A simple question, does anyone here s got any working crypto debit card besides Bitpay for US residents? Is there anything which works in Europe and the fees are not going to make me cry?

Once more, I d like to hear experience of people who have the card working ATM, not that preorder stuff.

Thx

I do not see sense now to have such a map. To pay by bitcoin you will not succeed. For shopping you will have to use intermediaries in the exchange of bitcoins for Fiat. It is more expensive than selling bitcoin on the exchange and withdraw Fiat to a Bank card. I hope that the situation will change in the future but this would require bitcoin really become the currency.

I did quite some research and:
* Mistertango has fees that make it worth working with only if you go with some 0.5 BTC on each deposit. So .. no.
* XMLGold.eu 's owner is in vacation, I assume, I still wait for answers, see here
* Uquid thread seem to have more scam accusations than anything useful.
* Some said nice words about advcash.com, I just started testing them I cannot tell much. Their cards do work in Europe, but each deposit contains a "bitcoin gateway fee" of some 10 EUR. People claim that they have quite some hidden fees.
* Monaco has a long waiting line and no people to tell they've been using it. And for most of their cards you need to hold a stash of their coin for 6 months.

Any addition to the list is welcome.

There was Tenx who had a working card but then the whole Wavecrest debacle happened and now we are here. They are in talks with another provider but they can't leak any details as of yet which sucks but I am confident they have somebody else behind!

WaveCrest shutdown has affected most of the bitcoin related debit cards, most of them used WaveCrest as a card issuer and service provider like XAPO, Tenx, etc... It just happened last week, so if the wallet providers had no backup plan to change the card issuer partner if needed, we have to wait maybe longer then we expect... And no anonymous cards will be present in the future, VISA has a clear regulation about AML and KYC.
I know that the bitcoin debit card was the easiest way to use bitcoin for payments in real life, but we should wait for LN to start and it could also help the everyday transactions, we won't need a card but just a mobile wallet if the merchants will accept bitcoin payment via the LN network...

Honestly, the only viable solution I see right now is to wait for Monaco to come to market. Their offer is the only one that seems to guarantee proper compliance. No point investing in some of the WaveCrest survivors even if they come back with a new issuer... they've demonstrated gross incompetence to say the least. The few other cards out there... very few... look  suspicious, unreliable, or outright cost too much.

As far as people wishing for anonimity, you can forget that when it comes to major circuit cards. Visa, MasterCard, and any other major processor will _never_ risk its entire existence to let you have a KYC/AML-less card.

No real good reason for one anyways,.

Major bitcoin debit card providers such as CryptoPay, Wirex, TenX, and Bitwala have issued statements informing users that all VISA card operations have been cancelled effective immediately following urgent communication from card issuer WaveCrest. With zero notice, this leaves thousands of debit card users around the world trapped with no access to funds.

I dont think Monaco ll get their card out before Tenx, I m almost sure Tenx will do it first. Why? Cause they ve had over 200k active cards before this Wavecrest issue while Monaco s got 50-60k applications. Who do you think major companies will go after?

What about Wagecan, anyone using them?

Why in the world would you trust your custom with a company like TenX that has just demonstrated terrible decision making, and poor contingency planning?

These companies are as good as dead, they went for the low hanging fruit, and fell with the rotten apple they swarmed around.

Even if TenX does find another issuing partner, it isn't that fast to go back to the market, and I truly hope not many customers are willing to put themselves at risk again after this experience.

Let me counter that with a question, why in the world would you trust a company like Monaco which promised their clients rewards, people bought their ICO token mostly cause of that, then Monaco said "geee, not possible sorry" How is that not a terrible decision making and even worse contingency planning??
There is no way I d ever hold their card after that.

With Tenx, they did great job before this Wavecrest issue. If they do not keep their promises, I ll move to Bitpay or something else. I value my money too much to give it to incompetent players. For now, Tenx seems to have 4x more client compared to Monaco, that is the fact. They also had a card 3 months before Monaco, as far as I know Monaco has not even started delivering cards and I used Tenx card 2 months ago. In my book, they beat Monaco on every front. Let us see who delivers new cards first.

Also, please do not derail this thread, if you d like to continue this discussion, pls PM me.

