As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.
Holding is the best thing you can do if you are aiming for a higher profit but you should be aware of the risk and possibilities it may bring to you if ever the events does not go as you planned. Holding can also be a bad thing if done for so long that's why you should be mindful on the price so that you may know when will you stop holding to avoid any disappointments and regret.

Of course you need to keep holding your bitcoin if you still want to profit from it.

Hold your bitcoin. Because surely there will be an increase in a few more months. So be patient. Right now our patience is being tested, it's a bit heavy. But try to keep from selling now. Because there will be an increase in the future I think.

Do not forget that the complexity of mining bitcoin is growing! That is, soon bitcoin mining will fall-inflation will decrease, and the price will begin to rise. But it is a long process - 2-3 years.

Bitcoin withholding is the safest method to invest, as your money just lies there, rising in price. The main thing - to choose a reliable wallet for storage, then you can not worry about your money.

In all cases are risky, but for me the safer is to hold your bitcoin, and wait until the value will rise the its time to sell it. But nobody know what will happen tomorrow, bitcoin may drop down or end, but hopefully not. So must have any plan B incase this will happen,or, like for now divide your btc, hold and the other is invest it if it can,for your own bussiness to have safe and stable income. Just my opinion.

If holding worked in many big investors like Warren Buffet then it will also work for those who hold their bitcoin for long term. Making a big profit from long term investing is already proven by many known bitcoin investors like the Winklevoss twins. Holding is less risky than trading but you have wait for the bitcoin price to go up before you gain profit. If you encounter a massive correction in the days ahead, just continue holding and avoid panic-selling because bitcoin will surely recover again.

Yes, all investments are definitely risky. Holding will also be risky because bitcoin's market value is not stable it may fall down or rise up. You don't have any idea if your investment will be profitable or not. You are not sure if you are going to earn income or you just lost it. Don't invest more than what you can afford to lose, but if you can, you should buy more.

For me holding some bitcoin and altcoins it is not risky because all you have to do is wait the right prices to high before you sell it, there is a risky when you buy some coins and probably their is not a potential to go up their prices that could be risky all the time.

Investing in bitcoin is a risk, as the value can crash tomorrow.
I'm holding too so far, I believe in what bitcoin represents, so I'm taking the risk. Don't invest more than what you can afford to lose however, but if you can, you should buy more.
Also have a look in other cryptocurrencies.
Investing on bitcoin is one thing we could deal with once we have bitcoin or a good  number of bitcoin. Yet, it always have a risk where in reality all types of investments surely does have a risk in a factor gaining profit. So it would need our full support for us to have or to earn bitcoin and to gain profit out of our transactions, investments and tradings.

If you don`t think to sell at any point in the future what is the reason you keep btc. I guess everyone should have a target or a strategy and act according to their path.

Holding is not a risk especially when it involves BTC. and when the investment plan in place is long term. one stands to gain a lot in future especially when the price hikes to higher levels.

There's a time to sell and there's a time to hodl and now is the time to hodl Bitcoin. Selling should only be done at peak prices not when the price has declined so much. On my own, I just hodl bitcoin or I use it to buy altcoins on exchanges.

In this cryptoworld no one can be sure about anything.
In both whether you hold or you sale right now there is risk.
If sale right now you will be in loss, If you hold you may get fancy profit or versa. Make wise decision and try your luck.

if you still have BTC, you'd better hold it
there is still a possibility BTC will touch 25k USD by the end of this year
now your job is to take your family to the beach and have fun, while waiting for the end of the year

I dont think if holding could be risky in anyway. long term investment ideologies are based on Holding, further more with constant market instabilities, it would be wiser to hold just a Little longer and see what happens

lol, seriously? How can we have fun and go to the beach if we dont have an income yet? we are currently holding and not selling because the current rate of bitcoin is still verry low these days. but overall buying and hodling bitcoin is still recomended and there is no big risk on it because you may still recover your invested capital if ever the price will drop consecutively. on the other hand, trading and gambling is more risky because you  cant posibly recover your money of you've done a single wrong move.
