Hi all,

I am new to the forum and although have invested in Bitcoin and Litecoin for longer term, I am now looking to trade alt coins.

Bittrex and Binance are closed to new accounts, are there any other trustworthy exchanges and so I need to transfer my holdings out of these exchanges to avoid hacking/theft?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Murray

binance is open now. www.binance.com/?ref=18321812
And now it's shut again Smiley
There are other exchanges, Poloniex is a decent enough exchange, there is also c-cex which is okay but I am not sure on their status of new registrations and whether they are having the same issues.

You have to buy bitcoin to buy ada right now, theres no way around it. So first you buy bitcoin on any of the exchanges (i recommend gdax), then send those btc to bittrex and trade them for ada. Done.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies so far. Do I need to take my cash/coins out of the exchange for secure storage when not trading?

You don't need to but it's highly advisable. It's not safe to keep at an Exchange unless it's less than 100$ and you don't mind loosing it

I'd suggest Kucoin exchange - maybe new but fast growing.

Xult (https://xult.com) the only exchange that supports Google Assistant and Facebook Chatbot. 20 currencies, 69 trading pairs, 50% affiliate

Thanks again for the replies.

Is it a case of buying Bitcoin through Coinbase where I already have an account and then using this to transfer to an exchange to buy the alt coin that I am looking for?

Do many of you have several registration with different exchanges based on what alt coins they support?

Could anyone explain very briefly how to remove coin from an exchange once purchased?

Thanks

Murray

I think Binance is a best option for you because it is safe and easy to use. It's re-open for registering today and it has a good trading volume on lots of coins. Bittrex is another alternative for you but it takes a lots of commisions and time to invest on there. Also it has some problems with their users too.

Cryptohunter - what scheme are you referring to?

Is Binance working OK, it says I have registered but I just get a blank screen whenever I try to log on.

I hope the termination to create a new account in Bittrex is only temporary, their traffic is too crowded because of the large number of new users..Check out some of the best lists and look in the forums to see what users are saying about the services provided, and which they think is the best site to buy bitcoins with ease.

Thanks.

Would it be better to buy BTC through the exchange itself or transfer from my Coinbase account?
