Today is when eth forks right? If people were buying in hopes of getting the fork coins, the price might actually drop. Doubt it will go very far though. Maybe closer to its previous value around $800.

Not sure about today, because I've not seen anything about the result of this fork coin. But i won't believe this will make ethereum drop a lot.  People are holding their ethereum caused by the hybrid system will be implemented in this year. people are betting a lot on it.

The price could go to $2,000 in late August. The price looks a little young, it needs to mature before going to new heights.

Even you'll not look to it's chart on this date but look the charts of 2017. From two digits to four digits at the end of 2018 and I won't doubt it if it will give us a good blow and surprise that it will be at $1,500 first and will be breaking $2,000 at the end of this year.

I am looking forward that Ethereum will reach new all time high price this year something like 2000 US dollars, let's claim it. But I am not aware of this new ETH fork coin. My vote goes to ETH too as my second cryptocurrency after Bitcoin, I can see the trend of its value increasing every year.

Ethereum devs are thinking about cwitching to PoS. They will also make users make a deposit to  be sure that no one will try to perform 51% attack or some other things. And ofc more profit will get moners with larger amount of ETH. Just imagine how the demand will grow if ethereum will switch to PoS. Even multiple growtj is possible.

I must have been hiding under a rock the last few days as I am not aware of this new ETH fork that was mentioned, will need to have a look, also POS I am not sure if this will be a good thing for ETH but it will bring more attention and more holders, maybe now is also a good time to pick up some ETC.

I think before end this year ethereum will hit 2k. This will be a big break for ethereum. Ethereum small fees is an advantage.  And most ICO nowadays is ethereum base.

Well, Ethereum is still a candidate for a Bitcoin "replacer". It is getting it's general acceptance, so more and more people from outside of crypto world connect this expression to Ethereum as well and not solely Bitcoin anymore. It's market cap is at 1/2 of a Bitcoin, so to expect it to rise 2x during 2018. is not such a long stretch. It is yet to be seen where Bitcoin will end though - 1/2, 2x, 3x, 5x? Will the cap for Ethereum come mainly from outside or from Bitcoin market?

Last year this bump is reached more on bitcoin and it was reached almost 15k USD and more in end of 2017 but again from this year starts all the cryptos dumping completely and down almost half of the value when it was in the last year.
This year is good for ethereum I think so we may find the ethereum value alone reached to 2k USD in the end of this year. Last year alone ethereum it scored around 360 percent growth in the market.

Ethereum, the best of altcoins is now going to give us game changer card. ETH is having potential to grow more than 2000 USD this year because it has already grabbed the attention of big investors. For investors the only thing that matters is getting profits and that too as much high as possible. Everyone knows that bitcoin is facing issues regarding the scale up and segwit is making really slow. This will restrict the growth of market as fast as it did last time. So for now onwards ETH would be major focus for everyone. I think its going to be fun to watch ETH grow big as it is our chance to earn big.
