I would bet Ethereum!It grows faster I as could imagine.. And also so many ICO's that are using ethereum for the option to buy their tokens.
But lets wait and see..

I think bitcoin will remain to be top coin this year 2018 and it might take years before an altcoin overtake it. By that time, a new kind of cryptocurrency might emerge with better features than the present coins today. Ethereum have been one of the best virtual currency in term of market capitalization and has the best performance price gains. Climbing beyond $1000 is the highest gain of ethereum so far and some traders predicts that it will overtake bitcoin in the future. That prediction will remain to be seen as many more coins are being created and constantly flooding the market.

Ethereum rapidly increase as we compared it last year. I think it is time for the ethereum to move up than bitcoin. I guess also that the price of ethereum will continuously move upward that will lead it to the top 1 in list of cryptocurrency. No one can replace bitcoin as the king of all crypto currency even bitcoin price now is dump but bitcoin still remain number one strongest coin in the market,and second is the ethereum it's price growing faster and many traders and ICO using now this virtual currency because ethereum has a potential and great performance in the market. |

I still think that Bitcoin will take the #1 spot for this year. Although many alt coins are catching up quite fast, I don't believe 1 year is enough time for them to actually surpass Bitcoin.

For this year is said to be another good year crypto currency. The crypto king of 2018 has many names on the list and first one comes to my mind is Ethereum, Litecoin, Neocoin, IOTA, Bitshares, Monero, dash, XRB, Zcash, and Siacoin. Neocoin being a Chinese blockchain project already rising from past week and I am double sure that this coin which is one of my favourite is going to be the king of crypto coin in 2018. Even XRB is a good one to track as it has already proven its potential by giving us more than x10 time of price movement and i am sure that these two coins XRB and NEO are the top two contenders of being the king of crypto in 2018. |

yes same with me. ETH is currently very good in its development. it can be used as a supporter of ETH will be king in this year. let alone now a lot of altcoin which has a basic smart contract based Ethereum ,, it can support the rapid development of ETH. |

BTC will remain in its original position, ie No.1 as 'The King Of Crypto'. As for Ethereum, it isn`t possible to 'can' overtake bitcoin. I believe, ethereum is the best coin when compared to other coins, but only in its class as 'Altcoin'. So the proper title for ethereum is 'The King Of Altcoin'. Ethereum is an alternative coin that is widely used for a number of ICO projects, one of which is M O O N L I T E 'a Crypto-Currency Mining industry'.

Both are taking a big hit this week, but I still prefer Bitcoin, eth is making a lot of awareness because of their smart contract but still, people prefer the original one, but we'll see in the middle of this year, things could change drastically. |

Bitcoin will still dominate the entire Cryptocurrency market because Bitcoin is the king of crypto and no one can replace it. I think the price of Bitcoin in January 2018 is really low and I am willing to make a big investment in Bitcoin

ETH or no any other crypto will overtake bitcoin atleast for next few years as there is still strong community support for bitcoins despite huge fee and network congestion.
By marketcap bitcoin still have huge dominance.

We are still at the start of 2018 so it is hard to predict now itself who will be the king.For me bitcoin will be the king always and ethereum can be a good alternative option for bitcoin but it can never be able to reach the price of bitcoin.The next big coin in terms of price is BCH and It may die in 2018 itself.So bitcoin is my choice for the king of crypto in 2018.

What hit are you talking about? ETH is still far away from surpassing bitcoin. Perhaps it is the one who is going to get a hit and fall down like any other cryptocurrency. You are talking about a king who is recognized by many countries and still on the way to recognition.
Added to that, no one is going to recognize ETH because it is still unknown by many people. The only known cryptocurrency is bitcoin. I do not think the other altcoins will surpass bitcoin this year. Definitely not.
