My first $500, I split into 5 coins. Only 3 of them have worked out well. In the end, you have to watch coins carefully and do your own research. Find people who know what they're talking about and find solid coins that have good technical futures. I really like AELF right now. Worth looking at before it takes off.

Don't keep full 500$ in single coin. In cryptocurrency you have lot of options. It will vary on short and long term. If you are looking for short term you can inverse 300$ in bitcoin and rest 200$ in altcoin like Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero,Ripple and so on.
If you want to inverse for long term, inverse 200$ in bitcoin and rest in 300$ in altcoin.
In altcoin also you have lot of options to inverse.

I advise investing only in litecoin because it will certainly generate a lot of profit from on not used for anything at all. hold it for six months in the future for sure the result is big enough.

I think $500 is a good amount to invest in just one coin. In my opinion, ethereum, litecoin, bitcoin or IOTA might be good choices. Good luck!

You can invest half your $500 in bitcoins.

Look for an ICO investment. Investing is risky.

your choice will be your choice but if you own something like you own a car, and you really want to invest your 500$ into a realistic Project then i recommend yo to check and review VLB token, that token will serve as a utility token especially for data's transparency, I suggest this Project because it gains Trust when they have Start their first presale and the Cap wasn't reached because it was a little bit high but the great news is that they have refunded all the money they have collected and now come back with a realistic project with low cap, it's your choice but don't regret in the future. http://vlb.io/ Check if you are interested. don't miss.

Right now, I wouldn't invest anything anymore.

Pump and dump groups control the prices too much. And Bitcoin price controls all the altcoins....which also is bad.

I just leave my money where it is and HODL. Maybe something good will come out of it (by sheer luck).

A lot has to change and get better in crypto.

I advise you to look at the currently undervalued altcoins that cost less than $1-Verge, Cardano, TRON, Stellar. But, the most interesting and promising for investment coin for today I believe Ripple.

Try to invest in a couple of projects simultaneously and split the amount into 2-3 parts. It will be safer because you`ll have more chances that at least one of two or three projects will be successful and you will be able to earn  Smiley

XRP is what banks will be interested in....NOT Ripple. They will use this technology with their own currency and get rid of Ripple.

I think $ 500 is not enough for the initial investment. You can not assess the behavior of the market for this money

They only need the technology (XRP) for this NOT the coin (Ripple). It's the same with TenX and PAY....nobody needs the coin but the technology is interesting.

The price of the ETH is now very low. I can recommend you buy this coin for all your money. I am sure, that in 2-3 months the price of the ETH will be at least $2000. Many analysts say this. I fully agree with them.

I want to invest 500$ in an altcoin, can you help me pick one ??

If you are a newbie, I suggest that, before improving your knowledge on the cryptocurrencies, don't invest in ICOs. In addition to that, I think you can consider about ethereum, IOTA or NEO for your $500.
