I think it's too early to say. I think the competitive advantage ETH has over most altcoins is its tech. So, ETH will definitely be around for some time in the future and I don't think the one altcoin that will surpass ETH is out yet.

Hey guys,
I have a question that i guess most of you are asking. What's after Ethereum?

I mean, back in the day we had MIRC, ICQ, Hi5, MSN messenger...etc and then came Facebook.
Yahoo to be wiped over by google, Apple and Samsung wiping Nokia.. you get the drift.

A platform where everything maybe in 10 years will be built upon. Ethereum will be there but it'll be the ancestor of Dapps blockchain platforms.

What do you think will be next big thing? (Too bad we don't have a time machine!)

Yeah,it is possible that some coin will surpass the value of ethereum or bitcoin in future if it had the great demand.Because the price of bitcoin is determined by the supply and demand.But it will be hard to get that demand already ethereum reached the many people but other altcoin needs years to get recognized by people.

Hi! IMHO Etherium has not yet fully exhausted its potential. Most likely, the future of the development of the user API.

I think that there will surely be something new and interesting. Time goes the technology develop and change. And now besides the Etherium there are interesting coins in which there is potential.

I think Ethereum is going very good and it is really hard to guess the best altcoin after ethereum. I think the coins which have good potentials are: IOTA, Waves and Monero.

The "next thing" after Ethereum will be Ethereum version 2. ETH being more than just a programming platform is so encompassing that literally almost anything can be built on it. If there will be anything further, it will be based on Ethereum's original design and will continue its legacy. All the other coins seem to be profit oriented but ETH was designed with a specific purpose. I am very optimistic ETH will last.

There are already more than a thousand cryptocurrencies right now. And of these numbers, hundreds are also added in a few months duration. This will become more complicated as soon as the more advanced versions of the present cryptocurrencies will be offered in the market. There will be many more options and alternatives in the comings months and eventually the best cryptos in the market today will become obsolete. But for now, Ethereum is still the ruling coin in the alternate cryptocurrencies.

You should definetely check out ArcBlock it is a new ico it can be blockchain 3.0. You can also look at the PoA which can be also competitor to ethereum, with it proof of consensus algorithm!

I think a lot of good potential coins today, but to predict what coins after etherum is very difficult and need accurate accuracy and see the development of the market every time. because eth is currently still one of the coins with the strongest position in cryptocurrency we can trust eth will have potential

There are lots of coins in the market that has a lot of potential and can grow big in an instant. But, in my own opinion, I am thinking of Litecoin and NEO. These are good coin and who knows, it may even surpass ethereum in the future. However, as of the moment, let us first enjoy the advantage given by eth and maybe, just maybe, it might fly us to the moon, soon.

i got your point about etherium, but for me at the moment i still believe in progress of etherium
this vitalik will do anything he can to make this coin keep growing
i hope any new upgrade to the blockchain, it need lighning transaction and lower fee

Well, as you must know - the Etherium is not perfect, it has many shortcomings. For example, if an error occurs in some part of the system, everyone will suffer. Because of this, there are risks. And if a coin appears that will be the same as the Etherium, and can fix all its shortcomings, it can easily replace it in the future.
