China not only became the largest consumer of bottled water in 2013, overtaking the U.S in the process, it also eclipsed the U.S. bottled water market in 2015, with a market size of $16.4 billion, $2.8 billion more than the U.S. A forecast from China Daily estimates China’s bottled water industry to grow up to 49 billion liters by 2020.
