Many other source of money can become an addiction. For example gambling or stock day trading are often associated with addiction. Trading crypto is not much different from those two activities. Usually the rush and the confidence that you get from lucrative trading is what will be the cause of addiction.

The adrenaline, the quick movements, the large increase and decreases within minutes make crypto a gamblers paradise.

It's easy to trade, extremely hard to lock your coins in cold storage and go do something else.

I think trading can become an addiction, crypto is especially addictive due to it's volatile nature.

Even if it is an addiction, it is one of the best addictions I have ever heard about. It gives a lot of belief into your own abilities and brings very good profit!
You still have to control that addiction as it might not bring positive results in the long run.
Spending time is very important but we need to put in mind that time management is the most important since it's not only trading
that matters in our life, we also need to spend time without our family and spend our profit in things that would make us more inspired.

Do you ever feel like you're overly obsessed with cryptocurrencies or trading/investing in general?
Personally, I'm fairly satisfied with my investments/decisions so far but yet I'm looking for market opportunities most of the time. I think that's mainly because of the fact that majority of my time browsing the internet I watch related content. I'm passionate quite passionate about it.

Over time it kinda makes me feel depressed that I don't make as much as I possibly could or others have better scores (some unhealthy jealousy I guess?), so this "paper-chasing" has become a target itself.

When I want to take a break from all this stuff for let's say a month or week at least then I'm not able to because I'm afraid that I will miss out on something.
On the one hand, I have made investments in projects I believe in so I could leave it for few months even and then back but at the other hand, I'm still not quite sure about my diversification so I keep watching the market.

Can anyone relate?
You are not addicted you are just doing what any rational person should be doing, I do not have as much free time as I had before, with my job and crypto absorbing most of my time however it is easy to know why, I think cryptocurrencies are one in a lifetime opportunity and if I do not take advantage of it it is likely I will never have the chance to improve my life as much so as you can see I'm dedicating to it the biggest effort and time I can.

Several users even speculated that they might be addicted to Bitcoin in a recent online discussion on Reddit. Then the satisfaction of earning money in BTC can make an addiction. In the community might take some small comfort in knowing that the Reddit “addicts” have already come up with a mitigation plan.

I think it is more than the money because for campaigns the money is pretty small and if you are a successful millionaire trader you don't want to stop. So I ask myself if not the money, what keeps people coming back? And I think it is rooted in a combination between gambling and ego. Maybe we want to prove to ourselves we are the best trader there ever was, or that if I made a mistake once I won't make that same mistake again. I know for me, it isn't about the money it is something else. Having troubles pinpointing exactly what that something is  Undecided.

Trading is consuming time, and it can lead to some type of addiction easily, just like gambling. Thats why we have to manage properly our free time, and focus with the trades that can give us good potential profit. Also experience is very useful in trading world, so even if you spend long time, but you get good experience in the same time.

For me daytrading is killing... Just nog good for the brain  Tongue I have decided to make investments instead, so I can focus on other things and my mind is not so flooded by the crypto world.

Also when you have bought good positions, it's a lot easier to just hold for some time, knowing you have a nice entry Cheesy

Investing your money into any of the crypto coin especially when it comes to that of coins like that of bitcoin and ETH is indeed an addiction and that all of the investors will keep on investing more and more of their money into it as this is the best thing to do for the sake of making some very good amount of money and that it will surely make you rich one day. You just need to stay relax and deal with the things in the best possible manner.

I do not find it addictive, I do not know if it is normal but I personally do not feel addicted. I do not do trading nor investing. I earn money through participating bounty campaigns specifically signature campaigns. I earn a fairly good amount and I am actually satisfied on what I earn. I have saved enough money for my college. I actually get addicted on things that I enjoy doing like playing online and offline video games. I find doing crypto works as a responsibility rather than enjoyment. I guess I just have not enough experience or I do not give enough time one crypto.Well we are all different maybe there are people who are like me.

Yes I feel the same way, OP. Fact is that I've actually earned a lot of bitcoins last month problem is, I lost the profits and a huge portion of by initial investment. Now I feel really frustrated and that I feel obsessed in getting back the losses I had. Problem is, every move I make I am at the losing end, I can't seem to get profits now. Not sure how the hell I lost so much money, but things got really crazy in crypto lately and the risk was really high.
I think almost people who use bitcoin ,both have the same thought with each other. Not except me, as far as we know that cryptocurrency market brings to us lots of risks, but I also give us a  big benefits. I think the most reason why most of us have a passionate in this job is getting chance for obtaining benefits. Therefore many people take greatly focus on earning profits to complement for what they’ve lost. All you and me need to do is keeping our head and try to get what we’ve lost.

Actually lot of people getting addicted to the crypto currency trading because they can earn lot of money with easy effort but the thought is wrong you can't always earn money here since the profit of one trader is loss of another trader so you also may fail to win trades. So you need to keep crypto trading as your part time job and never rely crypto earning as your primary source of income.

I'm glad I am not yet on that level of being hooked to bitcoin. I am not yet addicted to bitcoin but I'm somehow spending more hours now than I usually do. When I was still starting to engage in bitcoin, I spend an hour or two 3-4 times a week, but now I usually spend 3-4 hours everyday. I am not an investor but I'm doing bounty campaigns right now. I still haven't received my stakes yet but if I'll ever receive my tokens/coins, I'll try to invest in good investment or do trading, from there I think i'll start getting addicted to bitcoin too just like most of the users here.

You are not the only one in this condition. Sometimes I try to abstain from crypto-related issues for a while but I realized that it is very difficult to do because of the fear I might miss out on something new. It is becoming an addiction however I think that giving oneself a break is a very good idea. The sole reason for this is because I participate a lot in signature campaigns and I can't afford to miss out on a weekly earning.

I feel that one can only be addicted to cryptocurrency, investment or trading if they are only making huge profit from it, if you are really not making much, I don't think there will be a need for someone who is losing to keep on involving in it. Moreover, in everything one need to be conscious to not getting too involved in things. An addiction to cryptocurrency generally, can cause huge negatives emotions on the person because of the instability in it.

That is not being addicted that is just enjoying what you do, this is why many times you are your passion your job does not seem like a job, and you can dedicate a great deal of your effort to it, so you are enjoying your profits and you are enjoying your method in order to get it like investing, trading or working for itso congratulations you are in much better shape than those that hate their jobs.

I had the same feeling during my first encounter with crypto. I wanted to know more and was hungry for more information I practically stayed up late because of searching and reading up. When I found out that my friend was earning tremendously though crypto, I got much more adrenaline. I felt like was left out and I needed to catch up. I wouldn't call it an addiction but rather a spark of interest which lasted a little long. I badly wanted to catch up on investments and get started on trading so I went in a rush on getting to know more about crypto.
