Dont know wether  you are reacting on the Biblepay post (you didnot quote or refer to any posting)
However,  I have been mining Biblepay (rig = Ryzen 1700) , for me it was by far the most profitable crypto during the month of january,
And it is only minable by CPU, no GPU or Asic.

No luck for the last days with Biblepay however, could be because of a botnet or so.
(Presently for me the Cryptonotes Turtlecoin, Dero and Intensecoin are most profitable, but it can not be compared with earnings of Biblepay during january)
However there are plans to adjust the algo for Biblepay, and i trust it will be re-adjusted.
You may consider  the charity aid and the cure for cancer just as a bonus!
And it is certainly not a scam coin, with unique algo and very active lead dev and committed community.

So the mentionning of Biblepay definitely belongs in this thread.

Hey guys I'm looking to put together a resource thread showcasing 1 all CPU mineable coins // best CPU mineable coins and some guides on how to get started on them whether they're write-ups or videos etc.

For example all cryptonight coins (estimated w/ ryzen 1700 oc)
https://i.imgur.com/2cNHEtnl.png

Biblepay is a CPU only mineable coin which I found interested.

Looking for all input!

Thanks Man very much appreciated

It was very profitable for a while. But there is a pool scam and only 1 pool (official pool). 3-5 selected persons get profit and they're talking about BOTNET. Of course the price goes down. Normal mining - it's almost impossible now.
First it was the "pool hack". Now they have phantom "hash power" in the pool (it's not a BOTNET). I believe there are no "top miners" and top hps numbers are just a scam going directly in devs pockets. HPS2 and Shares were never explained to the public. A lot of people are banned in their forum thread, which left a lot of question not answered.

confirm, what you mention it's all sign of "SCAM" coins - good project(am not about Biblepay only) not lie to his member, not ban members and pay if ppl mining his coin.....

Since the ease of mining and profitability change so often, has anyone established a website or blog of "what's good today"?

CPU Mining was how I accidentally got my start in crypto. I heard about Bitcoin mining from a guy on a fishing trip and when I got home I downloaded a Bytecoin wallet that had built in mining.

Well about a week later I had a couple hundred Bytecoins. Then I became excited until I realized that I was mining the wrong coin.

But that got me interested and off I went, Antminer S3 then another and another. Then S5, S7 and now I have L3+ miners abd A3s. It's a full on addiction.

Funny side note, I still had those Bytecoins last year when they exploded and I traded them for a couple Litecoins. Maybe they will pay off in the end.  Tongue

I've got some i5-4xxxM laying around (laptops) and I would love to put them so some use. However as most of them require disassembling and changing the drive, I would like to first see some hashrates. You know, before wasting my time Smiley I've searched the web but am not satisfied with the results. Do you have any reliable sources as for the i5 series hasrates?

Hi guys,

I'm getting rid of my old computer & planing to get a new one. I want to get a powerful CPU that I can mine with while I'm not using my computer (which is most of the time)

On my current setup,  i have a 1080ti on it mining on nicehash, so I'm leaving the computer on 24/7 but the CPU is just sitting there doing nothing (Dual Xeon X5472), I try to mine with nicehash but there's no supported algorithm for it. So I had to resort to MinerGate mining XMR.

Can anyone help me choose a CPU to mine XMR or any more profitable coins out there ? Putting aside budget, what would be the best ?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I tried XMR-Stak-CPU miner with i5-7200u and the result was .... 31h/s  Roll Eyes
Should one use some very specific settings or something? i7-7xxx are supposed to get around 700h/s so there is a chasm between those two results  Undecided

I'm a new miner. I have a 4g ram computer, 2g GPU. Should I dig with the CPU or GPU?
Thank you!
