I'm expecting him to finish it because he got about 7 months of the average US income in 3 weeks, regardless of whether or not they were "donations".
But that's just my opinion.
I'm confused here... I just got done reading:
Reporting facts is called bitching? And bringing pitchforks?
C'mon.
Stop crying.
I expressed no opinions. Simply reported facts. Whether or not it is good or bad - you decide. Only you.
Are you still reporting facts?
1) US citizens made $13,401,868,693 in personal Income for 2012 <--- THIS is called a fact
http://bber.unm.edu/econ/us-tpi.htm2) the MEDIAN income in the united states for 2012 was $39,332 ($3,277.67/month) <--- This is ALSO a fact.
(for those not in the know, median means ~50% of people made LESS and ~50% of people made MORE than $39.332.)
Using these 2 facts alone, in "one month and three days" (as you stated in your OP), mtrlt has made ~3 months of MEDIAN income for the United States. <-- yet another fact
Now, when I was still in the Navy, my income was over $5000 per month, and compared to civilians doing the same job, I was extremely underpaid. So, now mtrlt has made less than 2 months of what I made when I was on active duty
8 years ago. <--- This again is a fact... are you writing this down?
Your <cough> FACT <cough> is..... lies.
Even now, working part time, I am making far more than your "average US income" figure.
The nest time you want to state facts, try using real ones, and
NOT what some high-school dropout sweeping floors at McDonalds while scratching his ass is earning.
That said let's get down to reporting... A
TRUE journalist reports this without bias or opinion. Your thread title alone shows you fail in this respect. When I saw you thread title my first thought was this thread belonged in one of those trash magazines next to an article on UFO's.
Damn, I was spot on.
This is an example of TRUE reporting:
It has been almost 5 weeks since mtrlt started working on a GPU program to mine Primecoins. In order to motivate him to work faster, he asked for donations from those interested in the project. While mtrlt has made some progress reports thus far, it is hard to follow them as his thread was starting to fill up with off-topic comments that had nothing to do with his work. He then created a new thread to make reports, but closed it when the off-topic posts continued. He has been silent since his last report nearly a week ago.
In other news, detractors of mtrlt have been flooding the internet with supposed facts that draw a very different picture from reality. One poster claims mtrlt has run off with "7 months of average US income". We checked into this claim and found that the poster thinks the 'average US income' is minimum wage. We ran a study on the OP's title to his thread, and many people disagreed with his stated comment that "he was just reporting facts and not opinions". We will keep you updated as more news breaks.
In related news, primedigger started a thread titled "So, why is porting primecoin mining to the GPU so difficult?". We read through his article (which can be found at:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=279194.0) and found some very interesting information. While it is too lengthy to discuss at length here, we encourage our readers to go and check it out, I feel there is a lot of information there that may explain mtrlt's silence.
Now, back to Jill for the Weather!
