I'm sorry for all the ones looking for speculations, this is not the purpose of the thread. I want to hear from the community about which coins will be making a difference in our world over the next few years.

Here are some alt coins

POWR. A great token that will change the way we deal with power. They are creating a blockchain where people can trade their excess energy

3dcoin.  They are creating their blockchain for the VR industry where anything is possible

Many altcoin have the potential to change our lives today. Like what happen to me i receive an altcoin that really change my life. It give me a big payout when i sold it.

Have you considered Hadron?  It's a project that actually looks to do something altruistic that has the potential to really make a difference for everyone.  Similar to the distributed projects that worked on simulating drugs and diseases.

Bitcoin is the only coin that I know of that can attempt to change a persons life. The only coin that comes close to that is Ethereum because of Ethereums Blockchain.

Deep Onion, Neblio and Ignition are all life changing type coins.  All are new in their development and have huge plans for 2018.

I would also go for DeepOnion, Electroneum, and a new ICO which is coming on February called Arcblock (they said they are going to introduce blockchain v3)

I think it would be ethereum since it is starting to make people think about how it can replace bitcoin being on top to and regularly growing I can't helped but to think that ethereum might be the next bitcoin. I think it is the closest altcoins that can make the same feat as what bitcoin does in the most of the lives of its investors.

Dude, this will only bring speculation as you say, because people have their own views. They have coins that they believe that the coins can change their lives in the future.
I myself think there will be some alt that will change your life, for example is ETH.
Why do I say so? because ETH is the only competitor of the closest bitcoin. What we see with ethereum is the exponential increase in the project phase. There are billions of $$ poured into the ecosystem (ethereum) today.

Any altcoins can be a life changer when its market value will rise drastically for long period of time or being so dominant in its price hike like bitcoin. There are many people who became instant millionaire not because of bitcoin but because of altcoins when their alt coins rises its price drastically.

Spend money wise and you should always look and be updated to what altcoin is in current top list. Everything changes, and so their values, going up and down and yet still on top list and most used.

the only altcoins that can change my lives are Ethereum, it really can change my lives, long before this, i always buy ethereum at 60 or 70 and sell at 80.
and right now, since after a great dump of bitcoin, it looks like i need a time to do that again

The Past: it were XLM (STR), XRP, NEO.

Future: DNR, DGB, NXT,BITB, 2GIVE,CDT,CMT,CND

these are good coins ever and will have good price in the future, this will help to change our lives.

I believe privacy coins will be in high priority in 2018.
I just recently found privacy token, their project is very interesting. I do believe that their prices might go x10 this year. And I haven't seen projects with a similar application of the privacy tokens.

finally someone here who cares about the world rather than the lamobs. Everex is a good project you should look into this like banking 2 billion unbanked people and microfinancing etc . I believe their token has real world useage. also the ethereum blockchain  is so much powerful due to its concept of smart contracts. sooner or later enterprises or general public will start using the smart contracts for their daily life usage. they just need to understand the power of samart contracts
