How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?
Most of the time, the price of a token goes down once it hits the exchange,if you are running an ICO ,you can put any valuation you want, but investors also must be impressed by their project,if not it wont work out well and most of the time the price goes down simply because the team might be selling off the coins for the start up procedures.

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?

Well, on my experience i tried to invest in a certain ICO but unfortunately i was a little bit late because the ICO is already over so i waited for that token to hit the exchange and when it hit already i bought and to my amazement the price is 25% lower than that of the ICO. But there is no bonus when you but at the exchange not like during ICO where they give up to 50% bonus on your purchase.

Soon I will be able to tell you if it was better buying my token now a fixed price or later when the trade is open.
It does not only depend on the ICO or on the token, but as well on the crypto price in general and with which ecurrency you buy.

It is impossible to predict. I tried all the options and everything is always different. Now I always participate in the ico if I like the project. If there are doubts, then I'm waiting for the listing, I wait a few days and then I buy.

Price can be very important especially when the ICO is very long.

I think that it is not os much about quality of ICO but more about proportions between sold tokens and tokens distributed in bounty campaign. (Of course quality of ICO is the most important - here I will try to explain one trick) It is good to wait to the last days of ICO, because we know how many tokens is sold. If it is little amount, and bounty was big, for sure when token hit the exchange, price will be dumped harder and you will buy it much more cheaper.

In most icos presale buyers gets big bonuses and they swap them instead when came to exchanges depends on on ico to ico with how good their projects and how good they managing the community these days getting whitelist has become like a war to some icos when situations like that only option is wait till exchanges or etherdelta some times can buy from their cheaper when fuds going around

Buying on the pre-sale stage looks like best move, but only if we strongly believe that project isn't scam. Also there some problems with ICO participation - you simply may be pervented for whitelist.

For me its a wise choice if you invest on ico as we can observe most of ico when they are on exchanges we can see above ico price but you must choose a good ico

This is if you afre sure about the team being true to themselves that they'd do what they promise to develop. ICO are perfect to invest because whenever the project is good and has the possibilities of making it on top ont the marketcap, its goinv to be a big ROI for you. if not however, you will have to keep waiting til the project is developed and price goes up.  Pretty risky for the usual dumpers.

And what if ICO is a scam or just can't reach hardcap and they decided to finish it off? That's the point, you never knows will ICO make it or not.

Depend on you. But if I were you, I would buy later on exchange because more than 75% than ICO will drop their price if they are listed on an exchange. Well, it is tough to hear that but sadly,, it is true. Try to read about their whitepaper and team, they may give you good information and decision

There is no hard rule when it comes to where are you going to purchase a certain coin. There are some cases that they have pre ico wherein they offer huge discounts and bonuses and that is great for you. Some held icos and more often than not, they give out bonuses to investors as well and last but not least, some are going straight into the exchanges instead of the previously mentioned methods of buying since when a coin hits an exchange, it usually goes down, sometimes lower than the ico price, in that sense, it would seem that you bought it at a discount. Any of these methods are advisable depending on your budget and timetable. Also, you have to consider your risk appetite in making your move.

If you really believe in the project and the market is not bear market, you definitely should buy in ICO. If the fundamentals are good it will soar by entering into the exchanges. However if the market is bear things may go opposite and it may be dumped once it entered in exchanges.
Nonetheles price will increase after bear market ends and it will increase eventually if the fundamentals are good
This is not always the case I have seen many projects that could be considered to be scams to get a lot of attention after the ico and some other projects that are good to drop in value after the ico, what we must learn to do is to not look everything through the price of coins, FUD is being spread saying that bitcoin is going to die and yet the technology behind bitcoin is still as solid as ever.

If there a strong assurance that the coin will have a promising future, then ICO is better. However, in a situation where many project developers are not serious, their intention is just to get money from people and run away.

For the beginners like me, I prefer to buy later when I can point those coins that are stable with high market value.

Finding a solid ICO has been very difficult in recent times. It may be easier to find projects that are underpriced. We invested in Tezos with great hope. Still not in the middle.

I think buying them in the ICO is the best option because once they listed in the exchange the price of the coin is increasing very fastly. So buying in the ICO, we are going to get some bonus for our purchases.

I think buying coins when ico is more profitable because you will get some bonus tokens.
while when the coin enter your exchanger will not get any bonus.

Correct. The bonus can be our profit when we sell it to exchanger.
Before talking about that, we talk about the risk. Each of decision involve with risk. If you buy in ico, you can get scam if the ico is scam but bigger profit waiting for you. But buy in excanger, we will not get scm but lower profit.

From what I have noticed, if you want to earn high from ico, join at presale. Most coins reach their presale price finding it difficult to reach the price at mainsale. If not, and there are bonuses, consider being part of the best bonus or wait fir exchange listing.

A lot of ICOs I've once listed tend to trend lower, shaking out the weak hands, the promoters, air-drop recipients.  Once the fundamentals sink in coins should base and appreciate.