This is hardly derailing a thread. If a person wants to choose a debit card, they ought to have as much information as possible, and the quality of the issuing company is, I'd say, quite on topic.

TenX had to do exactly the same with their token, except they had to rush it out last minute. They broke the same "promise", and that's simply because what they were offering was clearly pointed out to constitute a security (which would have caused delisting from exchanges). Again, Monaco had the honesty and forethought of doing this in good time and transparently. TenX did not.

Sure, they had cards issued sooner. Cards issued through a shady partner where every other card was going to to avoid having to do any real work. Quick to market, quick off the market.

Monaco is taking things slowly, and they're going much further. They have succesfully obtained VISA membership, and they partnered with a world-class manufacturer/issuer.

Now, existing cards are, IMHO, either shady or too expensive. Or dead, in TenX's case.
The honest answer to OP is to wait for a company that has been doing things well.

It would be awesome to have a crypto debit card but thinking about the fees makes me prefer to just exchange the coin to fiat and spend it normally. I have heard about TenX and some were able to successfully use it not sure about Europe though.

Yeah i ordered xapo bitcoin debit card in 2016, allows me to spend bitcoins on ATMs and online shopping websites, i can take a lot of benifits from this card. You can simply deposit bitcoins into your xapo wallet and spend them as like fiat anywhere where debit cards are accepted.
The fee is bit higher but almost affordable than other card providers

The honest answer to OP is to wait for a company that has been doing things well.

As I ve said, if case Tenx fails to deliver additional value to their token in a form of some kind of reward, I ll quit using them immediately. However, I am 99% sure they will not do this cause if they wanted to go that way, they would have done it by now. So I would not say then broke their promise, they are just a bit late on that.

Besides, let me ask you one thing, what happens with Tenx Pay token price if they do start delivering some form of payment, ha? It ll go to $50 long term. Lots of other companies already deliver some form or reward payments. Kucoin does it, Bankera does it, etc, etc. How come they have no problems with that? So it s not something cannot be done, it s just Monaco cares more about selling cards to US market then to keeping their promises since US regulations are the only issue related to securities. EU and the rest of the world does not have problem with crypto rewards. So they opted to go back on their promise so they could make more money. So no, they will not see a dime from me. Reputation cant be bought.

On the other hand, what value does Monaco token hold without rewards? Why did people buy it besides to give free money to Monaco company? Without rewards, card tokens are based on speculation only and this is hardly something which is related to real businesses.

Idk if such a thing exists until today, as most debit card providers are controlled by Wavecrest holdings, and most of the crypto debit cards have since halted operation since November 1, 2017. Tenx still exists, though I'm not entirely sure what the fees are or whether or not they're affordable for US residents, and upon reading several posts above me, it seems that you're already using one, so why not stick to that then? As of this moment there aren't much options for a debit card provider as I see it.

Update: I made my first successful funding of my advcash account, I ordered my plastic card and I made my first payments with my virtual card.
They have some bugs, in some cases it tells that I am not allowed to do this and that because I reached my (unverified?) limits, but if I adjust the amounts it works.

Wagecan does indeed cost 180-225$ ?? Quite pricey...

If I am not mistaken Skrill accepts bitcoins and autotransfers it into fiat, have not used it for a while so I will need to check it. Also heard something about advcash, but again need to register and see myself. Nowadays I don;t trust anyone, unless try myself.

Big time, plus it is based in Asia. But it s OK to have alternatives. Advcash has introduced 500 EUR pay day limit for non EU/SEPA countries.

I don't think that there are many EU/SEPA users travelling outside EU/SEPA and use their cards.
AdvCash doesn't allow non EU/SEPA users get cards anyway.

The limits are not that bad. Their "gateway fee" and their bugs are much worse imho Smiley

A simple question, does anyone here s got any working crypto debit card besides Bitpay for US residents? Is there anything which works in Europe and the fees are not going to make me cry?

Once more, I d like to hear experience of people who have the card working ATM, not that preorder stuff.

Thx

I have used cards from both Bitplastic and WageCan, and both of them worked fine for me. (But then I am a resident of Indonesia and not the United States). Also, you can't complain too much about the fee. Including the currency conversion charges, the overall fee comes to around 10% to 12%.

It seems that you don't check what you're posting. Almost all of these cards are history now (except Shift which is US only and wasn't affected).

