It's not like that bitcoin is not useless if it was useless than it may not have been so popular and costly as compared to other crypto currency.Its the matter of time nothing else which makes it useless or worthy and one should not decide its usefulness or uselessness by just obeserving a slight fall in it's price.It will recover soon and people will again gain faith over it .

BTC is scam of the century, stay away.

Even if Bitcoin is used mostly for speculation, how can it be useless? People work to receive payment and if you can receive the same payment via Bitcoin, is it really useless? It may be the scam of the century but it brought about other cryptocurrencies. Or are you gonna say that the whole field is one big scam?

I respect your point of view when it comes to bitcoin. It wasn't entirely useless if a lot of people are benefiting from it. A lot of people get rich because of bitcoin and I think it is quite rude to say it was useless.

I agree with that, and if you think that Bitcoin is useless what the point of being here ? Maybe you some reason, but just think about the people who really earn here was a living legend, no to doubts because of the things that you may obtain here maybe its not a physical money but still useful.

The title caught my attention, just want to know who are the possible personality doesnt like bitcoin and also the reason. As i read it and understand every word indicated and weigh the feelings involve here, somehow you got a point there. I also aware that bitcoin has no value at all. Its just a representation of money or value. But, people like bitcoin because they experience earning big with it. (including me). Well maybe bitcoin is useless for you, i know that there are some aspects about bitcoin that's not really good, and we can say it's the disadvantage of bitcoin, like high transact fees and such.
But for me myself, bitcoin is useful, i choose bitcoin as investment already, and it's up to everyone whether they want to think bitcoin is useless, or not.

Yes Bitcoin is losing it's shine in terms of payment method as it takes long time to process a transaction and also the transaction fee is higher hence people would prefer different altcoins as a mean of payment like ripple or stellar which has lightening speed transaction and lesser transaction charges.

It was curious for me to read this post. If I never knew anything about Bitcoin and if BTC would never let me earn MUCH, I would listen to you and stay away from this crypto. But for me Bitcoin is the best currency that makes my life quality better, thus I disagree.

I am amazed with number of people being fooled with BTC:

1. Transactions takes hours
2. Fees are high
3. Development team sucks, uncapable solve scalability issues for years
4. Its not anonymous, every solution to make it, failed so far
5. Its centralized: who is biggest hash power owner? Who is biggest miner hardware provider? Who owns most of bitcoins? What is % of Bitcoins in coldstorage and what in exchanges ( Ye Mt Gox )
6. There is 0 economics for BTC, it just tight to USD with liquidity providers, cut that and try to value pizza box with just BTC
7. Its not store of value, its not digital gold, and it will never be 100k USD. Because it has no value. It has value only for energy probiders, hardware manufactures and random phils.
8. Its not insured, If some crap happened to your BTC, its gone.
9. Bitcoin has a limited supply, but it does not help much. Bitcoin has a code that can be amended and its enough of small group of people to work together to support that. Question really is: do someone need that hassle? No really. Bitcoin has satoshis, that currently meaningless and just nice numbers after dot, but this a very well painless way to inflate any crypto currency and its up to liquidity providers. useless, guys the fact that some of you become reach and wealthy does not make Bitcoin useful. You wealth does not come from values that are used in propaganda.

1. Why I am still here? I believe there are technologies that are better maintained and lead than BTC, I prefer put money in something that bring value, has use-case and been used.
2. LN is panacea! Well not, so far its more dream than reality, no doubt it will be delivered in one or other way, but it will not solve all problems and so far it has more questions than answers.

UPDATE 24/01/2018:

Everyone is amazed of why I called it useless, well, recently Stripe dropped support for Bitcoin payments. This is the prove of Bitcoin being useless. Stripe was not the only one in recent months to do so. It should ring a bell.

Everyone of us has our own opinion about bitcoin. If what you think about it is bad then i will not argue with you, i will respect your thoughts about bitcoin. But for me bitcoin really helps especially in financial aspects since it gives a financial freedom even to students and those who have low salary workers. As long as bitcoin exist i will continue to patronize cryptocurrency no matter how many people throw bad images on it.

I have many friends and relatives that are into bitcoin. And all of them improve their lives alot compared to before. So i think bitcoin is nit useless because it helps many people.

I admit that Bitcoin is kinda difficult to use for payments at this time, but I am hoping for a solution to this soon. That said, I am still keeping some Bitcoin as an investment in case we will see improvements soon.
