Nice read. I think the community should consider using the funds on the community wallet specifically to apply to bigger exchanges once the mainnet is launched. You could set up a vote on this, for future static node owners.

As the team stated, a dynamic fee structure is in the works. The fees were recently lowered from 50 to 1 xby due to the sharp price rise, but this is a temporary solution.

Our team has been hard at work on X-CITE. Yes, that’s right, X-CITE - the decentralized XTRABYTES platform that will host our exchange, our multifaceted modules and multiple other functionalities. You can get an early taste of our first prototype by downloading test versions for Windows and for Android

In the next few weeks we will be making massive improvements to the functionalities of the client, so stay tuned throughout the process! The client will be updated occasionally, so you will need to re-download the latest version.

The X-CITE client will not be connected to any blockchain just yet – this is just a prototype to give you a hint of what is to come and show there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes. The X-CHAT module has its first integrated prototype in the client and should be functional

Anyone is welcome to witness the action over the coming days as we bring the X-CITE client to life right before your very eyes.

Good to know about Proof of Signature concept used by XtraBytes. The DCOM API for integrating custom modules into XtraBytes network can provide a healthy ecosystem for developers to make use of XtraBytes platform. Waiting to see some sample modules deployed on the platform and its usability.Great project, truly believe in this coin to rise even more.

What's the incentive to run a node and secure network then?

For my understanding, statics will be kind of master nodes

STaTiC nodes receive the transaction fees, similar to DPOS indeed. However, the consensus mechanism with which transactions are validated is different. The higher speeds are already proven in the testnet, but the exact technical details can only be released after the patent is in "pending" status.

What are your predictions about patent approval?

At normal rate when should we expect it to be approved? I really want to hear details.

I joined the Cryptopia Discord yesterday and inquired with the mods there.

I heard back from one of them. He said that exchange wallets take a lot longer to sync because of the high number of transactions and that he would try to get back with me with another update.
