[03.04.2014 17:42:54] Larry/soniq: having all sorts of issues with miners, colocation owner is very unhappy. Recently had a PDU fry even though we were under the 25A rating, more than usual physical visits, constant remote power cycling
[03.04.2014 17:44:30 | Bearbeitet 17:45:08] Larry/soniq: he has mnetioned refunding my money and taking miners somewhere else, I am trying to negotiate a truth, but partially agree with him, the miners are not built very well it seems, and might not be a bad idea to sell  them and move on?
[03.04.2014 17:45:55] Ricardo Filipe: yeah they seem to give more work than they are worth ;\
[03:52:07] Tim Fuller: I don't see us getting what we paid for the miner if we do that...then again will we get what we paid for if we continue mining? Who knows.

Update

-Terraminer #3 is at Cointerra repair center, no estimated ETA
- no luck renegotiating a truth with colo owner, he wants the miners out. The sad part is the amount of money involved is not worth the legal costs to pursue any further and he knows that
He has promised a refund, but not sure yet how much will be refunded? 100% or prorated

So I propose that we auction the Terraminers off?

Or try and find another colo? I have talked to one other colo and they have room, but would be $2000 + a month for 5 Terraminers.

Thoughts?

Some of the miners have generated enough income to pay costs so will be sending a payment soon as I get this situation resolved.

Cheers

P.S. I have sent out an email to all members asking for a yes or no to selling the Terraminers in auction

I think we should try and continue to mine
Selling them will be less than $5000 for each
I think it may be possible to host them at cointerra
http://cointerra.com/cointerra-announces-hosting-partnership-terramine-hosting/
This may mean that is they break down cointerra will fix the sooner because of location
and may get better support
PS: I have paid 13.09 BTC on miner #3 ---- about 1/3 of that miner hashing power
I believe I you sell the miners you get about 10 BTC each i.e. I would get about 3 BTC for my 13.09 btc investment --- I estimate if we continue mining it possible to miner about 20 bitcoin per miner. IE I will earn about 7 BTC which is much better than selling them today .

So my votes is NO also I hope the voting is based on number of share held in this GB

really doesn't matter how we all vote in an email to him privately...he can just change it how he wants it...we all should vote here in public Cheesy and my vote is NO based on hardpick math...and we're already screwed...so no need in screwing us more...and the votes better be counted with share count otherwise that would be unfair...not like this whole GB has been fair lol

Would probably get a much better price selling on eBay. They can be listed as is,  no refunds, so don't have to deal with that 45 day paypal policy.

I have always sold miners to soon in the past.  If price of BTC goes up in a few weeks the miner can become quite valuable very quickly.  I would rather sell the miner when its worth more.  Its not worth much now with BTC only $447.

my view is the different

at $447 a bitcoin I would hang on to the miners

but if btc drops to say $200 or less then sell is a good option ( and buy BTC with the cash)

however I can't see btc dropping to below $200 so I would prefer not to sell at this stage and believe BTC will stay around $500 for the rest of the year

Hi

You might not agree with some of my management practices, but proof has shown that I received over 1500 BTC in payments for miners and have ordered all above said equipment.

I have also paid out over 1400 BTC in payments to my other GB.

You feedback in my trust rating is not only going to hurt the return you receive in auction  for your miner, but it is also defamatory.

Please govern yourself accordingly.

Cheers
Larry

Sorry Larry or soniq or who ever you are but my trust feedback STANDs ... I dont believe people voted 16 to 5 for selling the miners .... let do a do over but it will be an OPEN VOTE !!! Here and ONLY share holders .... Sad

Soniq now has negative trust showing on his profile.  Now nobody will bid on those items, or even worse, we will get a very bad price for them