Since these sig campaigns started paying people for posting, lots of these posts are BS, just there to up post count. It lowers quality of this entire forum.

I have a Mistertango IBAN account and a MasterCard linked to it. I use the card when I travel and no ATM has refused it so far. Even here in Japan where only the Japan Post Bank and Seven Bank accept non-Japanese cards, I got some Yen with Mistertango’s MasterCard.

Shops accept it universally but PIN validation is required. Strangely Starbucks won’t let me key in the PIN so they refused the card outright. If a merchant refuses PIN input, Mistertango’s MasterCard will not work and the transaction will be declined.

I know of no other bitcoin card which is still alive and operational. BitPay offers a Visa card to US residents issued by Metropolitan Commercial Bank so that card might still be in active circulation and use. On their site it says

For US Residents:The BitPay Visa® Prepaid Card is issued by Metropolitan Commercial Bank, member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa, U.S.A. Inc. “Metropolitan” and “Metropolitan Commercial Bank” are registered trademarks of Metropolitan Commercial Bank © 2014. Use of the Card is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Cardholder Agreement and fee schedule, if any.

For Non-US Residents:The BitPay Visa® Prepaid Card is issued by Wave Crest Holdings Limited pursuant to a license from Visa® Europe. Visa® is a registered trademark of Visa Incorporated. Wave Crest Holdings Limited is a licensed electronic money institution by the Financial Services Commission, Gibraltar.

which suggests non-US residents’ cards are probably the only suspended cards. Or?

It's actually 200EUR each month with no withdrawal fee. With the fees it's much more.

As mentioned by another poster above, it’s 200 Euros without fees but you can withdraw much more and will be charged the usual fees imposed on other cards. It’s a clever attempt to encourage card holders to use the card more often in the retail environment (for shopping, POS-based payments etc) rather than cash withdrawals. Limiting the no-fee threshold to 200 Euros will probably urge the fee-conscious card holder to withdraw no more than that much cash and use the card to pay in stores and shops instead. Excessive cash withdrawals are treated as suspicious by just about any card provider on this planet.

You can of course withdraw much more than 200 EUR but it might not be a good idea to withdraw thousands daily. This will trigger alarm bells.

Things might have changed since HostFat posted this link.

However, the final paragraph of that PDF says the card is issued by Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd.

Wirecard is one of the most respected European card companies. If it s them, then it is definitely worth of checking it out.

If anyone uses Mistertango, I would be interested on how the funding of the card goes, since I've read that funding Bitcoin has huge fee.
Or maybe there's another solution (funding from 3rd party exchange?) I don't know of.

I have not tried this you can try there with the advcash card buddy. It was around 10 USD initial time to buy a card. after some months it may get on for high price on the market. You can operate to the ATM machines and charges will be applied on it accordingly.
There are many people increasing the fees now itself but you are going to the card means you will have to pay charges and extra fund for using on the ATM and transaction charges too. So better using virtual wallet alone is a fine one.

Oopsie, this is quite a big minus.

I can say something similar about XMLGold.eu Smiley I waited patiently for an answer on bitcointalk and when they posted there, they completely ignored my questions.

I already know of advcash, thank you very much, but we were discussing about another providers now. You could have read up a little before ... posting.

I do have to say I m quite unhappy with Mistertango support, have sent them an email 3 days ago, they reply with completely useless info, I asked again and nothing since then.

This is not nice to hear and it could be a significant problem.
But the truth is that many services have poor customer support, either they are very slow or they don't even answer and when they do you see that people who run the support don't have the clue about the topic.
I hoped that it's different with Mistertango.

They are probably drowning in support requests.

You have to take into account that more than one hundred thousand debit cards were
shutdown after the WaveCrest news. Many people have probably made the switch to MisterTango,
because at the moment it is one of the few remaining options for a debit card that
can be loaded with BTC.

I think they will eventually give you a good reply if you are persistent.
Maybe you should post your questions in this thread, because active MisterTango users
might be able to help you out.

I used to use an ANX debit card. Their card is currently not available, apparently will be this year. Maybe next month or so. Pretty good overall. Dunno if they discriminate based on nationality. Most appear to discriminate. I just recieved a SHIFT card. Uses a Coinbase wallet. Haven't tried it yet. Only available to US citizens or residents.

