I too know the some cheap altcoins can be mined with the CPU alone but can you tell me is that still profit to make money in mining the cryptos with the CPU. I suggest you to start mining with the GPU rig. You can mine almost all the cryptos with the GPU cards so you can make money also with the decent growth. You can choose XMR, ETH, ETC, SIA and equihash to mine with the Rx series and Nvidia model cards bro. I am sure you can more than 500 USD with the any of the series cards.

Thank you for this thread. I plan to mine CPU coins as well in conjunction with my PoS and Masternode.
Anyone who has experience in using a Mini-PC? I plan to get one and Run Windows 2012 server 64-bit. Then install multiple windows VM's in it (3-6 VM's).
Planned setup: CPU: INTEL® NUC KIT NUC7i7BNHX1 With Intel® Optane™ Memory 16GB SSD: SanDisk SDSSDA-480G 480GB SSD PLUS RAM: Kingston Technology HyperX Impact 32GB
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have no experience mining on an Intel NUC, the CPU is basically a low powered CPU made for laptops but in a better vent mini PC so you should be able to get a couple 100H/s with it. I think you will be better off going Balls Out on the CPU has a whole though rather then breaking it up into 3-6 VMs.

Small form factor is consideration for me due to space and noise. I'll come up with specs for a desktop and post it here.

XMRig is your best choice.
For some reason xmrig is the only miner that my windows defender dislikes, but I guess it is indeed false alarm. Will try later and compare with xmr-stak I too know the some cheap altcoins can be mined with the CPU alone but can you tell me is that still profit to make money in mining the cryptos with the CPU. It IS still profitable, although it's a different story if you use low-end CPU like Celeron or Pentiums. And of course, I do have GPU rigs.

Be carrefull : The dev "Bitzeny" has only 2 posts in the forum (and one for ANN topic). TooO big pump in the lasts few days : dump is coming.

Bitcoin + privacy respect = BitcoinZ ( topic BitcoinZ) The only decentralized crypto that complements Bitcoin on privacy. You missed Bitcoin in 2009 ? Do not miss BitcoinZ in 2018 !

I wouldn't feel comfortable minijng on them 24/7.

Thanks for sharing! This type of feedback helps a lot for me to decide on my setup. I guess I have to settle for a good sized desktop now or just run PoS as space is consideration for me.

Plenty of reports, many thanks.
But none of you tell us the mining software to use ... can a kind soul post some links for the best mining software for the algorithms specified in this thread?

surprised Riecoin is no where on the list, it's quite profitable at the moment as prices have risen to nearly 50 cents recently. Riecoin is one of the oldest CPU coins out there, it's using the primesr hashing algorithm which is designed to find large prime number constellations. ANN thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=446703.0Exchanges Poloniex AEX.com Fastest miner (open source) https://github.com/dave-andersen/fastrie/tree/stratumA test machine i've run over the last month is an older i7 laptop Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4710HQ It's generated about 160 RIC or about $66 at current prices. Ryzen and any high end Xeon CPU will generate many times that number. Some pools have issues with block withholding attacks, best pools in my opinion are https://ublock.it/ and http://www.xpoolx.com/. uBlock is a private pool, if you need an invite pm me for more information.

Hey guys I'm looking to put together a resource thread showcasing 1 all CPU mineable coins // best CPU mineable coins and some guides on how to get started on them whether they're write-ups or videos etc. For example all cryptonight coins (estimated w/ ryzen 1700 oc) https://i.imgur.com/2cNHEtnl.pngBiblepay is a CPU only mineable coin which I found interested. Looking for all input! I don't even see any working pool for this coin. Can you really mine it solo and make a profit? Edit: the only pool I found is mentioned in the guide and nothing, no links even work at the site. Just a shell facade site. So seems strange.... Here is the pool for BiblePay, and is working, mining every day on it: https://pool.biblepay.org/You mine directly from wallet, you can download it here: https://biblepay.org/BUT atm there is no exchange where you can sell your coins or trade them.
