This is my worst investment dev don't care about this project still no progress made to provide some relief and attract to the new people towards this. If this will continue with this pattern soon it will disappear from the scene. It is almost 99% down as compare with ICOs price and still no peace in this side. Currently active exchanges like Hitbtc has no attraction from big investors.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

News & Updates

Hello everyone!
We haven’t discussed Faceter with you recently, but it’s all for good reason. We have come a long way in terms of creating a new product, the functionality of which hasn’t been developed before. This is a very time-consuming process that requires full commitment and the use of all possible resources. But now we have something we can’t wait to share with you!
But first we will answer perhaps your most popular question:

What’s up with the Faceter App?
Apple users can go to the App Store and download the Faceter application right now. This version of the application will allow to test all of the features of Faceter app. Later, this opportunity will appear also for Android users.

For those of you who just want to see how the application works without downloading it, we have prepared a short video.

In this video you can see how convenient the application is, as well as how easy it is to work with video stream and archives in the Faceter application. You can easily switch between dates and cameras, select the desired video segments and save or send it. You can also go to full-screen mode or zoom in on any frame.
As you may know, we’ve also launched a beta test and you can join testing here.

Development
Those who have been with us for a long time will probably remember that initially, in the MVP, all the functionality of Faceter was contained in one application. However, at the beginning we set ourselves a very ambitious goal: to make Faceter convenient and useful for very different people and industries, including businesses, manufacturing, private users, etc. The more we developed the product, the more we realised that our initial understanding of the product required significant improvement in order to reach our goal.

We worked with hundreds of cameras and dozens of manufacturers. We knew about all the chaos in the market, about the complete absence of a single principle of operation, and about a huge number of errors in the protocols with which cameras work. Eventually we came to the conclusion that in order for us to be able to scale the product and to make it truly convenient it’s not the best application that we need, but the best ecosystem in which each product solves a separate task. By combining them into a system, we will get the Faceter that we have been planning to create.

For the user this does not change anything, but outside of their smartphone or web browser there will now be a large, well-structured mechanism. After months of planning, today we are able to reveal some of the details concerning its structure:

The first part is the Video Surveillance Server by Faceter. It connects and collects audio and video streams from cameras, maintains an archive, provides API access to the archive and to the cameras. It also transfers data to mobile apps.

The second is Face Recognition by Faceter, which is a recognition server and analytics system. It connects to the video archive and analyzes the video / audio streams stored there.

Look out for more exciting product announcements in the near future on the entire Faceter ecosystem, how the miners and users of the service will interact, and how and why it will be as convenient as possible. We’re working very hard on development at the moment, and we promise to keep you all updated throughout each step of this exciting process.

What’s new
Now for a little more about our achievements in the development of Faceter. Our team have been tirelessly working on improving the Faceter video surveillance platform, with a focus on stability and performance. We’ve had a lot of positive feedback from our first testers and customers, and we’ve worked really hard to make sure our product is as user-friendly as possible. Here are some of Faceter’s cutting-edge features:

Motion recognition and smart video recording
Faceter now only records a video when a movement has been recognized.

This will significantly reduce the data storage. Just imagine how much less space you’ll need to store video data! This feature makes it much more convenient to record at night or to activate video surveillance of the warehouse, for example.

Work with the archive
This the feature we are most proud of, as it has not been implemented in such a useful way in any other product we’ve come across so far. In the video below, you can see how fast and easy it is to interact with the video archive.
You can navigate to any point in the timeline without having to wait for it to load. Instead you have a whole video canvas, and you can instantly switch to any frame from the archive. Isn’t that fantastic?

Sound recording
Moreover, in the near future Faceter will be able to record audio in AAC format to the archive and play it on mobile clients. However, don’t forget to make sure your camera supports this particular format first.

Faceter.io update
Soon we will update the website with a personal account and a demo version of the web application, giving you an opportunity to try it out on your desktop.

Don’t forget to stay in touch, and follow us on Twitter, Facebook & Reddit for more exciting updates.

Yours,
The Faceter team

Launching Faceter Fog: Try Facial Recognition Now For Free

Facial Recognition for everyone — that was the motto many of you have heard from us. And now Faceter is launching a Community Preview version of the fully functional Faceter fog client for everyone to try Facial Recognition with no additional equipment needed. Get your PC and Smartphone ready to make a test! Important: We do not take any fees during community preview, so you can get premium features like Facial Recognition for free if you use your own hardware.

What is a Community Preview?

The main purpose of releasing a Community Preview version is to gather feedback from you and verify that Faceter fog client is deployable on various hardware configurations.

This version is limited to display analysis results (recognitions & detections) only locally through the web interface of the node. This interface is not designed for use in production and will be replaced with Faceter apps for CCTV.

Any comments are welcome at our Telegram Chat or at support@faceter.io, if you are tech-savvy you can post an issue directly on GitHub and our IT-guys will help you.
Below is the picture that you get on your PC after installation right now.

What do I get?

