We not only optimize and maximize your user experience, but also let you decide how you want to share! We would like to tell you some key upgrades in our sharing window and user panel. 

🔸 1) Additional modal design sharing window. Webmasters are able to choose to display the sharing window in modal effect in the button customization settings. A modal window is a javascript effect that displays on top of the current page. The main benefit of modal windows is that they avoid window pop-ups and additional page reloads. Seamless sharing in modal window brings all users perfect sharing experience!

🔸 2) Eye-catching interactive sharing animation and design. Every time you click on share, you will see an interactive animation modal window fade in and then slide down all the sharing choices for you. The top part of the modal window gives you a short description of the current page you are visiting, and you can see our Sharpay icon flipping with the token reward rolling under it. The S token reward is displayed in USD, and is synced with CoinMarketCap, that means you can always get the real time price calculated by CoinMarketCap. Now you are able to see what token rewards and how much you are going to get from sharing and from each visit!

We also added different toggle and hover effects. When you toggle different sharing options, they will show and hide with animation. When you hover over the text, it will be highlighted in our Sharpay orange color. The section body will be zoomed in when you hover over it, and zoomed out when you leave it.

Besides, we use the same animation and interface for our app.sharpay.io. We selected the best font and colors to use in our design. You may also see your token balance at the top is rolling with animation, the drop down menu is clean and clear. The overall interactive animation and the design are smart and attractive, which gives you a refreshing user interface!

🔸 3) Boundless sharing options. In the old sharing system, you could not choose what sharing methods you wanted and it was always decided by the websites. Before, we separated "Simple sharing" and "Multisharing". They were independent and connected to different social networks, and only the webmasters could decide how users share their website content.

In our new sharing window, we put all sharing methods together, and you are not restricted by the types of share buttons website installed. You are able to choose "Direct sharing with rewards", "Multisharing with rewards" or just copy the referral link for sharing with rewards. This gives you the freedom to share in your own way, and an opportunity to share website content to all your connected social networks!

🔸 4) User friendly and attractive user panel. The user panel has upgraded with new UI / UX design. The menu is on your left hand side, you can toggle and manage different sections. The homepage displays your account summary and bounty tasks. Everything has redesigned with distinctive colors and appearance. You can see that the information is displayed in details.

🔸 5) Neat smart card presentation. We dropped the old information framework and used smart card presentation especially for the bounty tasks and website projects. The smart card design gives you all clear information and action buttons. You can manage your website projects easily and tidily. Our system will also regularly display notifications, tips and new features for users in smart card format in user homepage and webmaster area.
 
🔸 6) Interactive and clear user guide. We have added user guides in different pages to explain different features and give instructions to users. You can find the "User Guide" button at the top of some pages like user dashboard and wallet. When you click on the "User Guide", it will pop up an interactive modal window to explain different features and sections.

We translated our system into 4 languages: English, Chinese, Korean and Russian. Unfortunately, the Korean translation is not good enough, because we do not have a good Korean translator. Dear Community!

Sharpay development update: fixed a XSS bug in project editor, added a feedback program for users, added and refined the help section for webmasters, improved the mobile version of our application, etc.

Recently we have upgraded our sharing window and user panel with the latest UX/UI design, we keep testing and improving our application to ensure it is running at peak performance. Here are some development tasks we have completed:

1) Fixed a XSS bug in project editor. Thanks to our bounty hunter NG, he discovered a Cross-site Scripting (XSS) bug in project editor that could let hackers execute malicious scripts in our application. Our Tech team review and fixed it immediately and reward him with S tokens for reporting this bug.

Thanks to this bounty hunter, our Tech team performed numerous deep scans of our application. We have found another critical bug and we fixed it.

2) Added a feedback program for users. We created a feedback program for users, and they are now able to send us their suggestions, feedback about our application through the Feedback form. The feedback program is created also for a continuous bounty program that we will tell you in a separate news soon.

3) Added and refined the help section for webmasters. We added and refined the help section for webmasters, especially for those who are new to our system. We added instructions for different button installation methods, project settings and project statistical reports.

4) Improved the mobile version of our application. Using our new interface design framework, we improved the mobile version of our application. There were some small design improvements we made, for example, refined the help cards presentation, fixed the mobile navigation and user guide animation, improved the notification design in mobile version.

5) Created transaction records for users. We have created transaction records to show the commission for withdrawal and the use of alternative tokens, users will be able to see the details for all transactions in the new interface.

6) Set up token info from CMC. We made a script to get the token logo, description and website link from CoinMarketCap and display them next to the token name.

7) Fixed an error about updating data from CMC. There was an error when our system tried to update data from CMC. We have updated the parameters and fixed the error.

Dear Webmasters!

New modal sharing window for the future sharing activated! All websites with Sharpay buttons are upgraded with the new modal sharing window.

As we have substantially changed the sharing window in the new Sharpay's UI / UX (dashboards and sharing windows), we paid a lot of attention to sharing window in modal style and its convenience. We noticed that after the release, many webmasters did not know that they could change the browser sharing window to modal sharing window for the convenience of users. We thought thoroughly and decided to make the automatic transition of all sites to use only modal sharing window.

