No. Bitcoin wont fall. Even there are lots of people or even the government is against it, it will never fall. Its price sometimes drop because of different reasons, but on the succeeding years it will still continue to rise. More will be more interested on it, more will invest, and more will use it. Indeed! Just remember when bitcoin valued around $750 on June 2016 and after a year its value was $3200+, it’s really booming high. Even some price fell due to some crackdown but it came back strong. So, for me, bitcoin will not fall in 2018.

It is a mere FUD for all I care. Bitcoin still has a long way before it slows down to allow other coins overtake it. It may have issues of delayed transactions and all that but it isn't going to lose steam easily. And who is going to compare ripples with bitcoin? With its billion supply, ripples has a long way to go before hitting the $10 price level let alone $100, or $1k.
