This topic has been my favourite for the last few weeks.Mining with dual XEON 2580v2 CPUs.8 computers totally->16CPUs.1 computer (2*CPU) gives around 800-950H/s.

Have seen some good results with:
ROI Coin
Cryply

All of this coins are very bad for mining. Only spam and scam. Profit very small

I would appreaciate that information also. What coins you suggest to mine with XEONs?

Ive mined cryply and am mining wavi, its unknown how they will do but its worth a shot IMO. just set a goal of how muchto mine. Mine it hodl and switch and hodl if it fail well you tried if it goes to the moon though then i was worth it. ive seen cpu mining right now is a risk but has profit if u wade through the established shitcoins. once we see cryptonight coins fork to be asic resistant we should see some profits at least temporally. try not to over do it on a unknown new coin because id hate someone to lose a cpu on a shit coin. I use thread ripper and i just dedicated half my cpu load to it by cpu affinity, rest of my cores go to gpu mining and standard media, movies and such same with cpu affinity.

Might as well throw all cryptonight coins out the window. I'm certain even if they're asic resistant that they are not worth mining because of the ability to mine on GPU. Although it may not be effected by each other's hashrate, I've noticed it is still not as good as other algorithms. Also, there will be ASICs for them again soon. Every coin is hit hard because Bitcoin is in a bear market so there's that too.

Start another thread repository. This is great info. Another helpful stat would be how noob/norm/user-friendly the cpu miner is to get going on like, a 1-5 scale. 0xBitcoin is a solid addition. Bitcoin on a PoW, ERC20 chassis.

Hi Guys,

Interesting thread, can i ask a question though.

What brings you to mining? What are you hoping to achieve?

In my case it is mostly to make servers cores "busy" with at least minimal profitability while not used in other job.
Example...if FEA job optimal setting is 64 cores and it takes all of ram (1024Gb), then I have other 64 cores idling as I can not use them in FEA due to lack of memory... Therefor I use them for mining, to cover at leas 0.01$ of electricity with them.

What is your story?

Smart! I have completely idling server at work, and luckily don't have to pay electircity, so I made it my CPU mining rig. For now I'm accumulating mined coins (mining Credits to get my masternode) and betting for future raise in value.

Not sure there is 1 best coin. So many variables...
If you read back a bit, quite a few coins have been mentioned. I know it's not the answer you were looking for but you're going to have to pick a few and figure it out for yourself.

I have in my Data Centar Dell R730 with similar CPU and wondering how much I would be able to get.

Hi, I am from India working in networking Job,  here in India  where electricity cost is the big problem and also cant buy many expensive GPUs, ASIC is very very costly for me.

I had 2 free old PC at home and 1 computer in office. somebody advised me to mine ROI-coin and its becoming profitable as prices are going up and community is growing. Today I joined their discord community and the development and community is sharing many knowledgeable things which I never knew.
https://discord.gg/PKxgk5A

now I am getting 29 ROI coins daily, 560 sat of each ROI coin. And then you can put the ROI coin for term deposit  600%. Their project is very interesting and worth mining.

Price is ahowing trend in rising, but it is a bit too soon to say for sure.
And yeh 600% term deposit.... this is another reason I decided to give it a go

How does this deposit work? Can you give some more info or links? Sounds a bit like HYIP, but would like to read explanaition for this.

Smart! I have completely idling server at work, and luckily don't have to pay electircity, so I made it my CPU mining rig. For now I'm accumulating mined coins (mining Credits to get my masternode) and betting for future raise in value.

Reason i was asking is quite simple...
I am completely split by threads like this,
Part of me, loves the info, finding new coins, new charts, etc, BUT the other part of me dies...cos everytime i see these threads, every single coin listed gets hashed to death.

Personally i love deep searching the web to find coins literally no-one is mining and to find a wallet, download the full blockchain and solo mine it, very very steadily, usually only a few hours a week.....then one day, hopefully it will be worth a few quid. (sometimes takes 1-2 years to become valuable).

One classic example was "GNB"...dev made ANN, deleted ANN, made new Ann, messed around a while, ans i just happened to come across it...it was a Scrypt coin, so you know, zillions of GigaHash...but no, no one was mining it, well 4 connections i think...so i mined with gpu (750ti @ 100 kh/s) for 6-8 hours, and made 20,000 coin....i sold 14,000 for 1 sat a week later, and and gave away 1000 coins. Several weeks later, i saw on here 1 post....saying "WOW GNB @ 15000 sats"....by the time i had got my coins to exchange it had risen to 18000 sats...sold the lot, 5000 in 1 hit... so i guess thats what does it for me..."discovery and hope"....and a lot of good luck....i don't get the "melting ure cards for $1/day  or $0.1/day after power- well least not here in the UK"

So, if there are any like minded souls out there, who mine a few "dodgy" coins, a few hours a week, with 1 gpu, and hodl....well perhaps we should get in touch, and mine together descretly.