The IBAN account is funded by SEPA or SWIFT. If using either method and if the source or sending account is not the same person named on the Mistertango account, they might ask questions about the transferred funds, especially if it is a really large amount.

You can also fund the account by sending bitcoins to the dedicated BTC address linked to that account. If you go to settings, you will find that address. It's a static one and doesn't change, although you might be able to request a new address (not sure about this). My address has been the same from day 1 of opening the account.

Bitcoin transactions on the IBAN account are linked to this exchange:

http://btc-exchange.com/

Any coins you send to the linked BTC address are traded at best possible rate on that exchange.

I think they changed their fee system. Check their ANN thread.

Thanks for this update. Not sure what's happening behind the scenes. Probably flooded with registration requests now that Wave Crest died.

I better load my Mistertango account with small BTC amounts only. I would hate to be stuck with unresolved issues for days or weeks without help from their support.

Thanks for the detailed info. So top up from other exchanges doesn't really make sense.

I visited the exchange's ANN thread, I even discussed about the fees there, but I failed to understand their explanation why they charge for deposits 1% but not less than 0.0025 BTC "due to huge recent networks fees", since the sender (which is myself) pays the network fees already. And that minimum 0.0025 BTC is imho quite a lot if you don't send big amounts.

Still no reply from Mistertango and I think I ll be definitely not ordering a card from them. I can understand they re swamped with users but 4 days no reply is big NO.

On the other hand, Advcash support s been lighting fast, I m talking responding in just hours after I d ask a question.

You already have Advcash card or just planing to order it? I would like to know the experiences.
Also, is card directly connected to wallet ther  (like Xapo) or you have to fund it extra? I have already ordered Mistertango but I don't like those comments about poor support and maybe it wouldn't be bad to have multiple cards to use them depending on occasion.

Just got my advcash. Took 9 days, sent on the 10th of jan using their free shipping option. Is a mastercard, issued in gibraltar.

Will use in a couple of days, you're supposed to load it with bitcoin. Can't keep bitcoin on advcash wallet and load it at a later time, they don't have a btc wallet there, only usd, gbp, brl, eur.

Seems that your card has arrived rather fast. Hope my will too.
Xapo had the best option to my opinion. You could keep your coins in their wallet that was directly connected with the card so you didn't have to upload the card, pay the fee and the funds were always available. It was very convenient to use, hope they will find the new provider soon and keep that concept.

I have a virtual advcash card and waiting for the plastic to get delivered.
The experience with the support was quick and good - they were helpful.
You don't load the card directly you fund the account. The account can contain only FIAT and you have actually a number of FIAT wallets (one for USD, one for EUR, one RUB and you can add a few other currencies too GBP, ..).
You can fund the any time from these wallets and each funding costs 1$ (for USD card). If you are not verified you can fund only 100$ at once (250$ total, I think).

Funding the FIAT wallets from your Bitcoin wallet is done 99% the same way you'd buy a product with Bitcoin (at least from my experience) : you pick the amount in USD/EUR/whatever, they generate for you the number that means the amount of Bitcoin to be sent to a certain one-use wallet in a specified time. When the transaction is sent, you are OK. After 6 confirmations you are funded. If you send from exchange or web wallet you may miss that time frame and then they don't guarantee the amount of FIAT you'll get (at least it's not lost).
Now the tricky part. That amount of Bitcoin you have to send will be bigger than you'd expect because they use their exchange, which is clearly worse than preev. More than that, they charge for you a "gateway fee", which in my case of funding was about 10$ (not as bad as Mistertango, still far from great).

I made a few payments with that virtual card. It is a Wavecrest (yes, lol) Mastercard, but it works.

Yes, that's how my cryptopay used to be. They had a btc account and you could keep it there, load to the card as you wish. With adv you have to keep your coins on an external wallet (which is better security wise) and only send what you want to cashout. You will have to pay the bitcoin fee each time though, which can sting in the long run.

I wish advcash would just introduce a btc wallet to their system along with their usd/eur/gbp ones.

Interesting. So Wave Crest is still operating as usual but now offering MasterCard instead? I remember Visa killed their partnership with Wave Crest earlier this month. If you got this MasterCard from Gibraltar and the issuer is Wave Crest, then it looks like there is still hope out there.

