how does the future of altcoin you hold? if you don't have a future, sell immediately and move on to Bitcoin. but if you hold Ethereum, LTC, ADA, NEO, I think you should keep it. sell when you only need funds to be withdraw. because it will give you a big profit.

I think that you do not need to completely sell all altcoins. If you are holding some altcoins does not have a potential to pump their prices even in the long time of holding i guess you must sell them it is wasting your time and you never getting any profit from those altcoins. So your investment risk will be lower.  You will get a profit even if bitcoin starts to fall. it would still rise beyond 20k maybe not in 2018

If you already have some altcoin why you sell it, and if your coins have a good market potential, you better keep it, but if you are unsure about altcoin you are selling the last option, and hold it in bitcoin until the end of this year
