We always hear people posting about their awesome trades and/or gains but very rarely hear about the stupid things that people do. With that in mind, let's hear the biggest brainfarts you've had while trading crypto...

Of course, not having enough patience to hold and just dumping it when there's a FUD and pushing the sell button right away. That's one of the rookie mistakes I made back then. And then buying at the top price and being trap and can't get out because you will be taking a lost. But just like anyone here, we went all this stages but the most important thing is you learn from this stupid mistakes and never do it again. Hard price though to pay.

The worst ever situation I've experienced was when my #1 coin was crashing low, even lower than my buy levels and I just kept holding for months while crying every time I looked at my port. I ended up cutting my losses a year later which was a lot of time wasted.

My worst decision was to sell bitcoin contracts in panic when it went down 3000 in a single day. i thought it could liquidate but it was too far from liquidation point.

Got two of them! 1) Buying Stratis on its all-time-high back in June and dumping it some weeks later with a nice loss. 2) and way more disturbing: Buying Ripple in August at about 0.2$, holding them patiently until the beginning of December and then selling them at 0.26$ (yeah, a little profit). Regretting 48 hours later. And what a regret. 10k ripple wasted

Bought BCH coin during the pump and dump. Converted my BTC to BCH during high price and suddenly the price fell and lot a of 100s. Since B2X fork was called off many people started acclaiming BCH would overtake BTC and BTC is going to die and blah blah. Never listen to such moron. Do your own research and go by your gut feeling. Since I was a noobie back then I have leanrt how the market works now.

I would be one among the top idiots to loose a trade on the spot. It was during the beginning days of my trading journey when I didn't even what trading actually was. Yes I traded despite knowing about it. That was the first mistake I did. I should have learnt what trading is and then started it. Another mistake was taking part in pump and dumps through telegram channels. Let's be honest, every trader would have been in a pump and dump at some point of time. For me it was during my initial stage of trading. Selling in loss was the biggest mistake I did. And the funny thing is I repeated the same mistake again and again. I lost almost 75% of my initial investment during those days and then I took a break from trading.

If you did some dump because you need money urgently then don't take it as worst trading decision. Money can earned anytime and you can get back again anytime to the ball game.
Also if you hold coins and sold it (thinking that's a good price to dump) then the value of it rise after, that isn't also a worst trading decision since you got profit in the end. It's just that, it's not that much because of lack of patience but still at the end, there's a profit. Regrets indeed but not a mistake.
Now that anyone have an experienced like that then take that as reference for more successful decision in our future trades.

Bought 1 Eth 2 years ago and sold it after the price went down by more than 10% then the next day the price immediately recovered. Eth was still cheap back then so it's not a big deal for me anymore and that experience helped me to be more disciplined every time the price goes down.

The worst I have ever made in my life was during forex trading. I thought I could do it all by myself, pick a price beneath, sell high, blah blah... This made me to attach emotion into my trading, and most times, either I panic or I just ended up getting greedy and losing out totally. But it is all part of the lesson, and afterwards, when I understood that I cannot do without learning, I got better and that is totally helping me right now even in the world of crypto with a lot of opportunities that abound.

As usual, the worst decision when trading is buying at high prices and selling at low prices, it is a very bad decision I have ever experienced in dogecoin trading. Until now I am very careful to trade so as not to repeat the same mistakes.

Sounds like a small price to pay for some valuable knowledge... I bought a presale monk at a price of around $ 1, then Monk on the Cryptopia a for $ 7, I did not sell that hold it. Then Monk dropped below $ 1 I sold again and now it is $ 12. This is about my worst investment because I did not believe in my own judgment. I have learned many valuable lessons from this failure.

I think thats not your fault when you try to hold it for longer because we know that by holding we will get profit. Just need to be patient. But like your story, the reality and the theory are very different. I think holding is only worth to top altcoin only.
