I have this motherboard and I have to use the AMD blockchain drivers otherwise the hashrate is terrible for my cards. I have had to send it back for repair. While it is getting repaired can anyone confirm that I can use the blockchain drivers for more than 8 GPUs? The asus manual states that for over 8 GPUs 17.10.2 drivers must be used (which don't give a good hashrate)??!!!

From your question I think you are referring to mining in windows, use the new amd adrenaline drivers like 17.12.1, go to the radeon control panel-->gaming-->global settings change the setting for gaming to compute that will be having the same effect as using the blockchain drivers.

Thanks inter  but I read that the adrenaline drivers give inferior hashrate compared to blockchain ones? Do you know is it's true?

tool to change the driver for compute mode - give a reboot after making this change
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2815803.0

you can also use "y" key in claymore (run as admin) to change drivers to compute mode - give a reboot after making this change

Enjoy mining Smiley

If this helps, buy me a beer Smiley

It is not true at all. In my work a few colleagues have one board like this one and with the adrenaline driver 17.11.1 of november 2017 it is working well with 11 amd graphic cards. For the hashrate just switch to compute mode from your radeon settings and the hashrate of a rx 580 is 31.6 mhs same as with blockchain drivers.

I actually prefer the new driver, much better than blockchain driver however nothing like the old amd drivers + wattool, right now you have to change the voltage within the bios which is bad, with old amd drivers + wattool we could change voltage on the fly regardless which voltage was in the bios. Removing voltage on the fly is regressing on progress. Yes you can change using afterburner but afterburner is bad for that and there is no other tool like wattool was.
