It's good for you as a  begginner,  you need to read a lot and watch video about crypto currency to enhance your knowledge especially here in our forum, and your right it's not too late if you are Newbie here in crypto word. You are not too late. No one is late. When I was a newbie like you 5.5 months ago. I have also think that I am too late to enter in crytomarket. However we were only late for the Train of Bitcoin.
Still there are many train to ride. Now I am investing, trading and do bounty hunting. You can do that too.

2018 will be the best year for ICO too, don't be afraid if you think you're late to join.

Now is the time to get in, in 2012-2013 it was a painful era to be in crypto and everyone thought you were a geek or a scammer. Now is the time to get in early before the market takes off....especially before the end of FEB when the market corrects back up. Buy now, do your homework, dont hesitate, and buy some tums. Resist the urge to sell when the market drops 30% and instead double down...it took several years for me to learn this, but other than investing in a bad ICO along the way, I havnt lost money in crypto, HODL through the bumps...it will get to new heights.

Oh and start mining (if you can find graphics cards - I think some 1050s can still be found)...nothing better than growing your portfolio no matter what the market is doing.

No it's not to late, it's even one of the right time to get in because the price is cheap at the moment. Crypto is still a new thing so the growth potential is still big. Investing is about long term so you should be patient and wait for your investment to grow.
