Hi there,

May I ask what I need to do to enable the bbcode for embedding images?

I can see that some users successfully do this in the forum but for whatever reason it's a no-go for me.

Here's an example:

which is written as:

Code:

Thanks!

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Take some time and read the "stickie" posts at the top of each thread section. At the
Newbie level, users are not privileged to post images. You'll have to put some time in
to raise your level and privileges. After that, you can add different things at different
levels. Goodluck!!!

Soooo frustrating!!!     But thank you.

It seems there are so many normally unnecessary rules on here meant to compensate for security issues on outdated forum software.   Been here since 2013 but again...security issues...I am stuck with a newbie account.

Anyway ...at least I know...I feared as much.

Thanks again

Just for reference if anyone else googles this, here was the image change announcement:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1172918.0

And the sticky post explaining the member statuses.   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0

Some relief for me...if I understand the calculation right I'm just 9 posts away (after this) from not being a "newbie" anymore, so maybe not as big of a deal as I first thought lol
