Discord and put in our number of coins to figure out the distribution of the new coin... looks like I missed that memo, probably because I despise Discord and no one posted anything about it here until it was too late. I never had high hopes for EDL - reflected in that I mainly mined it with a single FX-8320 CPU (~340 H/s) - but I still managed to rack up >100k coins in the space of a few months. Ah well, when life hands you shitcoins, grab the TP...  Tongue

You can't swap your coins just yet - they are still trying to figure out all the details, so I'm guessing this is still weeks away.
