Does BoatPilot app work without Wi-Fi? If something goes wrong with the internet, may I use it?

Yes, it does, as every Tablet is equipped with GLONASS or GPS system that are enough for charting the route.

What do you mean by Tablet? Are there going to be released special tablets with pre-installed BoatPilot or something of this kind?

I`m a bit confused after all: in its essence, is Boat Pilot a chartplotter or just a marine navigator similar to Navionics?

As far as I know, BoatPilot is a chartplotter - it can display vessels`s coordinates using GPS or GLONASS, as well as the speed, the route etc.

How many tokens will be distributed during the bounty?Does anyone know this?

In total, 1.5% (3,446,064 tokens) of the total number of released tokens is allocated for marketing, promotion, PR and bounty.

Bounty is long over. The token is traded at a very low price and is not needed by anyone. That's all you need to know about this project)))

I bet there will be demand increase when they start to release promised features. I wouldn`t jump to conclusions at this point, there is a lot this project can offer.

There shall be, but I`d personally would like to see more official announcements.
I`m more interested in the project itself, token is a secondary thing for me.

As far as I know, currently NAVI is available for purchase at the following exchanges: DDEX, Mercatox and Lifecoin. Check them out, this is the easiest way to get tokens now.

I look forward to the release of BoatGod. Does anyone have the information on the issue? I didn’t find anything on their site.

It`s only said in the Road Map that they`ll start delivery of BoatGod hardware to corporate clients in Q3 2018. By this time they should be already on to it with fully developed module.
Waiting for official announcement.

Btw, are there any statements about paid features or premium accounts? It seems like a perfect platform to implement it.

Is it though? I think it would be redundant, as app already monetizes itself.

I also don`t see the point in introducing premium features, the token is enough for monetization. May be you have some specific ideas for premium features?

I'd say there is counter-point to it even. How could they naturally implement premium users, and not scare off those who do not wish to go prem? And also, what really would be good from buying yourself a premium? First thing that comes to mind, that you'd mine more if you are premium, but that sounds kinda "fishy". No pun intended.  Grin

I heard that the first buyers of tokens will have premium features.

After having a second thought, I actually agree with you guys. Devs implement premium to gain additional revenue from users in initially unmonetized systems (i.e. in games) for selling virtual stuff, this feature seems really redundant here.

As for some specific ideas - I had only the general idea that premium features may fit nicely in BoatPilot environment, but as already said it`s really not necessary.

Agreed here as well. Premium features naturally divide community into two parts. This is the negative side of premium, despite all profit it can bring to the team.

As I understood from the WP, they`ll just receive bonus tokens depending on how much they purchase.

From the first glance BP looks like a simple navigator. What`s the key difference from the other products present in the market?

BP has additional features. For example, augmented reality mode.

Are there any info on which AR gear they`ll use? I bet there is room for more partnership with AR-producing companies.

So basically BoatPilot project it is not just a simple navigator as it consists of three elements:
1. BoatPilot - the navigator itself.
2. Pocket Skipper - service app, here you can check ads, book yachts etc. As far as I know it`s not released yet.
3. BoatGod - the most interesting part for me. Hardware module that gathers Geodata and helps to keep community`s maps up to date.

Altogether, if we consider both BoatGod and promised AR capabilities, this is one of the most (if not the only) hardware-driven projects out there.
