 blockchain is just a social experiment,The more specimens you put in, the more likely you are to succeed.

No other coin can reach Ethereum's ecosystem scale

It's almost impossible for Bitcoin to fall from the top but I do believe Ethereum will continue to grow rapidly.

A little coin is known, they are quietly developed, their Blockchain technology is superior to both BTC and ETH, trading them up to 100 times faster than ETH. That is CMT co. I think they can go up dramatically next year. So I'm buying and holding them. CMT is the king of Cryptocurrency in 2018.

The position open is for the second, third and less, cause bitcoin remains the KING for 2018, and no coin can take that position anytime soon. ETH is the only coin close to that position, cause of it's widely used by other coins and companies, but still can't take the place of bitcoin.

There is always one king and Bitcoinis the King in this space, any Altcoins that would love to dethrone it will have to offer something great, I just believe BTC is what hold the space  together, it something happen to it then we will all ark our bag and say goodbyes.

Of course BTC. There is no altcoin without BTC. Right now (maybe for a couple of years) there is no blockchain without BTC. I don't mean blockchain technology is not available, cuz btc is the voice of blockchain and ALTs. We all withnessed last 2 months. All alts just got rekt with btc's movements...

Among the alts and analogies can not be. Ether even in spite of a huge drop will still remain in the lead, but it is already worth considering that many coins are not so far from it and are able at any moment to throw off the throne. So we are waiting for the coup of the whole market next year.

I think Bitcoin is still the leading coin in the Crypto market in 2018. Nothing makes Bitcoin fall sharply and other altcoins go up. When Bitcoin falls, other altcoin decreases. And I think from all altcoin nothing can surpass the bitcoin price. Because bitcoin is the parent of all altcoin.

bitcoin is still the best for me. no one can beat it in this year, or even for a long time. bitcoin community still bigger than ethereum although both have a huge community which always increases every time.

For me bitcoin won't fall and it will be king forever. Etherum is a coin that will be trying to catch bitcoin but it will be on second place, but don't be worry cause those two coins on first and second possition making market possible to invest for me and they are making movements of other alts in some way.

Well so, I would bet Ethereum!It grows faster I as could imagine.. And also so many  ICO's that are using ethereum for the option to buy their tokens.
But lets wait and see.. be patient.

You are not serious? There is no doubt that Ethereum is a potential coin and the best among altcoins but you are forgetting about bitcoin for sure. just look at the initial and final year value of bitcoin for 2017 and then compare it with those of Ethereum. If you are not a blind admirer of ETH, you will definitely change your mind. Believe me, even bitcoin cash can return more profits than ETH.

If our basis is the coinmarketcap dominance then no other coin has the possibility to dethrone Bitcoin. The popularity of bitcoin will always there and this proves that after the downfall at the bottom of $6k it's now climbing slowly to reach $10k. ETH could be the best challenger but it's not enough to beat bitcoin for this year. Maybe in the coming years. Let's find out.

It depends on what is meant by King; if by Re author thread intends percentage growth then bitcoin probably will not be the King in 2018, just as it was not in 2017 (about x10 while about x100 about Xrp and Eth).

The growth in listing is very different from the growth and adoption of mainstream, from its use and real use in the real world.

The popularity and the brand as someone says can always change or be lost, just as its dominance is falling; one day the other coins will no longer be coupled to the exchange rate in Btc and will no longer have all this correspondence with it.
