Btc and eth had different uses,  like for example many of us (investors) are already meet first the bitcoin,  so more exchange are reliable in bitcoin even though bitcoin now has some issue like transactions fee and network speed. The first thing now is the issue of bitcoin so many of them are switch to eth.  But sooner after bitcoin implement its lightning speed network,  it will back to normal.

You was so lazy that you couldn't come up with some new idea, to add something more to your comment. You just wrote the same question that is asked so many times on this forum. One more time there isn't btc vs eth, and I don't know why people repeat that all the time, what is so special about eth that can make people abandon bitcoin and buy ethereum? Same is in opposite direction, why would anyone sell ethereum that is platform to buy more bitcoins? Why to do such things when you can have it both and be secured from two sides?
Please stop spreading spam around the forum, one more newbie with nothing new to offers, that how stupid some people are, at least this newbie could make some effort and wrote some new question.

As of now ethereum keeps increasing its price better than bitcoin. Because of some reason,  after its record breaking value of over $19000, it now dumps to over $14000 that for some reason gives ETH opportunity to increase its price because of its increasing demand in the market and this gives reason to people to think that ETH might beat BTC in the near future which we can't consider impossible, but for me, i think it would take many years for it to happen. Bitcoin might dump for now, but surely it will pump and may skyrocket just like what happen in the past few months.

Good point. I agree with you here. So many people are underestimating bitcoin even after its recent price surge which honestly baffles me. Look at how far it has come($0.2 to $20k) which is seriously mind-boggling and it is not done here. As you said, once the developers integrate lightning into the bitcoin network, its value will skyrocket to a whole new range and the transactions speed will obviously skyrocket too making it much more valuable in the long run when compared to Ethereum. HODL those bitcoins for insane profits in the long run.

I think OP is talking about the ranking on the Coinmarketcap but yes this 2 coins are different from each other and nobody can replace the other, I really think that Ethereum was doing a great job in gaining more market cap and almost catching up with bitcoin even though the price of bitcoin exceeds the ETH price, But yes this is the 2 leading Cryptos that you can surely make an investment that will profit.

could be, but not in the near future. a lot of demand and a limited amount of bitcoin in the market makes the value of bitcoin rise very drastically. actually etherum can, the market demand of etherum in the market is also large, but the amount is not limited. that's what keeps the etherum up not yet like a bitcoin at the moment. maybe the next 2-3 years.

It will and it must. Imagine you are sending your transaction that cost you around $25 for a single transaction if you are using bitcoin blockchain and then if you are moving toward ethereum and it will cost you around $2.
But for the actual payment ethereum should become the first and then bitcoin will be the second.   People are more familiar to ethereum platform.

Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are used for different purpose so I don’t see anyway to compare the features.

In term of prices and market cap, I don’t think Ethereum is able to overtake Bitcoin for the next few years.

I think in this two months Ethereum will reach to Bitcoin also will pass it but after that Bitcoin will have one big pump that will go to far from Ethereum and other altcoins.