Yesterday we made this mandatory update in our sharing system for all websites. We removed the option to choose between sharing window in browser window and modal window. Now you can see how modal sharing window looks by clicking on the Sharpay button installed on your website.

If you installed our share buttons in "Static" or "Floating" type, you will have a modal sharing window automatically. However, if you are using the "Direct" share button type, the sharing window will open in a new browser window, and lead you directly to the designated social media. Believe us, the modal sharing window is better and more stylish. We have designed it to fit any device.

Dear Our Security Followers!

We discovered and banned all botnet accounts in our system. Added reCaptcha to our registration system to prevent spamming.

In our scheduled system check, we noticed that some users added “Hict” to their names (e.g. KesarHict, AdelineHict). After checking those users, it turned out that there are more than 650 such accounts in our system. Every day, there are 20 to 30 new accounts with the same ending were created. All such accounts were registered via email. This was a problem for us.

We began to investigate why someone needed so many accounts in our system and how they were used. We checked the logs of those users and found out that after registration, there was no other activity happened. We discovered that all the account requests came from the same subnet of several IP addresses.

After deeply checking some of those IP addresses, we found out that they were also in the blacklists of spammers. It turned out to be a botnet that attacks target users’ email inboxes. By creating a large amount of accounts, the botnet caused a stream of system emails sent from us to the email addresses that were used for registration. It threatened our mailing service to go into spamming list mistakenly and our mailing service might be suspended by our service provider.

As a result, we:

✅ deactivated all botnet accounts in our Sharpay system
✅ added reCaptcha in our signup form
✅ and blocked all the IP addresses that were used for spamming.


We will continue to monitor unusual activities in our system and give our users the best service.

Sharpay.io officially launches new wallet functions. Now, in addition to withdrawal, users are able to deposit or buy S tokens!

We have updated our system of buying, depositing and withdrawing S tokens. They are all designed with our latest UX / UI framework. For right now, you are able to use these functions only with S tokens, we will release the full version soon with the possibility of using different tokens. Let us introduce each of the functions.

🔸 Buy S tokens
You can buy S tokens from our system reserve at CoinMarketCap rate at the time of the transaction being confirmed. We developed and launched this feature primarily for webmasters in accordance with our White Paper. In the near future, we will focus on the next phase, monetization program of our product and the opportunity for webmasters to increase token rewards for users for sharing.

Also, for all other users that do not yet have our S tokens, you can use ETH (Ethereum) to buyS tokens directly from us (we do not support USD or other fiat currencies at the moment). This is the simplest option for you to get our S tokens without having tedious process on crypto exchanges. To buy S token through us, please follow the below steps:

1. Go to “Wallet” page (https://app.sharpay.io/profile/wallet).
2. In the balance card, click “Buy”.
3. There is a calculator at the top you may use to calculate the token amount (at CoinMarketCap rate).

6. Enter the amount of S tokens you want to withdraw.
7. Click “Request” and we will send you a confirmation email.
8. Check your email inbox (and just in case the spam folder), confirm your withdrawal request by clicking the confirmation link in the email.
9. We will send you the requested withdrawal amount, please wait for the Ethereum network confirmation.

Dear Sharpay Supporters!

Sharpay development update: added email address verification, removed RenRen social network from direct sharing, fixed an error in merging Line accounts, fixed an error in updating system version, etc.

Even though we released different new functions not so long ago, we do not stop developing and improving our system. There are some changes and improvements we made.

1) Added email address verification. Now, every user needs to confirm his email address (by email or social network) after registration. If he has not confirmed his email address, he will get a message when he logs into Sharpay and he will not be able to use his account. We added the email address verification to prevent botnet and fake accounts.

In creating the email verification, we considered three different proposals and we finally picked the following. If a user registers an account by email, our system will display a message with a request to confirm his email address. System will show a link for resending confirmation email once a day. When the user logs in through his social network which uses the same email address, our system will confirm the email address automatically.

2) Removed Chinese social network RenRen from direct sharing. The popularity of RenRen has dropped significantly over the past few years, also it did not give much technical support to our Sharpay development. We have therefore deactivated and removed RenRen social network from our sharing buttons, and focus on WeChat and Weibo in the China market.

3) Fixed an error in merging Line accounts. If a user used Line to log into his account and that Line account was already connected to other Sharpay account, an error would occur and he could not log into his Sharpay account. We found the error and fixed the account merging function.

4) Fixed an error in updating system version. There was an error when updating our system version, the software failed to complete the update and remained in the update status. We had to urgently deploy a duplicate instance to restore the normal operation of our system.

5) Fixed User Guide for small screen sizes. After we released the new User Guide feature, we discovered that it would not display correctly in small screen sizes. The animation and description would slightly shift. We fixed the spacing and style values for all screen sizes.

6) Disabled the request of number of friends on Facebook. Due to the removal of Facebook access to users’ friends, we have disabled the request of getting such data when users authorize and connect their Facebook accounts to Sharpay.

7) Created internal notification of incoming transactions. We created internal notification in our Admin panel for incoming transactions. The transactions are buying, depositing, withdrawing transactions.
