food merchants that receive bitcoin as a means of payment not only kfc in indonesia also in bali area there is a restaurant that accept bitcoin payment. and that's been a long time. in my opinion kfc movement is very fatal for bitcoin users because it will only lure the tax officers to investigate his company and make regulators banking will pay more attention to bitcoin.

Good news. It shows an increasing adoption of the new technology driven by blockchain and bitcoin. I read somewhere that is already being accepted by KFC in India I think. That makes sense and a sign of positivity in the crypospace.

I would not use my bitcoin just to buy KFC or pizza, because the price would be very expensive, I'd better use the bitcoin I have, to buy something more useful for my life.

Hahaha! Accept or not it is still good to eat in KFC. But maybe it will be also a good option to pay for your food in KFC in an easiest way and also to be one of those who own bitcoin that is paying on restaurant like that. Making you popular.  LOL. It can be possible if they have an option in all wallets available in bitcoin wallet.

KFC did not do its research well. Bitcoin is has very tx fees, and bitcoiners would not likely to use bitcoins for this small transactions. KFC should accept ETH or other altcoins instead.  Wink

I'm not interested to use bitcoin for shopping purpose. I'm only concentrate in training and trying to promote bitcoin. In my point of view using cryptos for shopping is against the investment idea.

With just small transactions it is hard for us to make transaction when we are buying kfc or other fast food chains, I think it is not practical nowadays and the cost of the blockchain fee is really breaking our heart, but they can make bitcoin as their company's investment but not for daily transactions.

It is really good news to hear that the famous KFC is accepting Bitcoin as a payment. Now we are seeing real value of bitcoin by exchanging bitcoin for real products. Once everyone major company started accepting bitcoin as a payment then every other small companies will follow the same.

Yes they have showed some signs and tweeted about it saying "bitcoin bucket" but this is not good as transaction fees are high and spending them on for chicken pieces is not a good option rather it will cost more and loss of stored btc.
Even if this will happen in my country I will not pay bitcoins for some KFC chickens because of the high fees, I think they should switch to doge coin for better and much reasonable fees and make the name "DogeCoin Bucket" this will be really awesome. Grin

It seems like speculation to me but anyway even if it would be real new I wouldn't like that. Blockhain is born as act against corrupted capitalist economical system. I really hope those big chains be away from cryptos.

Wow that is actually good news for bitcoin, but the fees are killing me lol. They should just use litecoin or some other crypto for payments, bitcoin is now like a store of value the fees are sooo high I cant stand them

When I read that on Twitter I thought KFC Canada account get hacked and the hacker took the time to make some fancy image Cheesy Turned out it was real. I don't even know using Bitcoin as a payment system in Canada is already legal, is it true?

Hope this is not just a one time gimmick from them, but rather a major step to cryptocurrency mainstream acceptance.

This is not practical. Buying meal in fastfoods are meant to be paid with fiat money. Bitcoin is for business world and is not meant for buying you cheeseburgers, groceries and such. You will just waste your bitcoin if you use it to buy those kind of things. I have also heard that Mcdo will accept bitcoin and I have the same point of view.
For someone who bought their Bitcoin, this might be true, but what about the miners who only have Bitcoin, and not dollars? They need to eat too! I use my Shift card and it sells some of my Bitcoin from Coinbase whenever I go to get fast food, and I can choose whatever place I like (POPEYES-way better then KFC) and I don't pay fees doing it this way. The other option is to use my Bitpay card (Visa also) but that one I have to sell some amount of Bitcoin and pay a fee to move it to the Bitpay card. I usually move over a couple hundred dollars at a time, but after I get on my feet the rest of the way, it will be 500-1000 at a time.