What I liked about Wave Crest's cards was the tri-currency feature and the high spend limits. Their fees were very reasonable, especially if you compare it to other cards (WageCan, to name one).

Online bin checker doesn't say wavecrest specifically, but seems like it.

Paid like 15$, got 5 credited to account. Sure beats that other mastercard with a 230$ issue fee lol

Waiting for the xmlgold.eu card to get here also. Supposedly it's a visa that still works. Will see when it comes and post, maybe compare the two , fee loading wise.

Yes, this is interesting information but if Visa broke the partnership with Wave Crest because of the policy violation then similar could happen with Master Card too on a long term.
I'm not sure what to think about that but  I can't believe there isn't some other reliable partner who could offer such services.

If you ordered XML.Gold.eu, can you please ask them who issues their cards? Due to mentioned reasons with Wavecrest and VISA, I d like to differentiate. If Wavecrest provides Mastercard, it would be smart to get VISA from Wirecard issuer. I think Mistertango provides their card but due to my personal issues with their support, I d like a more reliable provider.

Simply cant believe these large card companies are so slow and have been so unprepared and relied to only 1 provider. I see some Asian providers have started listing dates for card deliver, last week of February.

There is this Singapore-based project with links to Estonia’s e-Residency system. They have ambitious goals and aim to be the most exciting banking application in the world which would be really nice if they could truly pull it off. Achieving that milestone would mean ending our dependence on traditional banks and ending too the uncertainties they create for the crypto community.

https://getchange.com/

I’m already an Estonian e-Resident so this would be a nice addition to my portfolio of accounts.

I’m posting this here because I believe they will introduce a card soon. I’m not sure if they are still negotiating with a card issuer but they seem to be making progress. Singapore’s progressive environment is a good place for these projects. The government is very pro-fintech and technology focused. Let’s hope lasting solutions will come out of this super exciting project.

After Visa and Wave Crest broken partnership issue there is a pretty big open space on a bitcoin debit card market and lack of such services. Ideal for new providers to find their niche and good opportunity to make the profit and benefit for the users too.

Any more alternatives? I just received a list of companies Wirecard works with, directly from them, no Mister Tango on the list.

Many thanks for sharing. This would really a milestone to get independent from traditional financial institutes. How long took it to get Estonian E-resident? And it is only for business, right?

Hey.. I applied on 12 November and got the approval email from the Estonian Police and Border Guard on the 27th of the same month. They then shipped the card, codes and USB accessory to the Estonian Embassy in Tokyo which I collected when I visited Japan two weeks ago. The process was a very smooth and easy one.

You can use e-Residency to open and operate an EU-based company, registered in Estonia, and to open bank accounts with Estonian banks. All done online.

As for Change, I really can't wait to use their wallet and card. They are a partner of the e-Residency initiative so that too is an exciting aspect of this entire Change project. I hope it really changes the crypto landscape for the better.

Well, I expect Tenx to start shipping somewhere close to end of Q1 again. If they do, their cards can be funded using Etherum as well. Problems should be solved withing a few weeks.

It seems Advcash has just closed down their cards program due to the same issue with Wavecrest.

I guess we have no more working crypto cards ATM.

AdvCash has closed the loading of the cards and the existing cards will still be working until February 27.
Wavecrest is clearly doing something wrong...

Well, I expect Tenx to start shipping somewhere close to end of Q1 again. If they do, their cards can be funded using Etherum as well. Problems should be solved withing a few weeks.

It may worth mentioning that TenX preordering is closed for now. I posted yesterday in their threads the message I've got, but nobody cared much of it, I guess most have already preordered and I am the only one late...

Because there are no others. There are no plan B. I dont know why every one of them states that.
Even if there were, this plan would already be screwed over by VISA, since its against their policies with the deal between MC/VISA.

All this shit started 3-4 years ago, when NETELLER and Skrill was starting to support crypto.

People started using it to withdraw for a month or two
Then Skrill/Neteller informed everyone that you could only use deposited crypto to send to other stores, and not withdraw from cards (that was easy to bypass though)

But why did skrill and neteller make this rule? Obviously their Net+ mastercard was informed to stop supporting crypto. Nothing else. So when people say this is not an attack on crypto, i dont know what else it is? The let skrill/neteller keep their cards.
After 3-6 months, they shut down the possibility to deposit BTC again. Someone has told them to do this. This someone was probably VISA, who already then threatned them.

