I follow an expert from a telegram channel, a few experts from twitter, read forum sentiments and do my own research then comes the decision which is my own.

For me i will choose thru the best known campaign managers with no negative trust. Campaign managers will do the most research about the ICO before he accept the task of handling the campaign because their reputation is at stake that if they handle a bad ICO it will reduce their good ratings but if the ICO is successful many participants will going to join because they trust the campaign manager.

I usually check coinschedule to keep an eye on upcoming projects. Then I go on the official sites, take a thorough look at their mission, idea, whitepaper, etc. Then I research reviews about such projects - is the company behind the ICO credible? Has somebody else considered this as a worthy investment?, etc. Also, read a lot of threads, posts, and telegram posts regarding such upcoming hidden treasures. However, always stay critical and objective.
For example, so far, I have invested in the following:
1. Swissborg - a very well-done ICO project (wealth tech), offering Swiss-made crypto investment solutions to the world
2. LiveEdu - an ICO project promoting learning in an innovative way

Nevertheless, I'm currently doing a research on the following ICO: Giftz.io. As far as I know, the company behind it (Giftz) is a loyalty and rewards bringing company to the Blockchain. They recently formed an alliance with BlockV (a preeminent ICO company) and are releasing a rewards token that will be used across different brands.

Any thoughts on that? Is this a reliable project or not?

It's very tough to just look through there and finding a coin that can make a lot of money from just a single investment.

You'd have to only use that as a single source out of many.

Depends on how you'll be using the info, are you looking for a promising ICO and join it's bounty campaign?
or looking for one to invest.

'Cause if you'd like to join promising ICOs bounty campaign,
Look for a trustworthy bitcointalk campaign manager, usually they run a very legit and promising ICOs bounty campaign.
You could also check if that campaign has it's own escrow for it's bounty pool or it's ICO.
That's a good sign.

If you're in it to invest, they you gotta look and investigate deeper.
For starters, you can scan and check the posts in this section: Altcoin Anns
You could also check tokenmarket, coinschedule, and many others.
Those sites usually give their own reviews for each ICOs.

Usually I stumbled many ICO everyday do my own research for that specific coin and when it pass my standards I invest some to it. also you can  have afriend advisor Just If you’re looking for real financial advice and you have quite a bit of money to handle, a face-to-face advisor will be much better at explaining things about specific and promising ICO.

Also telegram , I like conversing to different type of their although some are plain nonsense. There are also some Ico ratings you can look into but most of them are sponsored by different ico they promote. good luck it's better to do your own research

Try to sense the community if they are supporting the project or not. If the community is actively showing a trust in it then probably the coin has future. Also, I try to look for flaws if I found something that is not right then I will not go for it.

Aim of ICO is relic or not, this is my first point. Then I check ICO team if they are experienced or not.
Third one is their cap amount. For instance an ICO which has 50m cap before ICO stage finished, can be a reasonable ICO : )

Well read all about the ICO in which you are interested and also see whether the ICO team is experienced or inexperienced which does makes a difference.Know about it hard cap value, their targets, total number of supply and people's opinion about the ICO.This much is enough to know about wheter the ICO is good or not.

Best place is to just look through this forum. I haven't found a better place so far.

You can use ICO reviewing sites like ICOreview, but only use them as a tool to find ICOs, don't invest because they say one is good.

Yeah, it is a good project, please read their whitepaper carefully before investing. I invested in them and I do not regret, I believe the loyalty and rewards area really needs a blockchain based product.

For ICOs the best tip is to always read a lot before buying, I usually look for ICOs that will start in the next few days and read their whitepaper twice, search everything about the team and then evaluate if it is worth the investment or not.

What pages, channels, blogs etc?
My first investigation about any ICO starts from their own website and from their own setup. I first visit their website and read each and everything which they provide. I observe that is that possible which they are offering and I also read their whitepaper to ensure the benefits for the investors and to find the struggle of the team members for the project. I also believe on those type of projects which have a great benefit to the crypto world as I know these type of projects are more accepted and after that the demand of their assets increases.

Ya, this also contributes but you should know that sometimes the campaign managers may not know that an ICO is a scam, so it shouldn't be their fault if an ICO is scam or not neither unsuccessful. Some scam ICO may even use a good or popular Campaign manager to get what they want. So it is better to make a personal research and read their white paper properly.
