P2pool is useless, an eloipool setup is for the pro's and that's what will be released with the coin

why you say so?
is centralized pool better for everyone? even very far away(geographically)?
simply i do not agree.

or explain why eloipool is cosidered by you as "Pro" pool after you made so many p2pool mods.
i am pool operator and i am really interested.

i think for such a special coin the p2pool modification would be and hell so therefore you go eloi :-) and thats a "Pro" apporoach :-D no i am joking...

5000 kHash = 5MHash, so if minerapia above is correct it shouldn't take too long, or am i missing something?

A p2pool at this stage is only really for scrypt coins. P2pool doesn't really work well with ASICs such as avalons arm. Eloipool although centralised slightly is highly efficient. Once my pools up I'll be offering eloipool setups with a frontend for 2btc to reduce centralisation and to recover the costs of getting eloipool modified. I have no problem with a p2pool as I've set many up but its only useful for GPUs or CPUs

Starting diff. Average coin of say .00015 starting diff takes me about 5-20 minutes. Starting diff is like 10000 times this

its sha256, not scrypt.
sha256 diff 50 is equivalent to scrypt diff 0.000762939453125

incorrect. starting diff is set at 20 by default. its exponentional. for example, starting diff of 30 = 0.25

Try p2pool 13.3 for ASICs. The BTC p2pool quickly increased over 4x last I checked (2-3 weeks ago) after they added ASIC support.

Oh, I guess I should have make my research better, the 65536 (2^16) multiplier is just a cgminer notation.

Is the genesis still hashing ? Smiley

Hi , thx for answer.
As clarified bellow the 13.3 p2pool is already also for ASICs, and still good for CPU and GPU.
Its nice that you offer support but you are just one human - anything could happen so thats not ideal sollution for decentralization.
On p2pool i like the fact that the whole pool is having really big power.
The second thing is No need for registration and payment - no need to pay fee for getting my Coins. I mean all other pools have standard fee and then another fee when i want to get my Coins and that is something i do not like a lot - hiden fees make me bank-sick.
Also if the Coin OP's would deliver p2pool source code from launch then the coin would have faster gaining of supporters due to the decentralization.
I understand the Pros of the Eloi pool but i see the p2pool sollution as the best for decentralized currency due to its natural decentralization. Imagine that the biggest centralized pool for some currency will go down/offline or will be not reachable from your location, then you are out of the game just because you live where yuo live - but with p2pool you can create local instance and participate.

i hope that in future the Profesional Coin OP's will understand that a good Coin is launched with working pool - and yes i would like to have the p2pool source for that but i will not push the people towards p2pool because i am also still learning and its nice to receive some answers.

For me - mining on pool located in US or anywhere out of Europe is time wasting due to higher DOA rate. Making one small instance of Eloi pool will not make it - the instance will have small power in compare with the rest and thus will be pointless.

haha, thats awesome.

when will it be launched?

tomorrow Smiley unfortunately increasing the starting difficulty didn't do much to stop asic instamine, so retarget's have been extended to a two week period. it merkled today finally. slight flaw in the math of the block rewards. fix it tomorrow morning and release tomorrow evening. shakezula has me under careful scrutiny so i shouldn't be able to fuck it up this time like i did with NAN. hows that for a vote of confidence lol. see you all tomorrow.
