I think $500 is a good amount to invest in just one coin. In my opinion, ethereum, litecoin, bitcoin or IOTA might be good choices. Good luck! |

you can buy many altcoin you like in exchange like bittrex and poloniex as long as you have availabale BTC . you can search to google instructions how to use that exchange. |

If you good experience in analysing the ICO then you can invest in good project because after listing the ICO project more than what we expected. So better before investing g talk to the community how they reacts to the ICO and start investing in it.

I will suggest you buy Reddcoin, Ardor, Digibyte, and Lykke. These are coins that are still under $1 and based on what I've read these are examples of coins that will become big in the future. And $500 is a lot of money so buy many of these.

I would invest 150 in Ethereum just because its such a good coin that actually thinks about its problems and is making solutions for it.
50 in Electronium
50 in Verge
50 in Civic
100 in Current pre sale
and 100 in Cardano.
I think you will spread your risks and have some really decent coins in your portfolio.

Honestly $500 isn't much, if I were you I'd put half of into ETH/BTC and the other half pick a new ICO that you believe will do well and go for it. Puregold has caught my interest, but there are many others too.

If we talk about altcoins I can advise you to invest in bancor, I believe that with the growth of projects based on ERC20 it will become very popular and its price will raise more than 100$. But it's only my opinion  |
