Looking for a secure place to store my bitcoins. What do you recommend? I found a few here, but looking for more feedback: http://cryptomarketmag.com/2018/01/07/best-bitcoin-wallets-2018/

Thanks!

I've been using coins.ph for a long time and I can say that it is convenient. Payments can be done here quickly so you won't have to stand on a long line just to make things done. You can also keep track bitcoin prices and probably to convert bitcoin into local currency.

You may need to research much on this because the best for you would be based on the features you would like to have your wallet provider offer.

I think when you have set up all this, you can start a software wallet for cold storage you - the most common it wallet electrum, because it has all the necessary tools for cold storage. but wallet whatever you choose, always make sure the verification downloadable you by examining the signature - there are many sites phishing, especially on Google, which has wallet evil steal coins. for the wallet software, everything is safe as machine where they used - and because there are many vulnerability in it, is usually a bad idea for save large amounts of money in computer online. some people think that it is enough to use only antivirus for safe, but they are wrong, the only good method to secure the coin you is to isolate your private key of the environment that is not safe. so, if you don't want to use the wallet hardware, then you need to get special machine to be changed to cold storage - machines with OS fresh and safe never touched the Internet and used to create wallet and sign the transaction offline.

Hardware wallet for sure are the best way to go. I like a lot also Exodus, but unfortunately it's not (yet) 100% open source so I wouldn't store too many coins there. It's a pity because it's a wonderful wallet.

Looking for the best bitcoin wallets?
MyEtherWallet.com is one of the finest though it's not much popular, I transfered few of my bitcoin earnings here and yeah,
When you create an account on MyEtherWallet you are generating a cryptographic set of numbers, your private key and your public key (address).

The easiest way to store your coins safely is the hardware wallet - your private key is not exposed to your computer so they can not be stolen by malware and other attacks. Some people think that storing is softened to use only antivirus to be safe, but they are wrong, the only good method to secure your coins is to isolate your private key from an unsafe environment.
keep or open your online wallet in one place that can not be opened by others and never once you say you have online wallet by others around us.

As mentioned in the list above the Ledger Nano S and the Trezor are the best ever wallets out there as they are hardware wallets.
Hardware wallets provide the best security for crypto currencies. You will also hear Electrum wallet from many people as the most convenient wallet to use. It is true as it is compatible with all the devices. Apart from all of these wallets, Mycelium wallet has been my most used wallet as it is convenient and efficient to use. It provides features such as custom fees, reboradcast transaction, cancel transaction etc... which not many of the wallets provide. It's seed can be backed up and used whenever we want.
How about metamask wallet? I notice that many people were using metamask wallet, is it safe and convenient to use this kind of wallet?  advance thank you for your answer.

we recommend you keep bigger measures of bitcoins in different kinds of wallets.

1. Bitcoin Block Explorer

Blockchain is the most well known (8 mil wallets) site everybody uses to perform and check bitcoin exchanges. They are frequently applauded for its usability, multi-nation support, and cross-stage capacity. Beside web wallet, Bitcoin Block Explorer - Blockchain is likewise accessible on work area and portable application.

2. BitGo

A regarded name in the Bitcoin world, BitGo is viewed as a pioneer in blockchain security. BitGo is awesome for people and organizations who lean toward close moment exchanges. Normally, a bitcoin exchange needs between 3-6 affirmations, taking around 30-a hour.

In spite of the fact that I utilize just coinbase.I feel comportable utilize coinbase.

I would suggest trezor hardwallet for it's security. Since you are offline, it's impossible for it to be hacked unless they have access to your hardwallet. I hope this one will help.

With an emphasis on safety I would suggest blockchain. info .Web-based wallets can pose some security and hacking risks too,but they don't have quite the glaring target on their backs that exchanges do.

I would suggest what I use, Mycelium. It is very simple and easy to use with lots of options in a compact android application. Using it from years now and its developing day by day.
Such applications are not the safest, especially on the phone. Pretty risky thing. Unless you consider it as a temporary one and you do not have more money on it ...

First of all go for a hardware wallet. Online wallets tend to be more riskier even when 2fa is enabled. The ledger nano s is a nifty device capable of working with all kinds of crypto and a secure encryption and friendly user interface experience altogether. Trezor has commendable reviews as well but Its advisable to go for a ledger product.

I think Copay is a great wallet because the simple and clean user interface of Copay makes it a good choice for new Bitcoin users. Copay is also a good choice for businesses because it features a shared account, which requires a number of users to sign every transaction.

There are a lot of Bitcoin wallets available out there in the Bitcoin world. To make it easier for you to understand, I have classified them based on certain criteria such as online connectivity, custodianship, and device availability.

like Hardware Bitcoin Wallets (aka Cold Storage)
This is the most secure and safest way to store your bitcoins because they are stored in an offline environment.
At the time of this writing, there has been no reported theft or loss of bitcoins from a hardware wallet. The private keys and digital signature needed to spend bitcoins are generated via these wallets.
The type of wallet you should use really depends on your level of activity and level of security with which you want to handle your bitcoins. It also depends on how frequently you use your funds and how much you want to store on any particular wallet. Also, are the bitcoins you possess for your savings/investment or are they for daily transactions? I personally prefer hardware wallets like Ledger Nano S for storing a significant amount of bitcoins because of the high-security features. And I use desktop wallets to keep bitcoins which I am not using for daily transactions. So that whenever required, I can quickly connect my desktop wallet to the Bitcoin network and transfer bitcoins. However, for complete safety, you should prefer using a paper wallet. In the upcoming tutorial, I would show you how to build paper wallet of your own. I only use web wallets to keep small amounts of bitcoins, similar to a wallet in my pocket for daily transactions. read for more details https://coinsutra.com/bitcoin-wallet/
i bought my ledger last november and i find it secured and safe, i would also recommend you to use not just one wallet but a lot, for you to be more safe.

Coinbase is one of the easiest ways to buy, sell and hold cryptocurrencies, With Coinbase, you can connect to a U.S. bank account and easily transfer dollars in or out of your dollar wallet.Coinbase currently supports Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin.
Electrum is also a software wallet, which means your Bitcoin is stored in a set of files on your laptop or desktop computer.  Electrum can work with some physical wallets and has some flexibility compared to just using a hardware wallet like the Trezor. Blockchain.info is similar to Coinbase in that it is an online wallet, but you can’t buy or sell directly through Blockchain, which means your Bitcoin storage is separate from your Bitcoin marketplace.

The best option is to use hard wallet like Trezor or Ledger Nano. Personally, i'm using blockchain (website and app) and i'm satisfied with it.
