Investing in ICO's is the most riskiest investment you could make right now in the crypto world i believe . There are countless numbers of new coins each providing unique and attractive ideas . But not all of them are going to succeed because of their kind and well written work. It's like gambling if you are lucky enough the project will succeed and you will get hella profits . It's all up to you and your way of analyzing ICO's . If it fits what you think is a successful project ,  then go with your guts and invest in it ,but you must know that you should invest at your own risk and only what you could afford to lose . Don't put your life savings away no matter how good of a project it seems.

The biggest risk you can get when investing in ICO is that you can lose all the assets you are investing in ICOs when that ICO project is unsuccessful or deceptive. You will not be able to get your property back because there is no document proving your investment is legal for the time being when you invest in the ICO. ICO investment is a very hot trend now, so scam ICO projects are also very much there, always stay awake and study carefully before deciding to invest in any project because it is the investment is quite risky but the result is great.

All of us do have indeed a dream on getting rich and thinking of on expanding our investment once we do have the money is always there but to remind you every investment do really have certain risk either in online or offline you wont really be excluded on that risk.If you are doing bounty as of now and making money on those tokens you do earn its not really bad to extent the ways of earning which isnt really bad either but you should really prepare yourself and investing on ICO wont really be an easy stuff. All you need is to research up things related into a project and only invest to those who you do see that do have potential.

Like in any other investments, investing on ICOs also have some risk. How risky is it? You will understand after spending some time understanding all things you need to face once you throw money on any ICOs. It's possible that you can gained big returns while at the same time, you can also lose big money here if the ICO goes wrong.

Here are some of the risks:

- Since helding an ICO is one of the "fastest" way to gather money, scammers might take advantages on this.
- Distirbution
- To be able to take advantage of the tokens you will received on ICO, it must be listed first on an exchange. Not just an "exchange" but an exchange with big volume.
- Too much hype on the project attracting investors. But in the end, the expectations doesn't reached the reality even for long term.
- etc. etc etc.

You can minimized thoses risks by doing some "quality check" on some of the projects. It will not give you an assurance that they will run successfully in the long run but it might give you some ideas that you are throwing away your money to a project that is worth a shot.

Once you invested on ICO and that project run for long run, don't expect much profit at early phase. Some tokens when listed on exchange are having a slow rise. They also following their roadmaps so don't rush things.

Look and search for a good ico, and put your funds in there, if you are lucky, you can easily make a x2 from your entire investment without any efforts.

Investments always have some risks involved due to its nature. And it is because we can't see future, this is the main thing I can think off.
As an investor, we always try to minimize the risk and move forward in the hope of success. If you step into the investment world then you have to consider both profit and loss.

To minimize the risk, it is better to divide your overall capital into many parts and invest in different ICOs. Remember, "do not put all the eggs in one basket"?

Acouple of years ago ICO is the gateway of making 3X or more out of investment and the risk involve in ICO is that ICO is now the fastest way to loose investment right now simply because the online theft are using to steal from people. In other to avoid been scam through ICO you need to consider the promoting techonolgy, the team involve, partners etc.

It's indeed a risky investment, but I would say the riskiest kind of investment in Crypto-Currency world is Ponzi/HYIP. Most of these ICOs won't succeed on long term, so the "hit and run" strategy is used, you wait a fast pump, sell all your coins and wait for the next opportunity on a next ICO and forget forever about the last coin you have used to trade. And there are another situations which the ICO team fails: isn't able to create the currency or fail in putting it on the market, so total loss for you as investor... I agree, at this time the OP is in no position to invest in icos if he has to even ask if there is any risk, icos is a game for those that have a lot of experience and even with that an investor does not get profits all the time from his investments, so the op needs to start first with an investment in bitcoin, then when he gets more experience he may invest in some of the top alts, then in the rest of the alts and finally when you have done all that and obtain profits, then you can invest in icos.

ICO's is very risky and its not advisable for newbies to get in into it because your money might loss and don't expect easy money through ICO. First you need to study how this market works and you must do your research about the project you are planning to invest with. Not all ICO's succeed, some of those are just a scam so you better stay away from this and back later on if your mind is ready go invest on it.

there is a risk, but it depends on how you choose ICO ,, although there are some ICOs that do SCAM but that's only a handful of those who are just looking for profit from every investor .. a lot of good ICO and run successful and it will be your advantage to invest in ICO

If the team behind that product is good and if they can come up with the product what they described in their white paper then early investors going to benefit a lot from these ICO investments. But these days there are so many of them coming up every day and it has become challenging find out which is good and which one bad. So temporarily I have stopped investing in any of these ICO projects.

All investment type has its own risk. If you invested on 2017 ICO you have a higher chance to double or x10 your money. however for this 2018, i dont think ICO will still be like before. Just look for promising ICO backed with existing product, great developers and community support.

Ypu can loss all your money in ICO if the developer gone. You will loss your money if you sell your coin in lower price. Become investors in ICO means that you will become long term investors. You should thrust your dev although the price of the coin that you buy is decrease.
