The 'all or nothing' approach to decentralization will never win mass adoption.

Let's give people easy ways to progressively decentralize their workflows as much as they want, at the pace that they're comfortable with.

Throughout time, the Team has issued a few developer updates! here's a look back on the Electron App update:

https://medium.com/cardstack/developer-update-cardstack-electron-app-c6710aa55171
I always enjoy reading your updates. Loved this an Electron app solution. Will this one be automatically porting customers' web apps to desktop version? Might be something complex. Looking forward for hearing more.

Hi everyone, wanted to bring to your attention Chris’ vision for Web Dev 3.0 as described in our latest project update: https://t.co/CAiF91wzoT

Chris believes what will really unlock the potential of Web 3.0 is providing shared features and powerful tools to developers who are currently working in silos, repeating the same tasks for every project

He talks again about Cardstack's value proposition to developers at the very end: https://youtu.be/lHNEG2PYky0?t=2732

In a new blog published Monday, Chris goes into further detail about what Web 3.0 means to him: https://medium.com/cardstack/rethinking-the-web-3-0-experience-9b5fe508aa77

Apps are growing too small, giving us only a narrow set of features that don’t work with anything else.

how long will the bearish end? even though some projects announced something extraordinary,
but prices are still under ICO, especially Cardstack, it is very unfortunate

We've all heard predictions for when the bear market will end, but my personal opinion is that this won't happen until there is more clarity regarding regulations. As for Cardstack, it is less than ideal, but the team has always had the long term health of the project in mind. So even with the oppressive market conditions, the team is hard at work to develop and improve Cardstack. They are looking towards the future, and we hope you'll continue alongside us as we do!

From the Team, on Telegram:

Quote
We’ve got a busy one ahead of us: Cardstack’s development team is preparing to demo progress of the dotBC-Warner media rights management platform that’s going to be the 2nd use case of the Cardstack Framework, and Chris is on his way to Switzerland to attend the 2018 Global Hyperledger Forum
We’ll be sure to share updates here as soon as we hear them, so stay tuned for more

It’s common to talk about software “ecosystems” without stopping to think too hard about the metaphor. But the metaphor fits well — just like a living ecosystem, a healthy software ecosystem depends on creating the right preconditions and then reliably maintaining a supportive environment.

Let's wait for next year, how will the price of Bitcoin and ethereum in 2019 later,
if there is a bullish sign then you can buy Cardstack again

"... the blockchain will need to eat the software that ate the world. The dramatic influx of crypto-wealth into app tokens could provide just enough fuel for software to transform the world a second time within this decade. But success is not guaranteed. While smartphones and on-demand marketplaces spread throughout the world in the blink of an eye, there still remain many unanswered questions about whether, how, or when blockchain-based applications are going to gain mass-market adoption..."

The team seems to be working hard as usual but have they considered any scaling solutions that can be applied in the mid term until Ethereum hard fork is executed?