Fully functional Faceter fog client with all the main features is available for you to test and enjoy your own version of Hi-end technology with Face Recognition, Age & Gender Detection. Deploy it on your hardware to participate in our network.

Where do I get it?

Check out our website at fog.faceter.cam for more information on the Faceter fog client and the idea we have under the Fog usage for drastic price reduction of our product to make it affordable for homeowners and business owners around the world.

Does the technology already work?

The development of Faceter fog network is divided into a number of stages. We are now at Stage 0. Yes, it’s not a typo, stage zero. It is created to see how the system works, if the end-user clearly understands why the fog is needed and wants to be the one who sells his computational capacity to Faceter users at further Stages.

Being at the stage of Community Preview, we can already experience the fully functional Faceter fog client, although the interface is not as fancy as it will be on future stages.

You set up a camera using Faceter Phone (Faceter Phone Introduction) and download the fog client to your computer, launch it and the magic begins: you start to see recognized faces in the client interface. So yes, the technology and algorithms designed for Face Recognition and Age Detection are already working.

Do you have a video?

Oh, yeah! We’ve made one with our CEO Robert Pothier who is introducing the Faceter fog client.

How do I contact you?

We have created a 24/7 Telegram Chat  and are consistently maintaining it for over a year. Here you can chat, ask us questions or share your suggestions with the team. Starting from today, we will be inviting our developers to the chat to answer the questions regarding Faceter fog client, its installation and launch. Also, you can always write to us on Facebook or email support@faceter.io.

Stage 1 Faceter Fog Release: Share Your GPU And Get Rewarded With Face

It is the end of December and everyone wants Christmas and New Year’s presents. Our team has prepared one for you, as we promised you before and we are excited to announce it today!
With your help, we have successfully passed the Community Preview version tests, fixed all known bugs, gathered reports on user navigation and usability of our interface, software compatibility with your hardware and now are ready to launch the fully functional and ready to download, Faceter Fog client.

WATCH VIDEO

What is Stage 1 Version?

The main purpose of Stage 1 Version release is to give miners the ability to empower the mass market with a powerful fully functional and deployable Faceter Fog client which provides facial recognition and age detection, supports multiple cameras, integrates with Faceter CCTV Apps and utilizes tokens as a means of payment for miners’ computational capacities.
This version is an intermediate between the clients who need video recognition services and miners who are ready to provide power capacities for this analysis.

For the sake of transparent and instant communication between the home/business owners and miners, we have created the computing power exchange, where miners can register their nodes and set the price for 1 min of video analysis.

How to use the Fog?

Clients instruction:

1. Connect your cameras to Faceter using a mobile App.
2. To manage cameras, enter your account in your browser at https://cloud.faceter.cam/public/signin/.
3. In the settings section, select the face recognition control panel.

4. Top up your balance with Face tokens on the exchange to pay miners services.
5. Choose a camera you want to activate facial recognition on and choose a suitable miners’ offer to proceed.

6. In several minutes after facial recognition is activation, you will see in your account an icon showing facial recognition is ongoing. Right now this option is only available in your web account. We are working to add it into mobile applications as well Smiley.

Miners instruction:

1. Register using an email address and confirm registration following the link in your email.
2. Install the Faceter Fog Client on your hardware. Full instructions can be found at GitHub. Every node will be given an ID and a key.
3. During installation, you need to specify your account Fogger ID and Node ID. If everything is done correctly your node will appear in the list on the website.

4. Set up an order with a price for 1 min of video analysis.

How does it work?

When a client and a miner creates a contract between each other, Faceter will use the miner’s computing power to run the neural networks in order to detect and recognize faces. Now anonymous persons’ identifiers become a part of your video archive in the Faceter Cloud and they are available to view, name along with other options. For calculations and analytics, a miner will be credited FACE tokens which one can withdraw for electricity fees and node maintenance. Clients are happy having their video analytics, miners are happy being paid and Faceter is happy for implementing its mission of affordable facial recognition for all.

At this stage, the quality of miner’s recognition services is not analyzed by the computing exchange but part of our development of our fog video surveillance technology and thus new features will be coming soon at Stage 2. Stay tuned!

How do I contact you?

We have  a 24/7 Telegram Chat to communicate with our clients and miners. Here you can chat, ask us questions or share your suggestions with the team on Faceter fog client, its installation and launch. Also, you can always write to us on Facebook or email support@faceter.io.

Fees on Faceter Fog & first FACE burn

From the very beginning of our project, we envisioned Faceter Fog not only as an approachable, modern and affordable extension to video surveillance systems but also as a platform that allows equipment owners to earn money by providing facial recognition analytics of video streams for our customers. Faceter connects facial recognition consumers and specialized equipment owners who want to contribute their computing power to the global video analytics network.

At the end of 2019, we released CTP (Community Technology Preview) version of the Faceter Fog, where miners are able to connect their GPU servers in order to test the overall flow and get rewarded with FACE tokens.

Last three months we have been busy fixing a number of minor bugs in Fog Agent, improving the interface for camera owners, implementing browser push notifications, transaction details and more.

