And I read one article saying it's coming mid-January. Which one is correct, if any?

I think they spit the block-chain on the 28th but it will take a few weeks to trade the coin because
new flags in wallets will need to be used and the commercials will need to be set up with the
exchanges so this is quite normal.

Down the road they want to include ETH type contracts which might help generate revenue for those
things that we call miners today (More colorful name from me) but to me it seems a bit of a fudge
but we will see.

B2X was at about $1000 so with BTC at $15,000 now you will get about $75.00 worth of free
coins as an happy new year present which just now is about enough to cover just two transactions
on the BTC network so you tell me who is robbing you

Mining is CPU-wars and Intel, AMD like it nearly as much as big oil likes miners wasting electricity. Is this what mankind has come too.

Yes it is back but the people behind it are different. And it's a different code (the earlier was 2MB blocks and didn't even have replay protection). This new fork seems to have different mining algorithm too.

Anyway, free money is always welcome. I'll dump them as soon as I can.

At the moment of fork all BTC holders will get B2X at the ratio 1BTC=1B2X. Smart Contracts. Anonymous. Security. Block Size Limit 4 MB.

That should be finally a good, long waited fork from November, finally it's here!
That's why bitcoin I guess is recovering and good chance to show the new highs!

Wot you mean like the CPU war created by BTC is not need or something and I hope it flops at first
just like Bitcoin Cash because it won't crash it and I get to make a little money.

Please, please remember to get your coins out from the likes of coinbase so that they are
on the block-chain and you get cut in on the deal to ensure your evil little plan works because
i would hate to see the likes of Coinbase holding on to them if the coins they have in the pool
are not fake like I suspect.

Happy new year my man

Looks like another batch of scammers have come along who have no grasp of the concept or importance of consensus.

The consensus is that miners have been ripping us off in transactions fees and slow to stop service speeds
so I am happy you grasp the concept and won't take it personal as we put our coats on and head in an
orderly fashion towards the doors

Now be a good chap and fetch me another beer will you now  Grin

I have seen this fork too in news around weeks ago and this isn't the first B2x that was about to happen last time. They surely realized that there's a big money in making hard forks so they made it as a habit, this isn't not that healthy for altcoins but this will make bitcoin have some another market cap.

And I read one article saying it's coming mid-January. Which one is correct, if any?

It's about to happen on December 28.

Information about it is so confusing at the moment. No straightforward answer, hard to decipher what's actually going to happen. Would Coinbase support it?

It looks to be back on ! Is this correct or just false news. I would have thought the cypto community would have known about this well before Christmas.

Guys, i think its just a joke. This is Huge news and would be everywhere if was true.

Read the warning here before you mistakenly take this fork at face value.

I wish it were a joke, but they're trying their best to get their "news" everywhere.  I've seen "sponsored" articles on several news sites, (NewsBTC, bitcoin.com, coinblip and others) which means they've paid money out of their own pockets to advertise this doppelganger and try to pass it off as the real SegWit2x, which was (and remains) cancelled.  If they're spending money on advertising it, that means they probably have a plan on how to recoup that investment.  I can't help but wonder if they're stealing coins from private keys that don't belong to them on this newly created chain, maybe they plan on using some of those funds for themselves.

Again, this is not the "real" SegWit2x.  It's a morally ambiguous clone with a misappropriated name.  Tread carefully.

Strong this^

Seems like a shady way to get started, initially staying away from this one but will dump soon after  Grin

Well, let's just see. I've been waiting for this one too. It was cancelled multiple times. I hope this one is the real one. Even coin base sent me an e mail about this a month ago. However, I didn't know what happened. I think it was delayed or something. Maybe this one will happen on december 28th.

Segwit ia back? I think we don't really need any forking anymore, in this month there are already so many forking until I am confused, I don't know what is the usage of the each forking coin, and this makes the Bitcoin popularity decreasing among the investors, but segwit is one of the most anticipate fork, hopefully this forking could bring something good for bitcoin

Ok. Fork again, another coin promising to become better than the original Bitcoin. How many forks did we had already? each of those fork has the same goal to become better than the original Bitcoin and  to solve the current problem of the original Bitcoin but what happened on the previous coins that was created after the fork?

ok, it seems as it is actually a attempt of fraud .

At the start it already was very suspicious  that there are no big news of Segwit2x and also there would have been a significant market reaction to this event.

THus i call this BS.
