Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

It doesn't automatically get placed onto your profile: you have to enable it.
Then, you go back to the page: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote
and use the drop-down menu.
That is, if you did pay it. The amount you sent in that transaction confuses me. Right now, it's showing me that copper memberships are ~.002 BTC. I'm assuming the larger amount is sent to the change address. Did you send a payment for units of evil beforehand?

Did you send a payment for units of evil beforehand? Yes, I did.

After that the page advised me to send $2.62 USD to below BTC
Wallet 12stycepBdGQbFz6uCcscfui7EqWcRxBNs  (which I did)

However, when I refreshed the page the data it's outputting does not match... Like why does it say a different wallet address now and why is it asking for more now?

Bitcoin Forum > Paid memberships
You can pay a one-time fee in order to increase the capabilities of your account. Be warned that:

You can still be banned if you break the rules. You will not get any special treatment.
These memberships are not guaranteed to last forever, or to offer the same benefits forever.
No refunds will be given.
Available paid memberships:

Copper - 0.00171173 BTC
: Allows you to post images even if you are a newbie, reduces the time-between-actions limit, and provides some of the same benefits as being of natural Member rank.
You have paid a total of 0.00037160 BTC. This is reflected in the above prices. (To get the normal price, add this amount to the above prices.)

Pay to the Bitcoin address 1AZxxJ5fGZnzAgx7qyL7xRYbcFXXdksKY8. Once your transaction has 1 confirmation, revisit this page and then use the form which will appear in order to wear your new membership. Your transaction will not be registered until it has 1 confirmation. Bitcoin network fees and exchange/wallet withdrawal fees will not count toward your payment.

We are commonly asked how we know that you sent a payment. The address above was newly generated just for you, so when any BTC is sent to it, we will know to credit it to your account. It is all automatic.

I see two transactions from you, both for 0.00018580 BTC. 0.00018580*2 = 0.0003716 BTC, which is less than the 0.00208333 BTC copper membership.

Ok, how much more do I need to send. Was your page outputting an error? I literally stared at it and asked for that much which is why i sent it. Had it said correct amount i would of paid that. These fees are killing me for sending payments to you guys.

and the errors on this site are costing me.

I think you added an extra zero by accident. Theymos just said that you paid 0.00018580BTC, and I know that one point, the cost was 0.00185800BTC, which is ten times greater than what you have paid. Based on your post, you need to pay what the site tells you, being 0.00171173BTC right now.

Does the copper account allow you to have signatures and an avatar or just image posts?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.0

By popular demand, newbies can now pay to have some of their restrictions lifted. If you pay the fee, you become a Copper Member, and you can post images. That's the main point of this: allowing newbies to post images. Additionally (and these might change depending on how things go), Copper Members currently have these bonuses:

- Some of the same permissions as Member-rank members, such as reduced signature styling restrictions. (But none of the PM-related restrictions are currently lifted, such as the style limit or per-hour PM limit.)
- Your "you must wait ____ seconds between ___" counter is reduced by 75%. So if you're naturally of Newbie rank, you only have to wait 360-75% = 90 seconds.

If you paid an "evil IP" registration fee, then whatever you paid (in BTC terms) is subtracted from the upgrade fee. If you paid a registration fee a long time ago, you might even get a free Copper Membership due to the increase in BTC price. Just visit the link at the bottom of this post to check whether you have it already.

I am aware that for most people the benefits of this membership are pretty lame. This membership is only intended to fill a specific niche; if you don't need it, don't buy it. It is not intended to be the lower-cost Donator/VIP alternative which I've talked about before as a possibility.

I wrote the system so that I can easily add additional paid memberships in the future, but I might not ever do so. Not sure.

You can buy it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

"Full Member" is needed for an avatar.

Hello there,

In my country the minimum bitcoin transaction is 0.01BTC. To purchase the copper membership I need to pay only 0.0021 BTC approximately. This is less than the minimum threshold, is there any way to work around this? Please advise.

Bitcoin is not a country specified currency that if anyone wants then they can put a special feature. You must be missing something. Are you trying to spend your BTC from any exchange?

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

Hello, so I'm trying to purchase the copper membership by sending 0.0021 BTC approximately to the BTC unique address specified in the link (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote) that theymos provided in a thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104). I have asked one of my colleagues based in China to make  the payment, however he says that the minimum btc transaction he can make is 0.01 BTC, therefore making the minimum transaction higher than the fee that needs to be paid to purchase the copper membership. Any advise?

Tell him/her to send that 0.01BTC to your BTCitcoin address (try "Electrum"), then send the exact amount by yourself.

Are you trying to spend your BTC from any exchange?
That's most likely the case...