There is another major feature that was recently implemented on the platform - fees. These fees are taken and burned from payments between consumers and miners. The feature was rolled out two weeks ago and is being tested. During this time we had few active consumers onboard with the 12,000.00 FACE paid in total as fees which were successfully burned. This is a big milestone for Faceter Fog and we are really happy to share this news with you.

[

We make every effort to make sure that our project finds success. And right now it is very important for us to get feedback from as many testers as possible. These are our testers who are the pioneers laying the foundation for the development network of our project and launching the global burn of tokens. We know there is still plenty of work to do. That’s why your support is even more appreciated.

If you own equipment with these specifications*:

RAM: at least 16 GB;
CPU: Core i5-8xxx / equivalent or higher;
Nvidia video card: GTX 1060 6Gb / equivalent or higher;
Disk space: 200 GB + archive storage (depending on the camera bitrate and archive depth),

then download Faceter Fog Client, test it and earn FACE tokens today.

If you are an active video surveillance user, who wants to purchase face recognition services at affordable prices, download our application to your smartphone and register on our platform (for camera owners).

If you have any questions, you can always send us a message to support@faceter.io.

💥Introducing Faceter Fog API for Facial Recognition💥

We started working on a public API for face recognition and would like to explain, in more detail, why this is important and what updates will be released in the near future.

Studying various scenarios for face recognition implementation, we came to the conclusion that there are too many scenarios to properly cover within our own product. There are thousands of small and medium companies and developers who make great software – security and access control, CRM, traffic counting and other systems. For example, any CRM system, combined with Faceter Fog, can receive information on recognition results of people registered in that particular system, with the ability to extract data about them (age, gender, preferences, and so on). In an effort to easily use our technology, we are preparing a big and important release, in which a simple, open and affordable face recognition API will be available.

Below is a list of changes that we made to deliver the API

  • Callback configuration has been added, so you can integrate recognition events to third-party systems (documentation and testing tools are coming soon).

  • We have added more streaming sources (previously it was only possible to use the Faceter Mobile App for video recognition), and in the near future you will be able to connect cameras via RTSP, as well as add your own video files for recognition on our platform.

  • Fog Agent from the current version 0.10.0 now requires a secret key to communicate with the Fog Cloud.

To improve the security of data transmission between a miner’s Fog node and the Faceter servers, a special bridge (secret key), that ensures the safety of your device’s credentials, has been added. Instructions can be found on the github page: https://github.com/faceterteam/FaceterFOGClient.

In your miner account, you need to generate a secret key and save it:

  • Viewing recognition results is now available in the camera owner’s account.

Go to the Detection section in the camera owner's personal account. Here you will see the list of recognized faces. Please mind that it is just the first version of recognition without video itself.

Minor Changes

  • Registration with an email is now available for camera owners (instead of authorization via the Faceter Mobile App).

Previously, registration in Faceter Fog was conducted through the Faceter Mobile App. Now Faceter Fog has a separate registration system by email.

    IMPORTANT NOTE FOR EXISTING USERS
Previously registered in Faceter Fog via the Faceter App camera owners need to set an email and password in their account to log in via Fog. Login to Faceter Fog and update your profile with a valid email. This will be the only option to login for future releases.

  • Improved Facial Recognition activation.

Any camera owner can now view the details about their camera (camera name, date it was added to the system, personal meta info callback URL, personal visit callback URL) when creating a contract.

In the near future you will be able to connect cameras via RTSP, as well as add your own video files for recognition on our platform.

With the next release:

  • A very simple demo; so more people can see how the recognition actually works: right on the main page, you will be able to upload any video, recognize faces, and also see all the webhooks that would be sent via the API if there was any integration. This will save developers a ton of time when choosing a technology.
  • API-testing tools for developers.

Stay tuned for more updates!

If you still have any questions, please send us an email at support@faceter.io or ask our 24/7 support team in Telegram.

💥Introducing Faceter Fog API for Facial Recognition💥

Faceter Fog users can now add IP cameras via RTSP for facial recognition as well as other video sources using a public Cloud Faceter archive link. The RTSP protocol can be used to transmit images on CCTV systems and it is compatible with different devices in accordance with industrial hardware standards which makes it a great option for integration into our project.

How to add an IP camera for recognition:

After adding an IP camera via RTSP and creating a contract, a 24-hour archive will be recorded.

In a case, you do not have an IP camera you still can use Faceter mobile App as a source of your video stream. To add your public archive link follow the instructions provided in your account. If you have already tried to add your camera or source, share your impressions and feedback in our Telegram channel.

Stay tuned for more updates!

💥Facial Recognition API: Docs & Tools💥

There are two important updates on this matter:

What does that mean? Right now you can easily integrate Faceter Fog Facial Recognition API into your app or third-party platform. Test this and go live. Note that you can also run your own Faceter Fog node and process your data on your hardware free of charge.

We are eagerly waiting for your feedback whether it is positive or not! It is all about our steady improvement and mutual collaboration on these ambitious project development goals!

Stay tuned for more exciting updates coming soon!