And you all know what the rest of the story... First VISA shut down everything... Then mastercard was restricted to only SEPA......then short time after, shut down worldwide.

Someone out there does not like Mastercard or VISA to support crypto. Someone with alot power.

I don't like that situation at all. Something has gone terribly wrong. Still I don't believ this is a special war against crypto.
What about Mistertango, are they still operating? It's MasterCard. I have ordered it and waiting to arrive. Hope it wasn't for nothing.

I couldn't agree more. Such profitable market, and market of the future I would say, and that nobody hasn't developed some back up strategy and reserve options, hard to beleive.
And I still beleive those bitcoin debit card services had some information before all this issues with Visa and Wave Crest have happened. They must have known something.

I dont believe it s general anti crypto policy. I do believe banks will do everything they can to sabotage crypto cause their position of power has been challenged.

Yet, there will always be a way. For example Revolut has just received a banking licence so they do not need to rely on banks anymore. The same will happen with Tenx in a few months. After that, FUCK BANKS. One cannot stop innovations.

As I say, as long there is one or two or five banks willing to work with crypto, the rest can suck dick.
These old industries will always try to stop the way things re currently being done. I am not worried about that at all. However, I would like to know what card can I use till late March when all these big ones will start shipping again.

Yes, this is the right question. How to overbridge this period when practicly no bitcoin debit card service is offered at all and we haven't expected for situation to escalate in such direction to be prepared. Or is there any reliable card that coud be used? Exchanging bitcoins through localbitcoins or banks is not an option for me so card was ideal solution.
I'm afraid also that this card issue created a space for different scamers to offer false cards.

this.

did not know neteller skrill story, but I agree 100% with you, sadly.
I am very angry because this war started just as soon as I entered the market. i did not use my bank ATM in the last month thanks to bitcoins. And now it's all over, if I want some btc converted, I'll have to use Coinbase and my bank again, with all slowness and risks involved. Or I'll have to ask to my favourite strip clubs if they accept bitcoins, don't think so.

for all other please express your vote in my poll: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2812087.0

I guess there are always BTC to Paypal options but fees with that method re obnoxious.

Cex.io also allows withdrawal to credit card but with some verification.

There are two ways:

1. VISA Personal Payments (VPP) or VISA Direct (US cards only) and

2. MasterCard Send.

These are P2P payment systems and the sending entity is usually a bank or a service with access to that service. A few banks allow their customers to use it on their online banking platform.

Cex.io is probably an approved provider of this service.

Ok but how do I know if my regular credit cards (I have 2 visa and a mastercard, SEPA zone) can accept these kinds of payments?

I've read around that a credit card can accept money in the form of a "bonus" in the plafond for that month. You can spend it or alto ATM withdraw /but usually credit card ATM fees are high)

what fees are in cex.io?

You know by simply reading here. This system does work, CEX lists their fees and a very detailed way how to verify card with them. If I were you, I d try using a small amount, to test the system. It takes about 3 business days to transfer money.

Yes, I'll definetly try with a small amount, thanks

For the 3 days, I really hoped it was faster. If it's so slow, probably best option is SEPA with coinbase or similar

Yes, that s an option. Most of the big exchanges allow SEPA, Kraken, Bitstamp, etc.

Still, the card is the most convenient way. A company which re-enables this option first will make millions.

Just to share my experience with Mistertango.
I use it for couple of days now and the card is working fine, it's accepted everywhere so I'm happy with that.
Still I'm not happy at all with Bitcoin exchange rate. Currently the price at Bitstamp is around 11000$ and Mistertango is exchanging at lower than 9000$. This is not fair.
That is the reason that Xapo was much better and you didn't have to exchange your coins immediately, especialy not at such unfavourable rate.
So I hope that Xapo will be able to provide Bitcoin cards with new provider very soon.

Thanks for sharing.
So if I understood right you pay the deposit fee (1% / min 0.005?) and then in their "zero fee" exchange the prices are this bad? Wow... Sad

Edit: I add here, since I've just read it and I don't want to just post after post. XMLGold.eu cards will also entering into "maintenance mode" because of Wavecrest issues. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1415473.msg28990724#msg28990724

Is there another service besides Cex.io which lets you deposit crypto, exchange for FIAT and then withdraw it to ordinary VISA/MASTERCARD?

