You could complain about close source, but let's look at it from a different perspective.
Many Wall Streeters are laughing about open source ICOs. If your business and product is open source software, what value does your project have, they wonder? Anyone can clone it and take your user base.
With that reasoning open source is especially a big risk for ArcBlock because as far as I know there are few programmers on the team. Anyone with a lot of money could copy the idea and code, and put a rockstar coding team on it, for example Facebook.
That's one argument for closed source, protecting intellectual property. Of course it could also be an excuse for not having a lot to show. Being open source hasn't hurt Ethereum really, there is Ethereum Classic but it doesn't have the same level of programmers as the original.
I agree with you if this coin really does deliver what it promises to do (blockchain 3.0) it's worth the risk to not having it open source imho. But i also know that trust isn't earned easily in the crypto community so i am kind of torn. The positive (no copy paste coins stealing their maybe world changing idea) outweighs the imho (small) risk of malicious intent. ARCBLOCK is not afraid of open source, afraid of being plagiarized? The big joke, it is estimated that the amount of gold in the code is not so good, once the open source estimate is not the present heat.

Arcblock joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, the world’s largest open source blockchain initiative. Ethereum will be the first several chains supported by ArcBlock though our chain adapters https://twitter.com/ArcBlock_io/status/958870768951152645

I have seen many interviews of Arcblock's CEO. He answered a lot of questions about the products of Arcblock, the development plan of Arcblock, the price of the coin of the arcblock. In my opinion, I totally agree arblock's business model and I will hold Arcblock coin for more than one year, since I really think they know what they are doing.

What do you guys think about the cap of Arcblock? It is low but it is a fair game. The question is whether people can invest ETH and meanwhile invest the altcoin. I think the ICO is over after the investment of ETH. So our personal cap is just 3 ETH, no more. cannot wait.

That guy gave ETH/ETC example to justify closed source without knowing a shit about fork history lol lmao, with supporters and friends like this who needs enemies?

This thread is encouraging newbie account to join their bounty campaign. This is unacceptable to the forum as "SPAMS" encourage the farmers to continously SPAM bitcointalk with non-sense.
I don't know too whats the reason they accepted from newbie rank. Just stick with full member+ would be better to avoid spam posts. What do you guys think about the cap of Arcblock? It's not limited to 3 ETH, but 3 ETH + 7500 CMT for max individual cap.

Now many empty projects are hiding under the name of Blockchain 3.0. ArcBlock is the only exception. The project really can adequately carry the prefix "Blockchain 3.0". ArcBlock is a platform service, rather than a standalone software package or set of APIs.
Please tell me, what other projects are called the Blockchain 3.0?

88,999 KYC applications have been approved so far. For those who haven’t gotten approved, please note that we will close the refill function on Feb 1st, 2018, at 7pm CST. Take a moment to complete your KYC applications .
This is an incredible number.

This is one project with huge hype in the space, I know they have private sale do anyone have the numbers for the amount of Ethers they collected during their private sale, so as not to enter into gas war, project like this always sell out quick

ArcBlock public token sale is opening on Feb 3rd, 2018, @7pm CST. Only 3 days left! 88,999 KYC applications have been endorsed up until this point. For the individuals who haven't gotten affirmed, please take note of that ARCBLOCK close the refill work on Feb first, 2018, @7pm CST. Pause for a minute to finish your KYC applications guys Make sure to send your funds from your registered ERC20 wallet. Refunded tokens will be returned to the same address. Don’t send from exchanges. It may cause the failure of token contribution and the losing of your funds. Another thing to clarify: The cap for ETH and CMT (Cybermiles Token) are separated, so your total individual cap will be 3 ETH + 7500 CMT.

In means of personal cap I believe 3ETH + 7500 CMT (which is nearly 5500$) is a much fair cap when comparing to recently finished ICOs which had merely 0.5ETH personal cap. But the problem in these large personal caps in crowd sale is "GAS WAR". Whales who use extra amount of GWEI and Gas limits get in within 1st few minute leaving only a small amount of tokens to regular users. As a result ARCBLOCK has limited gas and gwei limits to make a fair token sale. But still it is first come first serve basis. So you need to be quick to get into token sale. I prefer if Arcblock team can change this to preserve a spot for whitelist members at least for first 24 hours.

ArcBlock this open chain looks good, but if the developer chooses the Arcblock platform, isn't it bound to the open chain?

When do you bring it to exchange, dev?
Tokens launch in exchanges in the second quarter of 2018. I think Cryptopia, Bitrex, Coinexchange and Binace are the best choices for a big project as ArcBlock. Expect that the price of ABT token will increase 10-50 times! It all depends on the interest of the community. Yeah these exchanges are high volume options and they will definitely help the course and development of Arcblock bit I think it is too early to talk of exchanges now. Your price expectations are very ambitious. I hope we can achieve it. With good development and community support, it is possible but may take time.

Will Arcblock have a special, own blockchain technology, or is it gonna be CMT based like ETH
Token allocation for ICO sales will use ethereum blockchain but I think in the future, Arc will have its own blockchain and coin swap should be done. Hmm I just checked this sheet. Good comoarison. Brief but detailed. Let's hope for the success of Arcblock.
