it is unlikely that this ICO ends easily unless the SCAM of all ICOs will be long until it reaches 2020, some say that SCAM is merely a fraud or just a deliberate misunderstanding.

I hope the ICO craze will end soon.

I don't think cryptos should be mixed with startups/kickstarters. Cryptos should be trustless, transparent and decentralized, ICOs are none of those things so using a blockchain platform doesn't really offer any benefits to them, in fact just giving a bad name to cryptos.

But a lot of crypto-newbies gamble with them thinking they know what they're doing and that crypto is all about pumping and dumping random "projects". These people ignore, or not even aware what crypto stands for and just giving a bad name to it. And they will eventually get burned and hate cryptos altogether. Profits aren't made from nothing, it comes from other people's losses.

The fake and suspicious ICOs had done more harm to genuine coins as well. Even companies like Facebook and Gogole blocked crypto ads because of this only.

Yes, I think ICO is going to die. I'm always curious about a question. Is ICO really valuable?
ICO has no value other than liquidity.

But it's the only way the people behind the ICO can think to raise funds for their project. Besides, those people who have invested in ICO will be getting a profit out of it as long as the it's a potential ICO that may even be an elite crypto in the coming years.

I'm not a pessimist; I don't have that mentality of whether or not the coin will die. ICO is a very good way for investors to make it big. The only problem is the ability to discern the good projects from the bad ones. But, I'm sure ICO will not die anytime soon.

ICO is filled with too many scams. Inexperienced people are deceived by their dazzling propaganda. The ICOs that actually can actually develop in accordance with their roadmap are few, so I think that most ICOs are inevitable when they die. Only a few real ICO projects will survive. The survival of the fittest is the law of the market.

The ICO market is waiting for a shake-up and a change in the course of development aimed at quality. The number of projects will grow, but many of them will burn out. At the same time, more investment capital will appear on the market, directed to the most promising projects. This happened during the last financial crisis with venture capital. Many companies could not attract investment in projects, but companies that still managed to get financing did so with the highest estimate of the investment profile

ICO activity in 2018 will decrease but it may affect their quality. Many investors are still interested in good startups and therefore this sector will never die.

Disclaimer: The text below is a personal opinion of the author. If you have a different opinion, please share it

ICO causes more and more distrust - thanks to the scammers. At this point, companies that produce and sell tokens are more focused on the product. The product is being developed and improved. And all before the token sale.

The fact is: those companies that enter the token market with a readymade product are more trustworthy. Now, few people are interested in a company that launches ICO just to make a name and earn a lot of money.

ICO is a serious campaign. It requires great resources and professionalism.

There are many companies on this path. Recently, Pavel Durov announced the creation of a light wallet and the release of the Gram token on the Telegram platform. Here is another example - KickCity, a company that has existed for two years. KickCity is engaged in the development of the event industry and issues a KCY token for further expansion of the company.

What is more, you can get tokens for testing KickCity beta. You can get reward for testing this platform https://kickcity.io/event/5a9d11030cf2cac8e081f3e8

Haha  Smiley  A hidden way to advertise kickcity.io?

Anyway, I was attracted by the hot topic. "It requires great resources" > To which extent great? If you already have great resources, there's no need for fund raising.

of course I hope not! and I am very surprised by the messages above that it is time for the ICO to cease to exist. on the contrary, I see it as a potential for developing and establishing stronger market positions. I am sure that soon it will be possible to completely trust and use crypto.

ICOs will not die by 2018, but they are tougher managed by countries that accept ICO releases. Korea is currently issuing ICO rules for an organization. They will meet all the requirements needed to issue an ICO project.

On the contrary, the ICO is just starting a permanent job which is already 100% likely to give its positive results in the end

ICO will not die this year but it will be harder to raise money thanks to scammers who ruined the image of crypto business. Market will be more regulated and it will continue to live.

Those ICOs that will survive due to their great programs and cool teams will let people getting much profit. Yes, many scammers will have to leave the market - now these projects will be strictly controlled.

I think that people will understand that ICO is similar to any other investment and needs a careful and thorough study on the project they want to invest in.
Now most "ICO investors" are just gambling. It can be easily seen on the comments to some ICO threads that many of them even do not read WhitePaper and T&C sheet... but still invest...
