it suggests tht price change have the same distribution and are independent of each other...so the past movement or trend of price or market can not be use to predict its future movement

you wont be able to break the trends as a small trader, so its better to understand how they are mapping the market, and to jump on and off when it is a good time to do so

The interesting thing is that institutions follow graphs, so they move markets with graphs, you should as a small trader,  (and by small i mean your tradinging thousands not millions)  you should follow the big fish