About Mistertango fee, terrible exchange rate, it s better to use Virvox to Paypal, that is at least only 10%.

I'm using ePayments card right now, they work with MasterdCard.
They support BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC and BTG! Low fees, user-friendly app for iOS and Android!
A lot of features available! Recommended

Maybe it's still working because it's a MasterCard. Some say they still are in business with Wave Crest but if this is true the question is for how long and when the issues with them will start too.
Anyway, I hope Bitcoin debit cards will soon become available in much biger choice and some new reliable provider will appear.

Is there another service besides Cex.io which lets you deposit crypto, exchange for FIAT and then withdraw it to ordinary VISA/MASTERCARD?

About Mistertango fee, terrible exchange rate, it s better to use Virvox to Paypal, that is at least only 10%.

I would also like to know if there is some other similar service like Cex.io. You can't open account with them anymore, you get the message that registration of new users is temporary suspended. Why is that for?
What about Skrill, do they offer possibility to fund the account with Bitcoins and then withdraw to a card?

Yes,

I've just verified by telephone number and their issuer is wavecrest. It's incredible they did not write anything on their website to warn users of debit card shut down.

If you need an urgent crypto debit card where you can send crypto and the convert into fiat and spend on the card you have 3 choices as far i know!

1- ePayments [very low fees]
2- uPayCard [very low fees]
3- Mistertango [high fees for lower volumes]

I have the 3 cards, and im happy with all of them, but right now i use only the ePayments because of the lowest fees for lower volumes and instant balance update and easy to manage platform!

If you need help with any of thoose cards, you can ask!

UpayCard have that funciton as well, you can load crypto(BTC and ETH only) into their e-wallet and convert into fiat when you need it, the thing i dont like on the upaycard is the balance update, when you use the card it takes 24h to update the balance, but on transactions inside your e-wallet its "instant" (5min for ETH and 30min for BTC)! But the card works great aswell, but since i like to have my balance up-to-date in real time, thats the only con i see on their service, and in comparisson to ePayments their fees are a bit higher, but nothing problematic.

Yesterday i´ve used the 3 cards for payments, gasoline, food and atw withdrawal, and all the 3 cards works Smiley

btw the ePayments didnt allow you to have crypto on the e-wallet, when you load crypto into ePayments automatically converts into selected FIAT (EUR,USD or RUB)!

So this might be a problem for some users, but not for me, i keep all my crypto on coinbase, and the only crypto i wanna spend i transfer to cards!

Let me sum it up. If you have significant amount of money in Bitcoin, it's not advised to keep it at Coinbase or any other online service. The money at a web service (exchange, online wallet, ..) is not 100% yours. If anything wrong happens with that service, your money is lost.
For bigger amounts of Bitcoin, depending how much they are used, the advised options are, in no particular order paper wallets, wallets on your computer (or laptop, or smartphone), also with cold wallet or hardware wallet as needed or depending on your knowledge in the field.

SatoshiTango is issued by WaveCrest, so its down for the moment!

Right now you as far as i know you have:

ePayments - Issued by themselves (Load via BTC,ETH,LTC,BTG,BCC) *the money is automatically converted into fiat, cant have wallet in crypto, great app for mobile, and low-fees
uPayCard - Issued by PSI-Pay ltd (Load via BTC or ETH) *allows you to have the money in their e-wallet with crypto, but delays on balance update and mid-fees
Mistertango - Issued by Wirecard (Load via BTC only) *the money is automatically converted into fiat if you use their BTC adress, optionally you can use their own exchange and convert into fiat when you desire, good app for mobile, fees too high for low volume top-up of the card!

I have all the 3 and right now im using more the epayments because of the low-fees on small top-ups of the card!

if you need anything, just ask!

According to Whois, the domain has been exchanged to a new owner around 2015, they are at least 3 years old.
Wagecan are expensive, only buy their card if you're really desperate for Bitcoin Debit Card.
As far as I know epayments are legit, but they require immediate verification upon registering, which I refuse to do.

