It's real, and every 2nd week of January it occurs. I, too hope that the crash wouldn't stay for too long or this means that we enter a full bearish trend for the coming months. I basically have the same thoughts as you. This fall is real but it can't continue to fall at a pace that we've seen for the past few weeks. It's just not possible and the markets sooner or later will come to realise that bans issued by governments really have nothing to do with the actual transactions that are conducted on the bitcoin blockchain.

Well if you have noted the price graph of btc you could have realized that the price of the bitcoins are already falling. As far as i know, the decreasing or crashing of bitcoin's price is happening now. But we should keep in mind that this happening is inevitable to bitcoin. Sometimes it may crash but sometimes it may rise up. All we have to do is to wait and hold until the price of bitcoin goes to normal or even increase in a great amount. We just have to believe to the capabilities of bitcoin.

Every year half of the month shows the dump and other half is successful for all the bitcoin holders. I sold around 0.06 btc today for my personal expenses. After I sold today morning I saw decent bump in the price chart. Since this price recovery is good for the forum members and all the crypto users. Bitcoin fall for $6800 marked as of writing this and to say at least its really bearish market we are right now. It may good down hard but there's might indication maybe next month bitcoin will go up again and that's very good news to all holders and investors regardless of ETF approved or not next month.

13.5BTC is really a huge amount nowadays to but you made a good decision maybe it has been a long time that I have not heard or seen that such a huge amount of money is being traded from users here in forum or any other guy that I know which unfortunately deal only on deal under 1 bitcoin.
If you want my suggestion then I would suggest to split the budget and try the altcoin too, it maybe sounds unfamiliar to you but the altcoins is a huge market and with a high potential to earn a good profit but also to loose as there are many many project that are pretty good that have added many features that bitcoin does not have.

Sometimes it is actually real that the price falls but sometimes you are right it is manipulated and speculative. The price moves according to supply/demand and thats it, there is no other excessive regulations on top of it. There is no SEC to control or regulate the price. Hence, the price changes are never really looked into and we can't really trust how and why it happens.

For example, the other day there was a problem with tether and everyone was selling their tether and moving back to bitcoin which spiked the price up insanely and than it dropped back closer to what it used to be. Now, lets take a look at what could happen afterwards, someone who has tether literally can sell his tethers, get people to sell theirs too and when bitcoin hits high notes sell his bitcoin and go back to tether which eventually will go back to 1 dollar and make the double profit. Its really easy to manipulate the crypto market.

I agree that this was just a temporary situations, but it has a bad effects to other traders who happen to know crypto for the first time. Eventually they'll gaining knowledge through experience and not in a step by step trading activities with good movements. Hopefully everyone will benefit to that enjoyment after all, because once it happens many people will start putchasing bitcoin to fulfill their desires to have profit gains.

It might not be real then but now it is proving to be real.  The fall since January is very significant and we cannot deny this fact.  If bitcoin continue to fall at the rate we have seeing since January then I think we should sell and maybe rebuy low again.  Bitcoin is going to recover but that might be in 2019.

That's merely impossible mate, the government will always there to govern us and those stupidness that you're saying is those only for people who been making bitcoin as trial and error for them. Those people always think in a negative ways, and with government's side they're just fair enough to handle the fiat economy as long as regulations neutralized everything. More people will buy bitcoin and because of the speculations, it brings excitement for all the traders and yet they earn good profits from bitcoin to fiat cash.

It seems like the current stable situations which have been fluctuating here since the start of this year in between 6k dollar and 8k dollar but the gap is now limited to 6k and 6.5k dollar which is not a big gap.

The downfalls are due to demand rate as we were expecting better future and investors late in 2017 did not sell out as they were looking for some more increase but that did not happen and now conditions are not good for them but they have one solution that is to hold it for more time.

The great future is most definitely going to come as there is no doubt about it, the falling generally was due to the rate at which people got greedy and the whales decided to pack their bags at the peaks for a swift profit, and this is the reason why when a market is speculative in nature, things like this gets to happen.

Hopefully in the long run, when we get to see more adoption and real life usage, we will get to see demand increase hugely and that would directly be affecting the price of the market as well. We really need to throw out the greedy ones from the market at this stage honestly as they serve more destruction than good.

Sad to say but its real. Bitcoin is now below than 10k. But you should not worry about its price be patient and if you're true bitcoin lover you will never do panic sell.

Actually the demand can only increase if the investors are confident and there is no uncertainty in the market. Investors always try to do purchasing if they feel the environment safe for their investment, otherwise they will always try to remain calm and passive.

Different thoughts around the world about the future of bitcoin. In my point of view we should speculate better for the future of bitcoin and don’t be panic. Falling of the price is normal because it is crypto and we cannot anything about the coming situation of the market. What people want and think about bitcoin and what are their expectations from it fall in ambiguity, but patience and courage will take us in better situations.

What we see on bitcoin's status is just temporary and yet, it remains stagnant for now hovering at 6,300$-6,400$ most of the time. I really hope that the OP did not did what he posted because if he did then he is losing a massive amount of money, and in my experience those that are the ones that are the most motivated are also some of the ones that get discouraged very easily because they let their emotions do the trading which means that he probably sold his coins for a loss a he will never recover the money again.
