I dont think I will be dealing with then using my bitcoin.
But if it is true then it will be a good advertisement for bitcoin.
Fans of KFC or chicken lovers might see it and will try to transact using it too.
It will somehow help hype the value.

I'm not gonna pay for fried chicken with bitcoin, period, unless I'm starving and have no fiat in my ppcket, bank, or hidden under the mattress.  I'm not exactly the definition of a hodler, but it strikes me as a big waste to buy something with bitcoin that's going to end up in the septic tank.  Makes sense, right?

The other thing is that it's totally impractical, with the outrageous fees and confirmation times. That's going to be some seriously cold chicken after 1 confirmation--and I can pay with fiat for free.

It is not literaly buying fried chicken with bitcoin. What kfc wants to do is to let investors have a share in their business through a blockchain just like buying a franchise of kfc through bitcoin. Though it is just a fraction of the shares of their market investing in blockchain makes them evade some of the taxes they are going to pay to the government.

This is a good news because there a lot of people who patronizes KFC all over the world. This could be a big boost not just to KFC but also to the cryptocurrency world.
Well this is a good opportunity to endorse bitcoin not also in KFC but to other fast food chains or restaurants. As a customer of KFC, this is really a good news to me because it will be convenient and helpful to use bitcoin as a money to pay for my meal. This will truly make other people who loves KFC use bitcoin and invest in it.

I would really do love if KFC would accept bitcoin, as I do always eat at kfc and doesn't want to bring steal-able wallets and fiats in public places, as I always have my phone alone with my pocket everytime I go roam around.

Well it is not just about KFC but also for other fast food restaurants in our world. This would be a good one since the transaction can be as fast as they want and so, they can accommodate much more customer because of it but since it will took time, like they will have a research or study before implementing it to them.

I do not think KFC accepts payment by bitcoin. Simply because the cost of payment is too high. You can not buy a chicken thigh but the price is $ 20 and need 3 days to confirm

it is not about the time of Confirmation but you will buy 20$ a package of fried chicken plus 5$ for bitcoin transaction fee. lol
I hear what you're saying... but this acceptance of Bitcoin in the mainstream with the likes of KFC can only be a good thing yes?
in my side, it will make me easier to buy a package of fried chicken, whenever i don't have enough cash money i can pay kfc for its fried chicken package with bitcoin. it is interesting.

This will be good in bulk orders or party celebration in which the need to pay big amount because i wonder how much we will going to pay in a single order only in which i think it will be become more expensive because of flat charge in which need to pay for the miners. Anyway, this is a good development in which a famous fast food chain did recognize bitcoin currency.

if anyone wants to buy a piece of chicken in kfc with bitcoin ... that person is the dumbest ... because why would we buy conventional goods using bitcoin if we use a dime we can afford to buy it ... so make what to do with bitcoin to buy one piece of chicken in KFC

Well, if KFC would accept Bitcoin worldwide it would have a huge impact, but as long as this is only some KFC's in Canada I dont see that change much. However I dont think that many people will make use of this service as long as Bitcoin transactions are so slow and fees are that high. Maybe with lighning network released this can be an option, but before that, I dont think so.

Actually I think it's a PR trick, but they may also look unto the future where we will not have physical money and use bitcoins only:)

Seeing as their business is based on an on demand model I see it a little difficult to implement based on the fees and confirmation time.
No confirmations/high network congestion = payments that can be double spent.
I'm not sure if they've really thought this through properly.
When it comes to fees in the current status of the market and the trend of transaction we could all see the big hindrance it could give to future transaction using bitcoin on business in terms of buying things, food or services. I think the developer of bitcoin also need to implement a good system in terms of implementing a good and stable fee system on each transactions.

Can't wait until it will be accepted worldwide. The KFC bucket has a fair price of 0.001 bitcoin and that amount is easil earned as of now since bitcoin is low roght now. But, how will KFC shifts their price with respect to the value of bitcoin?

Well this is a positive indication for bitcoin. KFC is one of the world food chain that you can see around the globe, this will encourage other merchant also to open their beliefs in bitcoin and started accepting bitcoin by means of payment.

Yes they have showed some signs and tweeted about it saying "bitcoin bucket" but this is not good as transaction fees are high and spending them on for chicken pieces is not a good option rather it will cost more and loss of stored btc.

I won't use my bitcoins just to pay some fast foods like KFC. Bitcoin now is like a gold for me, so many risk methods to do just to pay an order. Its always better to pay with our pocket money than to make shit transactions just feed our tummy. A fried chicken is only worth like transaction fee's now a days. Maybe KFC doing this just for their own interest to collect bitcoins and that is the easiest way that they could think, because the owners of it, already knows the value of bitcoin when it hits 50k dollars in 2020.
