That will be absolutely ground breaking, but it's not impossible, BTC become really valuable because a lot of people using it, when a lot of people swap their usage to eth then it can make eth more valuable than BTC, and at that time we will have two valuable coin to use, I think a little rivalry is good for both coins

I mean in my view if this happened it would only last for a small amount of time, as I cant see something like this lasting for more then a couple of minutes. Because once something like this was to happen it would freak everyone in Crypto and probably cause a mass ETH selloff, as people would think that ETH is massively overvalued as it still wouldn't be Bitcoin -- the big grandaddy of investing and crypto.

People do like change, but losing Bitcoin as the #1 and the #1 on price isn't something that I would think people would be too keen on. There would be massive resistance and the massive price drop of ETH after this.

I think the ETH price is likely to be higher later in the day, why? because BTC alone is now rarely want to get, cook ETH will be like this continue to cook to lose the same BTC, BTC just the more expensive the more expensive.

I'm not really sure about ETH beating BTC in price, but I believe ETH still has a long way up to go and is good in investing for the long term.

You know there was a time when more than 50% of the cryptocurrency world was dominated by bitcoins but then ripple suddenly emerged in price and so did etherum which made that percentage a little below 20 , so as you can see if that happens then the percentage of people switching onto etherum and others will be higher causing a massive price decrease in bitcoins and I do think that for that to happen they still need a lot of time and I do believe that bitcoins will be back up stronger.

Nothing. It is normal for a crypto to exceed other crypto's market value. But I highly doubt that this thing will happen since the market value of Bitcoin is way more expensive than the price of Etherium and knowing that it is continuously growing, it is obviously not possible. Don't get me wrong, etherium is a good crypto but it is jist a total mismtach to Bitcoin

I think that if it even happens, it is not very soon and if suddenly what happens is that such a situation is formed then bitcoin will be killed as it will lose its relevance and people's trust

Since the public market doesn't have really much used for ETH as of this time, I highly doubt it would surpass Bitcoin's price for no reason. Ripple has a better chance than ETH, in my honest opinion.

It is not impossible, but it is less likely. I believe that if bitcoin dies for some reason, ethereum will succeed it. Therefor ethereum can have higher price only if bitcoin dies.
And as far as changes are concerned,  there wouldn't be much of a change. Everything would work as it is, only ethereum would be number one crypto.

On the other hand smartcontracts proved that ETH can't handle high load transactions either. But there are also other candidates, so who knows

If the eth price exceeds btc price,  it's a good news for ethereum holder. But unlikely to happen bitcoin price is hard to reach and it may takes time to reach it. The eth price goes higher the demand goes higher too then the supply will become too limited.

I think this won't be the case, since a sudden increase in the price of ethereum will probably trigger an increase in bitcoin's price as well. Since bitcoin has a huge headstart, and actually still is the poster child of cryptocurrencies, I'm thinking ethereum will not catch up to btc in terms of price in the near future.

You may be right, either bitcoin will find a solution for higher speed or it will fade away for sure, it is just matter of time. Also at the moment fees are insanely high, and that is another serious problem for its survival. Bitcoin is leading crypto, but if those problems are not solved some other crypto could win the race.

It will be a wonderful news to everybody . But i think it may not because BTC is the main coin in criptrocurrency. In future if it happens it will be more pleasure to those who came lately in criptromarket and did not reserve BTC. Now they are trading ETH and reseving ETH instead of BTC. it would be a very good news yet

I cant imagine for this to happen. there is a huge gap between the price of bitcoin and the price of ethereum. maybe it can surpass bitcoin in terms of market cap because of ethereum huge supply but market cap is useless. and also i dont think that people will transfer their investments from bitcoin to ethereum just because it has too much fee to transact bitcoin. this bitcoin issues will have a solution soon. im referring to lightning network.

Nothing will happen. Competition is very high in the cryptocurrency market. So if anyone will overthrown bitcoin in the top spot, it's expected. Well of course investors of the coin that'll pass bitcoin will be very proud of their selves.

The current behaviour of ethereum there is a possibility that it will par or exceed btc.
ETH climb so fast.
One of the reason ehy it climbed so fast maybe many of btc trader migrated to ETH because of the price.
Btc is high price but the possible profit is not high unlike ETH has enough space to soar high.

i would mark my calendar because it would be the day that either bitcoin died and price of it fell down to something like $1 or zero even so that ETH could be higher than it. or it would be the day that hell freeze was over.