I have just became the proud owner of a brand new virtual VISA card from Wirex.
Preev tells 6959 USD/BTC, Wirex tells 6889 USD/BTC, it's not that bad (well, preev already makes me cry tbh, but that's another story)

Please tell us more. Is this for UK? Have you loaded it yet? Is it instant or the same as before with waiting times? You still use the same page as before with their old card? Did you get an IBAN like they promised?

Take a look at Paycent card: https://paycent.com/

They are the only project currently which starts delivering their card. Their card comes under MasterCard card brand so it will be possible to use all PoS and ATM in the network worldwide. The delivery started today (30th April).

Worldwide coverage expect for few sanctioned countries.

Their mobile wallet app is live and supports BTC, ETH, LTC and very soon Dash, and native PYN token.

I’ve passed KYC and now I’m waiting for the delivery. Will let you now when I use it, but till then you can watch their CEO using it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ0SJVpDPVk

Take a look at Paycent card: https://paycent.com/
Their card cost $140, even though it is cheaper than Wagecan it is still a large amount.
Especially considering that Wirex has started to relaunch their service in Europe and will expand further.
If they priced it cheaper I would order it asap, but I'm not sure with $140.

Also, no mention of KYC on their website, is it possible to use their card without KYC?

One off fee is for four years, no additional maintenance fees. I don't know for how long is Wagecan valid. Fiat to crypto, and vice versa 1.5%.

KYC is necessary for the card, I passed mine within few working days.

Wanted to share a short review of a new Wirex debit card. Due to my previous poor experience with Wirex (7-8 out of 10 card loads failed or took a REEEEAALLY LONG time and/or opening multiple tickets with them receiving only incoherent mumbling about some mysterious planned maintenance with no advance notice) I was expecting some kind of catch but I wasn't expecting something like this: max ATM withdrawal daily limit is....  250EUR! After checking my account I found that I was charged ~10EUR in fees! So it means to withdraw 1kEUR you'll have to pay ~40EUR in fees! What a RIPOFF! This is without taking into account their fake exchange rate and card maintenance monthly fees! The most interesting fact is that I wasn't able to find these fees and ATM daily limits on their website. So this card is completely unusable for me and my needs. Perhaps if you're planning to use it to pay in shops, restaurants etc it will be ok for you but the POS fees are also missing from their website.... so beware!  Angry

You should really learn to research a little for the info.
The limit is indeed 250 EUR/day, as I've found out here.
The fees are indeed big, but they are written down. If you are in Europe, you pay 2.25 EUR + 3%, which for your example is 9.75 EUR.
Their "fake exchange rate" gives them some 2-3% also, from what I've checked last year.

All in all, their fees used to be indeed far from small, but not really bigger than others'. I think that now they have an extra 3% at ATM withdrawal, but they have virtually no competition... Maybe when real competition will come up they'll reduce the fees, until then I guess not. All in all they try to make you (us) to use the cards in shops - they even promised some returns from that. I can bet that those values will be very small, but still...

Yes, if you dig really deep into their help center you'll find it. But why should one do any kind of research? It should be mentioned on this card order page: https://wirexapp.com/card/  if it's not there it means they have a reason to hide it otherwise nobody would ever want to order their card....   Angry

As an alternative you can try Mistertango. They only charge 20EUR for every 1kEUR withdrawn and daily ATM limit is 1000EUR.

I agree that Mistertango is probably the best option for people that reside in Europe.
However, they also charge for BTC top-ups (if I recall it correctly, they charge 0.0025 BTC for
every top-up). This makes Mistertango unfeasible for small amounts.

A simple question, does anyone here s got any working crypto debit card besides Bitpay for US residents? Is there anything which works in Europe and the fees are not going to make me cry?

Once more, I d like to hear experience of people who have the card working ATM, not that preorder stuff.

Thx

I have never heard such crypto debit card, But if its really exist then it would be good and secure for us. We can access our coins without login into our wallets. But the thing which makes me more worried is its fee. I believe they applied highly fee while cash out. I would like to use this debit card but only if this problem get solved in future.

If there was an opportunity to have a crypto debit card, I would love to own that because I won't risk myself storing cryptocurrency online. Because of that I would be able to have confidence on my holding to be safe rather than vulnerable of being stolen. But for now it remains a dream for all of us now, and yet most of developing countries wasn't accepting cryptocurrency due to mis information and negative perceptions.
