About Murfy



Murfyis a rescue that we rescued in Rhode Island in 2010 from Mutts4Rescue.
He had been mistreated and was scared of everyone.
The rescue foundation asked us if we wanted to keep him, because as they drove him to meet us,
she noticed that he was partially blind and had cataracts. We decided he really needed a home,
and got him the surgery to help with his eyesight. He is doing awesome now,
but is still scared of everyone and so I created this coin for him.

In honor of Murfy, the coin has a mining lifetime of about 14 years,
the same life-span as a Bichon Frise. It should be fully mined by 2031,
but the majority of coins will be issued over the next couple of years.

Because he's a big ball of fluffy, the ticker is FLUFF.

The difficulty has increased because of the announcement, the coin uses DGW, when a lot of people are mining the difficulty is high. When high hashrate miners are offline, the difficulty drops lower after about 3 hours. You probably need to join the pool to mine it.

Hey TShaw - It was just teething problems, the coins mature after 30 confirmations (30 minutes), so you have to wait at least that long, but when they confirmed there was not enough money in the pool wallet to pay the fees for the transactions. Should be sorted in a minute. Let me know if you have any other problems in future.

Thanks! Some coin wallets get flagged by Avast (some of my Altcoins wallets have the same problem MurfCoin does)

Because of all the botnet mining, it flags a lot of crypto stuff. Other AVs may also do the same. But the wallet is fine, you can see the source code if your worried :-)

I guess they all wanted to take advantages of traders when bitcoin prices was so high and they would have made more than 300% profit on all withdrawals.

Not even to mention listing fees just to add a new coin to an exchange and we do it for free.

I personally believe by keeping our fees as low as possible would attract more investors.

You may try to list murfcoin at exvo.io It's new exchange and I think their listing fees is still reasonable atm. Even, I see some coins are listed there for free.

Well the Dev has been offline for over a month now... I don't want to see the vision of this coin die and I'm sure I am not alone. If by the end of the month, Dev has not returned, I will be taking over the project. First priority will be getting on an exchange, and I will take over the donation process as well.

Bad news is, all the coins in the current donation wallets can't be accessed. But the good news is, that means less coins currently in circulation, which might help bring the price up and help us save more rescue animals!

Until the original dev has signed off, I do not support any takeover. Fork your own coin if you feel the need to carry on the mission, but until the original dev has said (which he hasn’t) that he’s out, I support no changes.

Attempts or efforts to get listed, however, I’m happy to support. Let me know what you need to help.

Good Morning all - Some exciting news.

Our exchange is done. Everything has been tested properly.

Excuse me. You did register on the exchange in order to exchange your murfcoins for bitcoins. You welcome to withdraw you murfcoins and take it somewhere else if you wish. Currently cryptomarkets.co.za is the only exchange that listed murfcoins.

Further it seems that murfcoins are dying and I just tried to assist all of those who believes that murfcoin can succeed.

All withdraws are manually approved for safety and security purposes. All withdraw requests will be thoroughly audited before releasing your coins.

No time for scammers and chancers to simply try and bullshit the excxhange.

Trust you will find this in order to protect your own money and those who actually invest in the exchange.

If you have issues their is channels available on the exchange to submit support tickets.

Hey Folks - I am still here, but this is a part-time effort. I pay for all of the hosting/pools etc still, so I have not abandoned it, but I really did not have the time to get it up and running on an exchange.

In terms of doing something with the coin, I did try to get it listed on major and minor exchanges, but it was probably poor timing as the whole market was dying at the time.

Fixed up the explorer! Coin is still going - recent downtrends in crypto mean its been next to impossible to get it on any kind of exchange.

I don't think donations will get you very far in regards to a high quality listing as that is extremely expensive.
