Long-term investment is the securest than short-term investment. There is less probability for losses in long-term investment obviously long-term investment can minimize or reduces losses so I think long-term investment is more effective than short term.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

In my oppinion,we should combine both long term and short term for using coin. its depend on your portfolio and the way for your investment.
for long term investment you have to wait maybe for a year to gain profit. while you can get profit everyday but more risk.

Right now I am holding good coins for long term hold. But of course it will depend on situations that will happen in the future. I may sell some of them or all of them or maybe even buy more.

Same. Because situation on the market now is no good for selling. Now is more better to buy

I prefer for the long term. the coin I bought for the long term is Bitcoin. because bitcoin I think is good for long-term investment
Well right now the best thing we can do is to keep our coins for long term because until now the market is not in good conditon, and there is no doubt that we can make many income if we will just hold for long term and wait for a big pump.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

For short term investing, I choose to invest on ICO projects, so the risk is about 60-70 percent. And with long term investing, I invest on ETH, Bitcoin and Cardano, so I think the risk is just about 20 percent. This is my estimation

I wager 50% of my portfolio for long-term investments, and the other 50% I trade in the short term. this time the market does tend to be quiet, but if I just rely on long-term investment, then I have no activity to enter the market, whereas I have to check the price every day to get more profit, from the Cryptocurrency coins I have today.

There is no better way of what you gonna choose the long term or the short term both is at risk, you had to be watchful at the market price, if it is down then hold then if it is rise exchange it thats what we call manage system of the price..

Both of the strategies work if you are a wise trader and have enough experience and skills. meanwhile, I prefer to deal with long-term trading for only one reason: I am a very busy person and have to pay attention to my main job as well.

Under current market conditions, long term investment will be more profitable than short term, especially if you don't have experience with daily trading or can't check your assets often.

Long term is for holders, and short term is for traders, they're different!  If you are not good at trade, you should HODL, it's a good and easy way to secure your funds and earn profit.  Just keep your head cold when price get low. Wink

Long-term investment helps you to have a more stable income, but it takes a lot of time... Short-term investment to help you make a quick income, but the risk is huge!
So depending on your ability and knowledge you have to choose the most appropriate form of investment for you to optimize the profits.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

Well, it all depends upon the price fluctuations, if it fluctuates positively or means it goes higher at a certain around I mean it goes higher right quickly as I get it maybe I would go for selling, otherwise, I won't and I would hold it depending for the tone of surroundings and the price range. I am not that person who just hold crypto for a time being, I hold crypto depending upon the price not for the time. Because if I would stick to time, and it still not that high to sell then definitely I won't have any profit at all.

I am more on investing for Long term since I do not have yet enough idea or knowledge for short investment. So I usually hold my coins for about at least one year. That is why I invest only to those I have a full trust or I am confident that it has potential.

Long term - Bitcoin and Ethereum. Both are perfect assets.
Short term - altcoins like Ripple, Cardano and IOTA that are good for trading and buying something.

I strongly agree with you, long-term and short-term holding can all be beneficial. It depends on the individual holding it and how strategically your games are being played.

I have tokens of projects that cost almost nothing, and Ethereum in the long run.  Don't invest in bitcoin because it has already made its flight to the moon

As for me I would like to go for the long-term investment, I do not have the luxury of time to examine the ups and downs of the market. And I also think that day trading is time-consuming and tiring. Currently will hold for long term. Some people willing to spend more time to get information and learn the day trading method, I think it is a matter of choice.

It depends on your style, long term investment gains are generally lower than those of short term, but you avoid all the stressful fluctuations of the coins, on the other hand short term allows you to gain more but with a little big of extra effort.

I think the best way is to combine both strategies - certain coins are worth to invest in the long run and certain are suitable for shorting. The most important thing is to choose the right assets. BTC and ETH are always good for long-term holding from my point of view.

Well investing into cryptocurrencies is something that i want to see generate income for me in the long term not in the short term but the funny thing is that things could change at any point in time due to its volatility nature. Because i have invested in some ICOs which have generated me income within few months whiles some investment are still declining in value but i have the hope that its price would rise again for me to get my income one day.
