Bad news! Sad

It looks like TerraMiner #3 is dead.

I haven't checked the stats in about a day or so and when I did I noticed Miner #3 not mining.

Tried to log in via ssh nada, tried to log in via http nada.

Ok- manually rebooted.

No lights but PSU fires.

Swapped power cables and tried again.

Same thing- fans turn on but no LEDS or access via browser.

Swapped cables with a working miner (and swapped outlets that I was plugging into just to verify) - still nothing.

Emailing Cointerra for a support now hopefully they can give us some tips to get it working so we do not have to RMA this =\.

I will keep you guys posted once I receive a reply from CT.

Thanks for the update WH, hopefully they pay for the RMA but if not we will have to divided the cost.
THanks again Smiley

I wish they didn't have a sticker closing the case/lid - I want to take a look inside but that would void the warranty.

I'm hoping/assuming they will send us a prepaid shipping label from UPS, I will be demanding one anyway. This is a TON of downtime if we have to RMA it and i'm more than certain there would be no way WE would have to pay for it.

I shot the email(s) to Cointerra, just awaiting a reply for now. Will keep you guys updated.

any updates on miner #3 Smiley

FYI-

wizkid (Eligius pool operator) has been struggling all week with fighting a DDOS attack. Miners have been jumping around and also not showing correct data on the stats. He has stated to ignore all stats and just to verify hashing via cgminer. We're still accepting shares and bouncing between 1.3THs and 1.6THs but as far as the website and stats those will look off until wizkid is able to counter the DDOS.

btw: Do we have any failover pool configured?

It sure seems to be lately. I've been having to reboot more than regular and notice hash rates slowly drop after a couple of days. This could be the firmware from a week ago. All settings are the same and temps are good. I hope they don't pull a TerraMiner 3 and need an RMA  Undecided

Could you fallback to previous firmware release?
From statistics view - current firmware is terrible...

would mining other more profitable coins (eg on multipools) and selling them for bitcoin make sense? I believe this would be more profitable for us.

Well, stats are having issues per Eligius, their stats system isn't properly working right now due to an all week long DDOS attack.

Waldo,
and what about these two extra Terraminers - as gift for December orders?
(it was planned for March delivery, if I good remember...)

During the RMA process I asked about them at they stated would be out early April (and not end of march). Just shot them an e-mail asking about it. I actually sent them an e-mail a couple of days ago regarding shotty performance from the RMA unit (which right now isn't hashing, I'm T/S now) and I have not heard back yet, so still waiting on that.

Waldo,

I think there is the best time to start strongly insist for sending you brand new #3 Terraminer then,
and you will send them "repaired", RMA'ed already item immediately after receiving new one
- cause we don't agree for such a waste of time again... (I mean: no f... way)

P.S.
And because we are waiting for two extra Terraminers,
so the condition for sending them - would be the immediate return of crappy #3,
just after receiving new #3 item, for example

I think such agreement should be OK for Cointerra.

Payouts have been made all, sorry for the delay.  When I'm back in office I'll double-check everything again, but I'm limited to the time I can get work done and wanted to get these out asap. They should start hitting wallets sometime today when the scrypt re-runs.

Waldo,

Tuesday 22.04.2014: USD/BTC aprox. 500usd.,

300usd / 500usd = 0.6 btc, not 0.7btc

We are punished that you are late?

Buddy, relax i'm sure waldo will take care of anything that is out of place like he always has.

I wish all previous payment inconsistencies until now were not happened. I wish no necessity to indicate them...

For me is obvious, that someone can't be lossy because exchange rate is worse than in right time, due to my being late.
Such simple thing, buddy.

฿.1 BTC has been sent out to each TerraMiner for additional payouts. Dividends should trickle out shortly sometime today.

Edit: Additionally, I received a reply regarding the 2 bonus miners and they should arrive before end of month (end of week?). No tracking info has been provided as of yet. Hopefully they do not have the same issues as TerraMiner #3!

and what about Miner #2:
http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/12ndhaAT4Pbv3gNDZNg3PUiUGG16PB2sGr
Huh

can we fallback to first release of Cointera software - when Miner #1 and #2 were quite stable?
